<![CDATA[This study aims to improve the ability to write Observation Report text of class X students of SMK Negeri 10 Makassar through various stages applied in the Genre-Based Approach (GBA). Data were obtained during planning, action implementation, observation and reflection through tests, classroom observation, and documentation. The test was conducted three times (initial test, cycle I test, and cycle II test). The research instruments used were LHO text writing skill test questions, analysis sheets, and observation sheets, as well as documentation guides. The research method used was classroom action research (PTK) which was carried out in two cycles. In cycle I, the results showed that only about 40% or 12 students managed to reach the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) and as many as 60% or 18 students who did not reach the KKM. However, after improvement and repetition through cycle II, the percentage of students who reached the KKM increased significantly to 90%. The results showed that the Genre-Based Approach (GBA) approach was able to improve the writing skills of the Observation Report text. This study concludes that the Genre-Based Approach (GBA) approach is effective in helping students master the writing of observation reports.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to improve the ability to write descriptive texts by applying the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach. The type of research used in this study is Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this study were students of class VII-3 SMP Negeri 24 Makassar totalling 36 people. The research instrument used in this study was a performance test. The research data were analysed using descriptive statistics. The results of the study found that the completeness of learning outcomes of Makassar culture-based writing that in cycle 1 with an average of 35% while cycle 2, experienced an increase with an average value to 83%. Based on this, it can be concluded that the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach is effectively used in improving the ability to write description text.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to improve the ability to write short stories using Mind Mapping of class IX students of SMP Negeri 26 Makassar. The research method used was classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The sample of this research was class IX students of SMP Negeri 26 Makassar, totalling 23 students. Research data were obtained through planning, action implementation, observation and reflection through tests, class observation, and documentation. The results showed that in cycle I about 13.04% or 3 out of 23 students who managed to reach the completion criteria and as many as 86.96% or 20 out of 23 students who did not reach completeness. However, after improvement and repetition through the second cycle, the percentage of students who reached the KKM increased significantly to 82.60%. This shows that the use of the Mind Mapping method can improve learning outcomes in writing short stories.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to improve the ability to write poetry using Podcast learning media for students of class IX SMPN 27 Makassar. The sample was selected using simple random sampling technique so that the number of samples in this study was 32 students. The research instrument used was a poetry writing test. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistics. The results showed that in cycle I a total of 21 students scored below 65, while the number of students in cycle II in the low score category <65 decreased dramatically and the number of students in the higher score category <85 increased. These results show the success of Podcast media in improving students' ability to write poetry.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to improve students' analytical and collaborative skills in writing news texts by applying the Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) method. This study uses the Classroom Action Research method with two cycles, involving 36 students from class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Gowa as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, field notes, analysis tests, collaboration tests, and questionnaires. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in students' skills in understanding the elements of news texts (5W+1H), the appropriate use of language, as well as motivation and cooperation within groups. In the first cycle, the average score for students' analytical and collaborative skills reached 71.8%, and increased to 87% in the second cycle. These findings indicate that the application of the Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) learning method is effective in increasing students' active participation, improving the quality of group discussion outcomes, and encouraging students to be more motivated and engaged in learning. Therefore, the Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) method can be an effective alternative in news text learning at senior high schools.]]>

<![CDATA[his study aims to apply the storytelling method to improve the speaking skills of students at Makassar State Senior High School 5. This study is a Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles. The research subjects consisted of 30 students in grade XI. The instruments used included speaking skill tests and observations. Data analysis techniques were carried out quantitatively and qualitatively, by comparing the test results in cycles I and II using the percentage of improvement. The results showed that the application of the storytelling method significantly improved the speaking skills of students. In cycle I, the average score of students reached 65.5 with a mastery level of 16.7%. After improvements were made in cycle II, the average score increased to 84 with a mastery level of 93.3%. This improvement was seen in five main assessment aspects, namely fluency, pronunciation, intonation, grammar, and mastery of material. The storytelling method has been proven to not only improve technical aspects of speaking but also enhance students' confidence, creativity, and enthusiasm in learning. Storytelling can be used as an effective learning strategy to improve speaking skills while motivating students to be more active and creative in the learning process.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to explore the application of the "Make A Match" cooperative learning model in improving students' learning outcomes on descriptive text material. This model allows students to actively collaborate, encouraging conceptual understanding through matching information. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research was conducted in Class VII 9 at SMP Negeri 24 Makassar, involving 30 students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed a significant increase in the students' average score from 65 to 85 after the implementation of the "Make A Match" model. In addition, this model also enhanced students' collaborative skills, critical thinking, and learning motivation. The application of this method not only strengthened academic understanding but also created an interactive and enjoyable learning atmosphere, as well as developed students' social skills.]]>

<![CDATA[The effect of the discovery learning learning model on the ability to write exposition texts for grade XII students of SMAN 8 Makassar. The expected research objective is that this study aims to determine the influence of the discovery learning learning model on writing ability in the exposition texts of grade XII students of SMAN 8 Makassar. This research is a quantitative descriptive research. The technique used to collect data for this research is a test technique. The test instrument is used to determine the ability to write exposition texts of students. The results showed that the average score of students' ability to write exposition texts before using the learning model was 69.5. After being treated using the discovery learning model, the average score obtained by students was 80.2. The results of the hypothesis test with inferential statistics (t-test) independent samples test) stated that the research hypothesis was accepted because of the t-calculated t-value of >the t-table (6000>1,690). The improvement in the ability to write explanatory texts using the learning model was 78%, which was previously 41% without using the learning model. In other words, there is an influence of the discovery learning learning model on the ability to write expository texts for grade XII students of SMA Negeri 8 Makassar.]]>

<![CDATA[The Influence of Problem Based Learning Model on Writing Skills of Exposition Texts of Class XII SMA Negeri 8 Makassar aims to: (1) describe the writing skills of exposition texts of Class XII students of SMA Negeri 8 Makassar before using the problem based learning model; (2) describe the writing skills of exposition texts of Class XII students of SMA Negeri 8 Makassar after using the problem based learning model; and (3) test the influence of using the problem based learning model on the learning outcomes of writing exposition texts of Class XII students of SMA Negeri 8 Makassar. This research is a type of quantitative research. The research design used is the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The results of data analysis show that: (1) the learning outcomes of learning to write exposition texts of Class XII students of SMA Negeri 8 Makassar before using the problem based learning model are categorized as less skilled with an average value of 63.75; (2) the learning outcomes of learning to write exposition texts of Class XII students of SMA Negeri 8 Makassar after using the problem based learning model are categorized as quite skilled with an average value of 84.35; (3) the results of the hypothesis test show that the sig. <![CDATA[This study aims to determine how audiovisual media is applied to improve news text writing. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 11 Makassar. The problem of this research is how the results of writing news texts. Implementation, improvement, activity and student response in writing news text using audiovisual media. This type of research is quantitative. The form of pre-experimental design research with one group pre-test post-test design. The population of the study was all students of class XI. The research sample was taken using purposive sampling technique, so that class XI 7 with a total of 30 people was obtained as the experimental class. The results of the study showed that the learning outcomes of writing news texts were a post-test score of 12.63 and a pre-test score of 9.83. From the data, the N-Gain calculation was carried out at 0.54 with a moderate category, meaning that there was an increase in the ability to write news texts using audiovisual media. The implementation results reached a value of 94.45 with a very good category. The average data on student activities showed negative behavior of 6.13% and positive behavior of 93.84%. Student response data showed that the use of audiovisual media showed a positive response of 88.74% and a negative 11.25%.]]>
