Abstract

This study aims to develop a Discipline Control Book Based on Islamic Character Values for elementary school students and to describe the feasibility and practicality of the resulting product. The study was motivated by the fact that violations of school rules are still found even though the applicable rules already include indicators of discipline. The research used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis (analysis of needs, student characteristics, and indicators of discipline and Islamic character values), design (designing the book format, indicators, and monitoring rubrics), development (product development and expert validation), implementation (limited testing of the control book), and evaluation (product evaluation and revision). Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The developed product contains discipline indicators integrated with Islamic character values, such as trustworthiness, responsibility, consistency, obedience to rules, and manners, accompanied by a monitoring column involving teachers and parents to reinforce student discipline habits. The results of the development show that the control book produced was deemed feasible by the validators and practical for use in school activities, thus having the potential to become a supporting medium for fostering discipline among elementary school students based on Islamic character.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the relevance of using the PAKEMATIC model and AudioVisual media for Islamic jurisprudence learning for the alpha generation. The research method uses a literature study. The results of the study showed that the application of PAKEMATIC in Islamic jurisprudence learning not only improves the quality of learning but also encourages students to understand and apply Islamic values relevantly in everyday life. With an active, creative, effective, fun, and technology-based approach, Islamic jurisprudence learning can be more interesting and meaningful for today's digital generation. The use of audio visual media in Islamic jurisprudence learning provides a great opportunity to increase student understanding, interest, and participation. With the combination of audio and visuals, abstract or procedural Islamic jurisprudence concepts can be explained more easily and interestingly. Educators must design the right strategy to utilize this media effectively, so that learning objectives can be achieved optimally. It is hoped that by using the PAKEMATIC model and audio visual media in Islamic jurisprudence learning for the alpha generation, it can accelerate the understanding of the material presented.

Abstract

The purpose of learning the Quran and Hadith in Madrasah Aliyah is to build students' religious understanding and learning motivation. One method that is still widely used is the lecture method, although it is often seen as a conventional method that can potentially make students passive. However, in practice, the lecture method is still maintained because it is considered effective for conveying conceptual material and a wide range of topics.Previous research generally highlights the weaknesses of the lecture method in learning. In fact, the lecture method, when applied flexibly and combined with other methods, has the potential to remain relevant, particularly in the study of the Quran and Hadith at Madrasah Aliyah (Islamic Senior High School). Research on the application of the contextual lecture method and its relationship to student learning motivation is still relatively limited. Based on these conditions, this study aims to analyze students' learning motivation in Al-Qur'an Hadith lessons using the lecture method, which is applied flexibly at MAN 2 Bukittinggi. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and literature review. The research results are expected to provide an empirical overview of the relevance of the lecture method in increasing students' learning motivation

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of implementing collaborative learning methods in improving students’ understanding of the Al-Qur’an Hadith subject at MAN 2 Bukittinggi. The study is motivated by the low level of student engagement in conventional, teacher-centered learning, which limits active student participation. In line with the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka, which emphasizes collaboration, meaningful learning, and project-based activities, a more interactive and contextual learning approach is required. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with three Al-Qur’an Hadith teachers who had implemented collaborative learning for at least one semester, supported by classroom observations and analysis of lesson plan documents. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data display, and verification through source triangulation. The study was conducted from May to June 2025. The findings indicate that collaborative learning is effective in increasing student engagement, improving understanding of Qur’anic verses, and enhancing contextual interpretation analysis skills. In addition, this method fosters socio-religious values such as cooperation, responsibility, and tolerance for differing opinions, making it relevant for Al-Qur’an Hadith learning in the digital era.
