Abstract

Addison's disease or chronic adrenal insufficiency is an autoimmune disease with endocrine disorders that occur due to a decrease in the ability of the adrenal cortex, causing the adrenal glands to fail to produce the hormones cortisol and aldosterone. This condition has an impact on the physical, psychological, and social abilities of patients. Therefore, patient knowledge about the disease, self-care management at home, and medications consumed are the main basis for improving health management at home. The research subjects were Addison's disease patients admitted to the inpatient ward of Utsman Bin Affan RSUD UOBK Welas Asih. This study used a problem-based nursing care management approach based on 3M (Man, Method, Material) and nursing intervention planning using the POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling) management function, with a focus on the implementation of discharge planning using the LIMA model for the readiness to improve patient health management. The results of the study showed an increase in the knowledge scores of patients and families from the pre-test and post-test results, indicating an increase in readiness for independent health management at home. Thus, the application of the LIMA model as an intervention from discharge planning can be an intervention that supports the improvement of health management readiness as a continuation of nursing care that has been provided in hospitals and has the potential to reduce the risk of patient rehospitalization

Abstract

This study examines the impact of practical politics on Civil Servants (ASN) in the 2020 Regional Head Election (Pilkada) in Fatumuti Village, Noemuti Subdistrict, North Central Timor Regency. The involvement of ASN in political contestation has become a critical issue as it affects bureaucratic neutrality, work professionalism, and the quality of public services. The background of this research highlights the shifting role of ASN, who are supposed to remain neutral, but are often drawn into the dynamics of practical politics due to pressure and the interests of political elites. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The informants consist of ASN who directly experienced the impact of practical politics during and after the election. The data were analyzed systematically through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing to provide an empirical picture of the situation in the field. The findings reveal that practical politics in the 2020 election resulted in two main patterns: revenge politics and reward politics. ASN perceived as being in opposition to the new authorities were often subject to job transfers, delayed promotions, or removal from strategic positions. Conversely, those who supported the winning candidates were rewarded with promotions or positions, not always based on competence. This situation created bureaucratic injustice and weakened the merit system principle. Another impact identified was the obstruction of career development, decreased work motivation, and a sense of insecurity among ASN. Practical politics also reduced the quality of public services, as appointments were no longer based on expertise but on political closeness. This not only harmed ASN individually but also disadvantaged the broader community, who are entitled to professional and quality public services. The study concludes that practical politics worsens local governance, undermines bureaucratic neutrality, and threatens the quality of local democracy. Therefore, it recommends strengthening regulations on ASN neutrality, consistent implementation of the merit system, and enhancing the understanding of public administration ethics. These measures are essential to rebuild a neutral, professional, and integrity-based bureaucracy oriented toward the public interest

Abstract

The development of the Sokoria Geothermal Power Plant (GPP) in Sokoria Village, East Ndona Subdistrict, Ende Regency is part of Indonesia’s national renewable energy policy. However, this project is not only shaped by technical and economic considerations but also strongly influenced by local socio-political dynamics, particularly the interest relations of local elites. This study aims to analyze the forms of local elite interest relations in the development of the Sokoria GPP, the political, economic, and social interests underlying their involvement, and the impacts on local communities. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation as data collection methods. Data analysis is conducted using C. Wright Mills’ elite theory. The findings reveal that local elites play a dominant role in the decision-making process of the Sokoria GPP development, acting as intermediaries between developers and communities while also controlling information flows and benefit distribution. These interest relations tend to be elitist rather than participatory, resulting in unequal benefit distribution and community resistance. This study concludes that the success of geothermal development depends not only on technical and policy aspects but also on inclusive, transparent, and just socio-political governance.

Abstract

Land boundary arrangement is a crucial issue in agrarian law because it is directly related to legal certainty of land ownership. In Serang Regency, land disputes still occur due to unclear boundaries, overlapping rights, and procedural obstacles. This study aims to analyze the legal basis for land boundary arrangement in Indonesia and Serang Regency, identify legal and procedural obstacles, and evaluate the role of clear land boundaries in enhancing legal certainty of land ownership. This research uses a qualitative normative legal research method with secondary data, including legal documents, regulations, agrarian law books, journal articles, and official documents from the Serang BPN. The findings show that the legal basis for land boundary arrangement is available through the Basic Agrarian Law (UUPA), Government Regulation No. 24 of 1997, Minister of ATR/BPN Regulations, regional regulations, and court decisions, yet its implementation faces legal, procedural, and cultural challenges. Clear land boundary arrangements can enhance legal certainty of ownership, prevent land disputes, and support transparency and accountability in land administration. The study recommends strengthening inter-agency coordination and integrating formal law with customary land rights to achieve effective legal certainty

Abstract

Postoperative wounds are at high risk for complications such as infection, wound dehiscence, and sepsis, particularly in patients with hypoalbuminemia that impairs tissue regeneration. This case report aims to evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care management based on education about wound care and nutrition in improving the knowledge of patients and families. Method: A descriptive case report approach was conducted on Mrs. S (32 years old) diagnosed with burst abdomen and hypoalbuminemia after open cholecystectomy in the Medical-Surgical Inpatient Unit of Hospital X. The intervention consisted of educational sessions using leaflet and video media based on Evidence-Based Practice (EBP), covering aseptic principles, wound care steps, signs of infection, and the importance of high-calorie high-protein (HCHP) nutrition. Evaluation was performed using pre-test and post-test assessments. Results: The patient’s knowledge score increased from 40 (pre-test) to 100 (post-test), while the family’s knowledge improved from 40 to 80. Analysis using the 3M approach (Man, Method, Material) indicated that educational effectiveness was supported by active involvement of nurses and family, interactive learning methods, and accessible educational media. Conclusion: Implementation of 3M-based nursing management through combined leaflet and video education proved effective in enhancing the knowledge, skills, and preparedness of patients and families in performing independent wound care at home

