Abstract

Developing creativity in early childhood is one of the educational problems that challenges educators and kindergarten managers. The teachers try to increase students’ creativity in recognizing geometric shapes through playing in the block center. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques are through observation and documentation, while data collection tools use interview and observation guidelines. Based on the results of research conducted regarding learning to recognize geometric shapes based on beam centers which was carried out in two kindergartens guided and supervised by teachers who have good competence, it can improve students’ creative thinking abilities. Students can develop their imagination, show exploratory activities, create works that look like real shapes using various materials, have great curiosity and have high perseverance when taking part in learning at the block center and understand geometric shapes and can apply them to recognize geometric shapes in everyday life

Abstract

This research aims to obtain an overview and information about the transformational leadership management of school principals in improving teacher discipline and performance in learning which includes: 1) planning, 2) organizing, 3) implementation, 4) supervision, and 5) evaluation. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was obtained from information, places and activities of the school principal’s leadership activities, as well as documents. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation and document study. Data validity testing was carried out by applying source triangulation and method triangulation. The data analysis technique is in the form of an interactive analysis technique, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing which interact with each other. Transformational leaders have the ability to align their vision of the future with their subordinates, as well as raise the needs of subordinates at a higher level than they need. The research results consist of the main findings, namely: 1) the three madrasas have a vision, mission, strategy and goals as an indication of the clear direction of a learning plan; 2) The school principal can provide attention in the form of facilities in the teaching and learning process, provide solutions, provide main duties, and provide motivation to teachers who meet targets; 3) The principal’s transformational leadership management does not work as it should, but teacher discipline and performance can run well even though it is not as expected; 4) monitoring and evaluation of the three madrasas that have implemented transformational leadership management well, although not yet optimally.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the management of skills programs in schools. Management is a process consisting of a series of activities; planning, organizing, mobilizing and supervising. The aim of this research is to get an overview of planning, implementation, evaluation, obstacles and efforts in vocational programs. The research method and approach is descriptive qualitative using observation, interview and documentation study techniques. As for the research results in planning, the school principal and teachers work together to create a vocational program, starting with determining the goals to be achieved, choosing materials, methods and media as outlined in the RPP. The implementation of learning has gone well even though the results have not been optimal. In learning evaluation, the aim is to find out the extent to which children understand the material, the teacher has carried out an evaluation even though he has not done it optimally, the obstacles that exist in implementation arise due to the lack of function of the school principal, vocational teachers, limited skills space, curriculum, not yet having assessment instruments. interests and talents, lack of cooperation between parents and teachers, lack of cooperation with business owners. Efforts to overcome the obstacles that exist in vocational learning by providing training or courses to teachers, seeking information about interest and talent assessments, school principals and teachers are starting to actively seek information and collaborate between parents and business owners

Abstract

This research is because of the low motivation of the students in learning. This research aims to know how big of the influences of the the teachers competence among their pedagogical, personality, sociality and professionality for students motivation in learning both partially or simultaneously. The method for this research is the survey method with quantitative approach. The population used is the eleventh grade students from computer and information engineering program of Pasundan 2 Vocational School Cimahi and PGRI 3 Vocational School Cimahi. The amount are 54 students. All of them are as the sample of the research. The result shows that patially, (1) The teacher pedagogical competence has the positive influence for the student’s motivation in learning, it gets 30,46%. (2) The teacher personality competence has the positive influence for the student’s motivation in learning, it gets 9,84%, (3) The teacher social competence has the positive influence for the student’s motivation in learning, it gets 18,06%, (4) The teacher professional has the positive influence for the student’s motivation in learning, it gets 13,43%, and simultaneously (5) Pedagogical, personality, social and professional for the teacher competence has the positive effect to motivate students in learning, it is 71,79% and 28,21% is determined by the other variables. Based on the results of the research it can be concluded that the pedagogical, personality, sociality and professionality competence of teachers partially and simultaneously has a positive influence for the student’s motivation in learning.

Abstract

Many parents do not understand parenting skills. The aim of this research is to obtain an overview and information about (1) planning for parent empowerment based on parenting activities (2) organizing parent empowerment based on parenting activities (3) Implementation of parent empowerment based on parenting activities (4) evaluation of parent empowerment based on parenting activities (5) obstacles and solutions for empowering parents based on parenting activities. This research uses a qualitative approach and study methods in kindergarten. IPIMAC and TK. Bina Muda Cicalengka District. Bandung. The research results illustrate that (1) in planning, goals have been determined, identified existing problems, identified situations and developed plans (2) In organizing, committees have been formed, infrastructure, time allocation, place of activity implementation, search for reliable resources in parenting, looking for material (3) implementation of parenting activities by holding foundation classes, counseling and parent’s day (4) evaluation carried out after the activity is completed to determine the level of success of the activity (5) obstacles and solutions that occur in parenting activities to achieve the goals that have been set plans must be resolved immediately by finding a solution and implementing the solution. The general conclusion from this research is that parental empowerment based on parenting activities that have been carried out with the guidance of a psychologist can make a positive contribution to the development of students’ noble moral character. The development of students’ character shows positive changes in both behavior and speech.

