Abstract

The puerperium begins after the birth of the placenta and ends when the uterine uterus returns to normal. During this period, two important events happened, namely uterine involution and lactation. Uterine involution is very important to stop the hemorrhage. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors of early mobilization, Early Breastfeeding Initiation, Oxytocin Massage against uterine involution in puerperal women at Community Health Center of Solokan Jeruk. This study used a quasi-experimental approach —46 samples taken using inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data analyzed using the chi-square test with ɑ = 0.05. The study showed that there is a significant correlation between early mobilization (p-value =0.001), Early Breastfeeding Initiation (IMD) P (p-value= 0.032), and oxytocin massage (p-value= 0.006) against uterine involution in puerperal women at Puskesmas Solokan Jeruk. To Optimize the process, it needs adequate obstetrical care. Keywords: Early Mobilization, Early Breastfeeding Initiation, Oxytocin Massage, Uterine Involution

This study aims to analyze the effect of warm compress against low-back pain during the third trimester. This study conducted in Bungursari Community Health Center from May 2018 to February 2019. This study used a quasi-experiment with pre and post-test control group design. Sample taken used consecutive sampling and obtained 21 respondents of pregnant women in their third trimester. Collected data analyzed using paired t-test. The study results showed an influence on warm compressing in reducing low-back pain during pregnancy (p-value= 0.001). It can be concluded that pregnant women could be applied to warm compression when they had low-back pain.Keyword : low-back pain, pregnancy, warm compress

Abstract

Anemia increases the risk of maternal death during pregnancy, due to the low blood supply resulting in disruption of body cell function and resulting in premature labor. Based on Riskesdas in 2018, about 48.9% of pregnant women had anemia. Preterm labor was the leading cause of neonatal morbidity and mortality in the world. In 2018, Tegal Regency had 10% maternal death caused by anemia. There was a 5.4% mother with anemia and 5.2%, premature babies, in PKU Muhammadiyah Singkil. This study aimed to determine the correlation of anemia with premature labor at PKU Muhammadiyah Singkil. This study was a quantitative study used analytic method with a retrospective research design. This study was conducted in Islamic Hospital PKU Muhammadiyah Singkil using medical records of 70 pregnant women. The data were taken from August-October 2018. Collected data analyzed using bivariate analysis. The study finding shows that 54% of respondents suffered anemia, and 55.7% had preterm labor. The bivariate analysis shows a p-value = 0.0001, which means there is a significant correlation between anemia and preterm labor. There is 0.73 times more risk of incidence in preterm labor in pregnant women with anemia. Keywords: Anemia, Premature Labor

That why menstrual hygiene is important to suppress the occurrence of infection. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influencemenstrual hygiene practice in adolescents. A survey method conducted on 82 students from seven and eight grade using a purposive sampling technique. Collected data analyzed by using logistic regression. The results showed thatfactors related to menstrual hygiene practice were knowledge (p-value: 0.002) and family (p-value: 0.004), while unrelated factors were friend (p-value: 0.07) and media (p-value; 0.1) Based on the logistic regression test, the knowledge factor is the most influential (p-value; 0.006 and Exp (B): 4.07) It is recommended to do health promotion regarding menstrual hygiene practices through collaboration with health services. Key Words : Practice, Mestrual Hygiene, Adolescent

Abstract

Maternal deaths reflect the risks faced by mothers during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum were affected by maternal nutritional status, state of ill health during pregnancy, the incidence of various complications in pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. Moreover, the availability and use of healthcare facilities, including prenatal and obstetric services, were also very affecting. So it is necessary to minimize the occurrence of maternal deaths. The government had made various efforts to reduce maternal mortality, but the results were still not optimal yet. If maternal mortality could be prevented as early as possible with appropriate identification, it could significantly reduce maternal mortality. The research aims to analyze the cause of maternal death in Tasikmalaya city in 2015. The research design used a quantitative approach in the form of observation. The population was all maternal deaths in Tasikmalaya City Health department in 2015. The study's affordable population was all maternal mortality data with a precise address and recorded in the OVM as many as 20 cases of death. Factors associated with maternal mortality were the problem relating to patients, health professionals, health infrastructure, and referrals. Moreover recording and reporting of maternal mortality also influenced the determination of proper diagnosis to decrease the number of maternal mortality. Maternal mortality was a problem that has never finished with the complexity of the cause. It requires efforts that involve many parties, not only the health authorities alone, but all stakeholders were supported by government regulation. This study could be the basis for further research on maternal mortality and can be used to enhance the knowledge of researchers, health professionals, and stakeholders about the factors that cause maternal deaths. This study's results are expected to know the causes of maternal mortality and used as guidelines in making policy to reduce maternal mortality. Keywords: Maternal mortality, related factors

Abstract

There were 326.3 million cellphone users in Indonesia and an increase of about 2% in 2016. One application most used by people was short text messenger (SMS), it also can be used as a reminder from health facility to their patients such as drinking iron tablet. Anemia, in Indonesia, still a significant cause of maternal mortality. This study aims to determine SMS's effect as a reminder of consuming iron tablets to increase hemoglobin on pregnancy. This study was a quantitative study with a Quasi Experiment using pre and post-test group design with a control group without randomization. Sample in this study taken using total sampling and obtained 31 respondents. Collected data analyzed using t-test analysis. The findingof this studystatistically shows ap-value 0,0001, which means thatiron tablets increasehemoglobin levels in pregnant women with anemia. It is expected that health workers could utilize technology to help to educate and monitoring pregnant women's behavior in consuming the iron tablet. Keyword: SMS reminder, iron tablets, Hemoglobin

Abstract

Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (MMR) are indicators of a country's welfare. In 2018 there were 421 maternal mortality cases in central java. This number was a decrease compared to the mortality case in 2017, as many as 475 cases.  This study aimed to identify health conditions during pregnancy and the childbirth period of the patients of One Student One Client (OSOC) in Polytechnic Banjarnegara. A descriptive study conducted at Basic Emergency Neonatal Obstetric Services (PONED) in Banjarnegara District in March - April 2019 to 26 pregnant women. The results showed that most of the respondents classified the low-risk age group as 21 respondents (81%). There are 15  respondents (58%) classified to low-risk pregnancy distance category, 24 respondents (92%) are classified to normal gestational age category, and average birth weight category. It is recommended to ensure maternal health during pregnancy and childbirth is always well monitored. Ensuring mothers can access quality services in health services.
