Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy for developing the educational brand of the Fatmawati Elderly School in South Jakarta through the Hexa Helix Model approach, which is integrated with persuasive communication and Word of Mouth (WOM). This model emphasizes collaboration between six key actors, namely the government, academics, the business world, the community, the media, and the elderly, in creating social innovation in the field of non-formal education. A descriptive qualitative approach was used to understand how the synergy between these actors contributes to strengthening the image of the Elderly School as an inclusive, participatory, and sustainable educational institution. The results show that persuasive communication plays an important role in instilling the values of independence, health, and happiness in the elderly, while WOM is an effective means of spreading information naturally through the positive experiences of participants. The integration of the two within the Hexa Helix framework has succeeded in forming a social communication ecosystem that encourages community participation and strengthens the reputation of the Fatmawati Elderly School as a model for empowering the elderly towards an active ageing society.

Abstract

This study examines everyday conversational practices among Gorontalonese speakers through the perspective of Conversation Analysis as a branch of discourse analysis. The research focuses on how social interaction is organized in natural talk, particularly in terms of turn-taking, adjacency pairs, and overlap. The data were collected through field research by recording spontaneous conversations among Gorontalo community members in various informal settings, complemented by library research to support theoretical grounding. The findings reveal that Gorontalonese conversations are characterized by flexible turn-taking mechanisms, frequent self-selection, and extensive use of cooperative overlap. Adjacency pairs such as question–answer, offer–rejection, and information–acknowledgement appear consistently, although they are often delayed or embedded within insertion sequences. In addition, back-channel signals and choral repetition are commonly used to express attentiveness, agreement, and social solidarity. These interactional features reflect the cultural norms of familiarity, closeness, and mutual engagement within the Gorontalo community. The study concludes that conversation among Gorontalonese speakers functions not only as a means of exchanging information but also as a social practice that reinforces interpersonal relationships and communal cohesion.

Abstract

Logo changes in public institutions are not only related to aesthetic aspects but also carry strategic meanings, cultural identity, and organizational representation. This study aims to analyze employee perceptions of the new logo of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) and examine the role of visual identity as a representation of organizational identity. The research employed a mixed-methods approach with data collection through questionnaires (N=104) and in-depth interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed using reliability tests, descriptive statistics, normality tests, Pearson correlation, and ANOVA with the help of SPSS, while qualitative data were analyzed thematically. The results indicated that the research instrument was reliable (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.934), employees' perceptions of the new logo were generally positive (X mean = 24.19; Y mean = 28.85), and there was a very strong positive correlation between visual identity perceptions and organizational identity representation (r = 0.750; p < 0.001). The ANOVA analysis also revealed significant differences across respondent groups (F = 7.838; p < 0.001). Qualitative findings emphasize that the logo change was driven by rebranding needs, visual continuity from the previous logo, and the demands of creative economic globalization. This study concludes that the new Kemenparekraf logo serves as a strategic visual instrument that not only builds organizational image but also strengthens internal organizational support.

Abstract

The development of science and technology in the contemporary era has brought significant convenience to human life, yet it has also triggered a spiritual crisis marked by weakening moral values, growing materialism, and psychological anxiety. The dominance of rationalism distances individuals from the transcendental dimension, leading to a loss of life’s deeper meaning. This situation highlights the urgency of a spiritual approach capable of balancing intellectual advancement with inner fulfillment. This study explores the spiritual values in Al-Futūḥāt Al-Makkiyyah by Ibn ‘Arabi as a response to the spiritual challenges of modern society. The objectives are: (1) to analyze the concept of spiritual values in the work; (2) to examine the social settings influencing Ibn ‘Arabi’s thought; and (3) to investigate the transformation of these values in contemporary life. The research employs a qualitative approach using a character study through library research. Data are collected through symbolic and semantic reading and analyzed using Margrit Schreier’s theory. The findings reveal key spiritual concepts: Wahdat al-Wujud, Insan Kamil, and al-Hubb al-Ilahi. Influencing social factors include class, social roles, cultural norms, religiosity, and political-economic conditions. In modern life, these values transform into moral formation, spiritual awareness, meaningful living, and harmonious relationships between humans, nature, and God