Abstract

The learning process is now progressing very rapidly, especially in the field of technology in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, therefore there is a need for adaptation to improve learning to use technology such as Diagnostic Trouble Code in vocational high schools whose orientation has a special area of technology expertise. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques through observation, interview guidelines and documentation. Based on the results of research conducted regarding Android-based learning using diagnostic trouble code applications implemented in two vocational schools, guided and mentored by teachers who have good competence, it can increase student competence. students can elaborate on the practice of using diagnostic trouble codes easily, this does not require the possibility of opening up opportunities for students to create businesses with independent competitiveness

Abstract

The problem in this research is that the quality of tutors does not meet standards. The performance indicators used are work quality, attendance, punctuality, initiative, ability and communication. This research aims to describe and analyze the role of the Head of SPNF SKB as a manager in increasing the productivity of learning tutors’ performance at UPT SPNF. The research method used is descriptive qualitative analysis. Data collection techniques using observation studies, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques, namely narrative analysis techniques, text meaning analysis, conversation analysis and scientific theory analysis. Data were tested by triangulating data sources from various appropriate research tests. The research results show that the management role of the Head of SNPF SKB is in increasing the productivity of the teaching performance of SKB Cimahi City and SKB Bandung City, namely in Early Childhood Education and Package C.

Abstract

The synergy between educational institutions and DUDI does not work optimally, which causes the absorption capacity of vocational school graduates to remain low. The demand for increased competitiveness through the quality of work-ready graduates, where graduate output and outcomes are a priority. The general aim of this research is to determine and analyze the synergy of educational institutions with DUDI in improving the quality of vocational school graduates. The specific objectives of this research are (1). Know and explain policies and programs with DUDI in improving the quality of graduates; (2). Implementation and results with DUDI in improving the quality of graduates; (3). Problems and weaknesses faced with DUDI in improving the quality of graduates; (4). Future trends and demands with DUDI in improving the quality of graduates; (5). Efforts and steps for future improvements with DUDI in improving the quality of graduates. The research was carried out using a case study approach at SMK Lentera Bangsa 1 Karawang, SMK Nurul Ansor Karawang and SMK Lentera Bangsa 2 Karawang using qualitative methods. The conclusion of this research is that there is a common goal through the synergy of educational institutions with DUDI, the synergy of educational institutions with DUDI has improved the quality of graduates absorbed. The synergy helps vocational school graduates be ready for work and makes it easier for companies to recruit quality graduates. The synergy of educational institutions with DUDI has an impact on improving the quality of graduates both in terms of input, process, output and outcome.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of student motivation in literacy, especially as the current digital generation, students' learning styles must be varied and more enjoyable. The general aim of the research is to find out and analyze digital literacy management in order to increase student creativity using the Canva application, while the specific aim is to find out and analyze planning to increase enthusiasm for learning, implementing learning as a more interactive learning experience, and evaluating the results of student creativity. evaluation research method with a qualitative approach. Using the Canva application provides significant benefits for students, not only helping to improve literacy skills but also creating a more interactive learning experience resulting in student creativity with graphic design that produces work with an attractive visual appearance and this is the answer to our research that with Using the Canva application is able to increase the digital literacy creativity of students at SMPN 11 Sukabumi City and their ability to use technology on a daily basis, especially in creating more focused visuals with the Canva application.

Abstract

Leaders of educational institutions cannot be separated from policy and decision making. Policy and decision making are interrelated things. The school principal as the pillar of leadership in the elementary school education unit has a very big contribution to the smooth implementation of the independent curriculum. The approach used by researchers in this research is a qualitative approach. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method. In implementing the independent curriculum, school principals bear diverse and complex responsibilities, for example, school management activities which are very complicated and energy-consuming. School principals are required to be able to collaborate with various parties such as the teacher council, administrative staff, students, parents, and also the community around the school and together maximize the inventory owned by the school. The role of the principal in the implementation of driving schools includes the principal as planner, head schools as implementers, principals as supervisors, principals as leaders and principals as supervisors. Schools face various challenges both internal and external in implementing the independent curriculum.
