Abstract

Sex education for children should be introduced from an early age, particularly in Early Childhood Education Institutions (PAUD), to help shape a child's identity into one that is confident, independent, and responsible. Through the song I Take Care of Myself, children can more easily grasp lessons on sexuality in a fun and supportive environment. This study aims to explore identity formation through sex education for children aged 5-6 at PAUD Kidang Kencana using the method of singing the song I Protect Myself. Knowledge about sexuality must be taught to children from a young age. Motivated by the issue of children's limited understanding of sexual topics, the researcher conducted this study to foster self-identity through sex education. This research employs a qualitative method, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, document analysis, and triangulation. The findings reveal the following: (1) The implementation of the song-singing method (I Take Care of Myself) in shaping identity through sex education for 5-6-year-olds at PAUD Kidang Kencana is closely tied to the Daily Lesson Plan (RPPH). The sex education planning outlined in the RPPH includes learning steps and time allocation. (2) Initially, the singing method was conducted merely as a singing activity without deeper explanation or structured learning. (3) The evaluation of the singing method measures developmental progress and follow-up actions, which are reported to parents during end-of-theme meetings. The positive impact of this method includes improved child development outcomes based on set indicators. Supporting factors in this study include parental upbringing and learning media. Meanwhile, obstacles in applying this method include children with learning delays and parents who do not participate in parenting activities.

Abstract

Language skills are an important aspect in early childhood development because they are the basis for communication and thinking. This study aims to determine the implementation of the storytelling method in improving the language skills of group B children at RA Tarbiyatusshibyan Cikondang Bojongpicung Cianjur. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The research subjects were 20 children aged 5–6 years. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, testing, and documentation. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), which means there is a significant difference in children's language skills before and after the implementation of the storytelling method. Thus, the storytelling method is effective in improving the language skills of early childhood.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of wadi’ah yad amanah contract in the management of santri savings at Pondok Pesantren Al-Ittihad Cianjur. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation study, and analyzed interactively following the Miles and Huberman model: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings reveal that the implementation of wadi’ah yad amanah in santri savings has been carried out well and systematically, adhering to sharia principles, ensuring the security of deposited funds, and fostering trust among santri. Internal support from the pesantren management and the trust of santri parents contribute to the sustainability of the program, while the main challenges involve understanding of the akad among santri and technical administration. The research concludes that the practice of wadi’ah yad amanah in santri savings is effective in promoting the values of trustworthiness, honesty, and financial discipline within the pesantren environment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the multisensory method on early childhood students’ ability to memorize hijaiyah letters and to compare its effectiveness with conventional teaching methods. The study was limited to children in groups B1 and B2 at RA Al Istiqomah Ciranjang. A quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental design and a Nonequivalent Control Group Design was employed. The subjects consisted of 13 children in the experimental group and 19 children in the control group. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test assessments, observations, interviews, and documentation. The multisensory method was applied over five sessions, engaging multiple senses through activities such as letter cards, synthetic sand, songs, games, and writing exercises. The results indicated a significant improvement in the experimental group’s ability to memorize hijaiyah letters, with average scores increasing from 28.71 to 67.94 (Sig. < 0.001), while the control group showed a slight increase from 42.10 to 44.73. ANCOVA analysis confirmed a significant difference between the two groups (Sig. < 0.001) with a large effect size (Partial Eta Squared = 0.684). The study concludes that the multisensory method is effective and suitable for early childhood hijaiyah letter learning.

Abstract

The ability to recognize letters is an important foundation in the process of learning to read for early childhood. However, there are still children who experience difficulties in recognizing letters due to a lack of interesting learning media. This study aims to describe the application of rotating letter blocks as a learning medium and its impact on the ability to recognize letters among 5–6-year-old children at Al-Hidayah Early Childhood Education Center. The research method employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects are 12 children from Group B. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that this medium can enhance children's interest and understanding in recognizing letters through active and enjoyable learning. Some challenges that arose, such as tool damage and insufficient parental support, were successfully addressed with strategic solutions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of interactive thematic classroom displays on the ability of 45-year-old children to recognize number symbols 1-10 at PAUD El-Mahya Sukaluyu Cianjur. The problem stems from children's difficulty in recognizing number symbols, which is caused by passive teaching methods and a lack of interactive media. The research used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design, involving 10 children from group A. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis included descriptive and inferential statistics (normality test, t-test, and simple linear regression). The results showed that the implementation of the interactive thematic classroom display was in the Very Good category (80.42%). There was a significant improvement in the children's ability to recognize number symbols 1-10, with the average pretest score increasing from 12.8 (Developing as Expected) to 16.4 (Developing Very Well) in the posttest. The interactive thematic display also had a significant positive effect on the children's ability to recognize number symbols. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.661, indicating that 66.1% of the variation in number symbol recognition ability can be explained by this variable.
