Abstract

This study discusses the 17th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), Partnership for the Goals, which highlights the importance of global collaboration in achieving shared prosperity. The main focus of this research is on three key instruments of global partnership: external debt, foreign investment, and foreign aid. These instruments play a crucial role in supporting development in developing countries, but they also raise controversies related to economic dependence, global power imbalances, and the effectiveness of aid. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach based on a literature review of international reports and academic research. The analysis shows that although debt, investment, and foreign aid offer opportunities for technology transfer, economic growth, and poverty reduction, their sustainability largely depends on governance, transparency, and equality among nations. Therefore, global partnerships should be directed toward more inclusive and equitable systems to ensure that global development goals can be achieved sustainably.

Abstract

The quality of human resources is a fundamental pillar of a country’s development, and education plays a crucial role in shaping this quality. Education not only provides knowledge and skills but also builds attitudes, values, and competencies that enable individuals to contribute effectively to social and economic development. This study aims to examine how education can enhance human growth and improve the overall quality of human resources. The research employs a descriptive quantitative method by distributing questionnaires to thirty members of the general public. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques to identify community perceptions regarding the importance of education in human development. The results show that the majority of respondents strongly believe that education has a significant positive impact on human growth. Education is perceived as an essential tool for improving critical thinking abilities, increasing productivity, and fostering awareness of the importance of active participation in national development processes. Furthermore, respondents indicated that education contributes to the development of discipline, creativity, and adaptability, which are necessary to face global challenges and technological changes. Education also plays an important role in reducing social inequality by providing equal opportunities for individuals to improve their quality of life. Overall, these findings confirm that improving the quality of education should be a top priority in national development strategies. High-quality education is essential to produce competitive, innovative, and superior human resources that can significantly contribute to sustainable national progress.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of development management in Tulang Bawang Regency, particularly in integrating policy, fiscal capacity, and public participation during the transition to the 2025–2029 Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD). The study employed a descriptive qualitative method using data triangulation techniques derived from regional planning documents, financial statistical reports, and sectoral program evaluation results. The findings reveal that Tulang Bawang Regency has achieved significant progress in regional transformation and succeeded in reducing stunting rates through the Bergerak Melayani Warga (BMW) program. However, these achievements have not been supported by strong fiscal independence, while public participation remains largely dominated by a technocratic approach. The study highlights the urgent need for reforms in digitalization-based regional revenue management and stronger substantive community involvement to ensure that future regional development becomes more independent, participatory, sustainable, and inclusive in accordance with local community aspirations. These reforms are expected to strengthen governance effectiveness and improve equitable development outcomes across all regional sectors.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze student time management and its relationship to academic productivity among students in the Economics Education Study Program, Jambi University, class of 2023. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with a number of students selected purposively. The results showed that most students were unable to manage their time optimally, as reflected in the habit of procrastinating on assignments, a lack of structured planning, and an imbalance between academic and non-academic activities. Many students tended to work on assignments only close to the deadline and found it difficult to maintain a consistent schedule. Conversely, students who had a more structured time plan, such as compiling daily to-do lists and setting priorities, demonstrated better academic productivity. They were able to complete assignments on time, produce better quality work, and were more active in the learning process and class discussions. This study confirms that effective time management plays a crucial role in improving student academic productivity, both in terms of the quality of work results and the timeliness of assignment completion. Therefore, more intensive efforts are needed to increase students' awareness and skills in time management, so they can achieve optimal learning outcomes, reduce stress levels, and face academic demands more efficiently. In this context, developing good time management strategies is essential to help students maximize their academic potential.

This study aims to analyze the socio-economic characteristics, income levels, and welfare levels of business actors at Lake Sipin Tourism, Jambi City. A descriptive survey approach was employed, involving 50 business actors as the sample selected through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using structured questionnaires, while descriptive analysis based on criteria established by the Central Statistics Agency was applied as the primary analytical tool. The findings reveal that the socio-economic profile of business actors is predominantly female, with an average age of 42 years, a senior high school educational background, and operating food-based businesses independently with considerably limited capital. In terms of income, the average monthly net income of Rp2,486,000 falls within the moderate category according to the Central Statistics Agency criteria, although 40% of respondents still belong to the low-income group. Meanwhile, the welfare level was measured through the proportion of food consumption expenditure relative to total household expenditure, which reached 48.41% per month, placing the majority of business actors within the moderate welfare category overall.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability, company size, and type of public accounting firm on Key Audit Matters (KAM), with audit fees as a moderating variable in manufacturing sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2022–2024 period. This study used a quantitative approach with a purposive sampling method. Data were obtained from audited financial statements and annual reports published on the official Indonesia Stock Exchange website. The study sample consisted of 67 companies, with a total of 201 observations. Data analysis techniques used included descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results showed that profitability had a significant negative effect on KAM disclosure, while company size had a significant positive effect on KAM disclosure. The type of public accounting firm showed a significant negative effect on KAM disclosure. Furthermore, audit fees did not moderate the relationship between profitability and KAM, but they did moderate the relationship between company size and type of public accounting firm on KAM disclosure. This study demonstrates that company and auditor characteristics play a significant role in determining the disclosure of Key Audit Matters in the independent auditor's report.

Abstract

Small and medium industries (SMIs) and medium-scale industries are sectors that contribute significantly to economic growth in the city of Surabaya. The development of the industrial sector can increase economic activities while also creating employment opportunities for the community. The distribution of industries in each area of Surabaya shows different characteristics influenced by accessibility, supporting facilities, and proximity to economic activity centers. This study aims to analyze the spatial distribution patterns of small and medium industries as well as medium-scale industries in Surabaya. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a Geographic Information System (GIS) approach. The research data were obtained from industrial location and quantity data based on districts. The results indicate that industrial distribution tends to be concentrated in areas with good transportation networks and high economic activity. In addition, several regions have a higher level of industrial concentration compared to other areas. Infrastructure and ease of access are the main supporting factors influencing industrial development in Surabaya. This study is expected to provide recommendations for the government in developing industrial areas and improving urban spatial planning more evenly.

Abstract

The manufacturing industry sector has an important role in supporting economic growth in Banyuwangi Regency. The increase in industrial activities contributes to employment opportunities, regional income growth, and the expansion of economic activities in urban and rural areas. Each region in Banyuwangi has different industrial development characteristics influenced by transportation accessibility, infrastructure availability, land conditions, and proximity to trade and distribution centers. This study aims to analyze the orientation strategy of the manufacturing industry in Banyuwangi Regency using a spatial approach based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The research method used is descriptive quantitative with spatial analysis. The results show that manufacturing industries tend to develop in areas with good transportation access and adequate infrastructure support. Industrial concentration is also dominant in regions close to economic activity centers and distribution routes. The development of manufacturing industries has positive impacts on regional economic growth, employment opportunities, and community income. However, industrial concentration in certain areas may create regional development inequality. Therefore, sustainable industrial planning is required to support balanced regional development in Banyuwangi Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to identify sales and distribution strategies to improve the competitiveness of Alam Flora Sejahtera's MSMEs. The research object focuses on MSMEs engaged in the sale of natural fertilizers, planting media, and plant equipment. This study used qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that Alam Flora Sejahtera's MSMEs have implemented a sales strategy that combines direct sales and sales through digital platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and Google. The use of digital media has been proven to increase consumer reach and business visibility. In addition, the distribution system is carried out directly to consumers so that product and service quality is better maintained. However, inconsistent digital promotion management, high shipping costs, and increasingly fierce business competition still hinder optimal business competitiveness. Therefore, a more integrated sales and distribution strategy is needed so that MSMEs can maintain their business sustainability.