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is an essential aspect in the management of multi-storey buildings, particularly in emergency situations such as fires, earthquakes, or other hazardous events. One of the key elements in implementing OSH is the availability of safe, clear, and accessible evacuation routes for all building occupants. This Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) aims to analyze the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) evacuation routes in the Universitas Mpu Tantular building, which consists of eight floors, focusing on evacuation routes from the 1st to the 8th floor and from the 8th floor to the 1st floor. The method used in this activity was an observational and descriptive approach through direct field observations of evacuation routes, including emergency staircases, evacuation corridors, exit access, and evacuation signage. The results show that the Universitas Mpu Tantular building is equipped with evacuation routes that can be used during emergency conditions. However, several aspects still require improvement, such as the visibility and consistency of evacuation signage on each floor, potential obstacles along evacuation corridors, and the optimization of emergency lighting. This KKN activity contributes to increasing awareness and preparedness regarding Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) implementation through the evaluation of evacuation routes to enhance the safety of building occupants

Abstract

Interfaith marriage is a complex social and legal phenomenon in Indonesia's pluralistic society. In Islam , marriage is not just a social contract, but part of worship that must be in accordance with the provisions of the Sharia. This paper analyzes the Qur'anic verses related to the law of interfaith marriage, especially QS. Al-Baqarah [2]:221, QS. Al-Mumtahanah [60]:10, and QS. Al-Maidah [5]:5, through classical and contemporary tafsir approaches. This study shows that Islam strictly prohibits marriage between Muslims and polytheists because it has the potential to damage faith and household stability, but provides limited exceptions for Muslim men to marry women of the Book under certain conditions. The different interpretations of scholars such as Imam Syafi'i, Ibn Kathir, Ibn Hazm, and Abu Hanifah reflect the dynamics of fiqh in understanding the social and theological context of each era. In the context of Indonesian positive law, through Law Number 1 of 1974 and the Compilation of Islamic Law (Presidential Instruction No. 1 of 1991), the state emphasizes that interfaith marriages are not valid according to Islamic law. Thus, the discussion of the interpretation of these legal verses provides a theological and normative basis that the sanctity of faith is the main foundation in the formation of an Islamic family in Indonesia.

Abstract

Kratom leaves (Mitragyna speciosa) are traditionally used as a natural remedy and are known to contain various secondary metabolites with antioxidant potential. This study aimed to activate the antioxidant activity of the aqueous fraction of kratom leaves in vitro. Kratom leaves were extracted using methanol, then liquid-liquid fractionation was performed to obtain the air fraction. Phytochemical screening was performed qualitatively, while antioxidant activity was evaluated using the DPPH, ABTS, and FRAP methods. The phytochemical screening results showed that the air fraction contained alkaloids, phenolic compounds, tannins, quinones, saponins, and steroids/terpenoids, but no flavonoids were detected. Antioxidant activity tests showed that the air fraction exhibited strong antioxidant activity in the DPPH and ABTS methods, with IC₅₀ values of 66.69 ppm and 79.99 ppm, respectively, while the FRAP method showed moderate activity with an IC₅₀ value of 210.88 ppm. The difference in activity between the methods indicates that the air fraction is more effective as a free radical scavenger than as a reducing agent. Based on these results, the air fraction of kratom leaves has potential as a natural antioxidant source. However, further research is needed to identify specific active compounds and to assess biological activity in vivo.

Abstract

the integration of Tekla structural models with plant design platforms such as AVEVA E3D and Intergraph Smart 3D (SP3D), along with model federation in Autodesk Navisworks, is employed to facilitate clash detection, staged 30–60–90% model reviews, and multidisciplinary decision‑making. The study adopts a descriptive research design using a literature review approach, complemented by the author’s reflective experience as a civil–structural Tekla Designer during the DED phase, to formulate a conceptual BIM integration model within the framework of a Common Data Environment (CDE), ISO 19650 standards, and Level of Development (LOD). The findings suggest that consistent LOD definition, robust information governance in the CDE, disciplined management of clash tests in Navisworks, and a structured 30–60–90% model review scheme are critical in improving multidisciplinary coordination and reducing rework during DED. The proposed conceptual model is expected to provide an initial reference for practitioners and academics in designing BIM‑based workflows for Tekla–E3D/SP3D–Navisworks integration in EPC oil and gas projects.

Abstract

Design–construction conflicts are one of the major challenges in toll road construction projects, which often lead to delays, cost overruns, and reduced construction quality. These conflicts are commonly caused by inconsistencies in technical drawings, insufficient multidisciplinary coordination, and limitations in technical communication between planning and implementation teams. This study aims to analyze the integration of multidisciplinary technical drawings and the optimization of Computer Aided Design (CAD) usage as an effort to prevent construction design conflicts in toll road projects. The research method employs a structured literature review and descriptive analysis of planning and construction practices commonly applied in toll road projects in Indonesia. The results indicate that effective integration of technical drawings, supported by standardized CAD practices such as layer management, drawing coordination, and systematic design revisions, can significantly improve coordination effectiveness and reduce the potential for design conflicts during construction. The study concludes that CAD-based multidisciplinary drawing integration represents a practical, realistic, and applicable approach for large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in contexts where full implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) has not yet been fully adopted.
