Abstract

This research proposes to investigate the intellectual growth and research trends of attention economy studies on fan culture scholarship from 2010 to 2025 using a bibliometric method. The study uses performance analysis and science mapping methods to analyze the research publications in the field of fan culture scholarship, focusing on keyword co-occurrence analysis, overlay visualization, density mapping, co-authorship network analysis, and citation analysis. The results show that the research environment has grown from the initial discussion on cultural identity, participatory media, and globalization to more interdisciplinary approaches that combine sustainability, economics, and organizational strategy. The results show that the dominant conceptual foundations are keywords such as sustainable development, sustainability, economics, and culture, while the recent research trends on circular economy, knowledge management, and organizational culture show a new direction towards strategic and sustainable research. Collaboration analysis shows that the research environment is globally networked and dominated by China and the United States, with a growing presence of Europe and Asia-Pacific countries. Overall, the study shows that the transformation of fan culture in the attention economy has become a multidimensional research field that links cultural engagement with economic value creation, sustainability discourse, and global collaborative innovation.

Abstract

Financial literacy in households has emerged as a significant area of research study in recent years, as it has been recognized as a factor that influences financial behavior, inclusion, and socioeconomic welfare. This study proposes to identify the intellectual structure, thematic development, and collaboration trends of research studies on financial literacy in Indonesian households from 2010 to 2025 through a quantitative bibliometric analysis. The data for this study was sourced from the Scopus database and analyzed through the VOSviewer software for co-authorship analysis, citation analysis, keyword co-occurrence analysis, and thematic analysis. The results of this study show that financial literacy is a core theme of research, which is closely linked to household finance, financial education, financial inclusion, and socioeconomic aspects. The co-authorship analysis shows that there is a growing but moderately fragmented collaboration pattern, which is dominated by a few prominent authors, institutions, and countries, especially the United States and prominent international research institutions. Overlay and density analysis clearly shows that there is a significant shift in the themes from conventional financial education and individual financial behavior to more interdisciplinary themes such as digital finance, public health, poverty, and household resilience.

Abstract

The study evaluates the impact of billboard political campaigns on voting behavior in Nigeria, especially during 2019 governorship election in Ekiti State. The study seeks to understand how visual political advertisement influences voters/perceptions, decision-making process, and electoral choice. The study analyses primary data against the background of the objective. Evidences available indicate that billboard advertising significantly shaped voters’ awareness and attitudes towards candidates, serving as a major source of political information and make reinforcement, also that strategic placement, message clarity and visual appeal of billboards positively influenced voter recall and candidate preference. It was equally revealed in the study that excessive commercialization of billboard space and message repetition sometimes led to voter apathy and skepticism, it was concluded in the study that billboard campaigns remain an effective and viable medium of political communication, especially in urban and semi-urban areas, where visibility and accessibility enhance message impact. Therefore, the study recommends that political actors adopt ethical and assure-based billboard messaging focused on policy substance rather than personality, glorification. Lastly, INEC and other regulatory agencies are urged to monitor outdoor political advertising to ensure compliance with campaign guidelines.

Abstract

The accelerated development of digital media has led to a paradigm shift in environmental activism, moving from offline mobilization efforts to digital media engagement. The objective of this study is to investigate the thematic development of online environmental activism from 2013 to 2025 using a thematic cluster analysis approach. By employing bibliometric methods and keyword co-occurrence analysis, this research study identifies the major themes, determines the structural relationships between research topics, and analyzes the temporal trends in the research landscape. The results show that social media and activism serve as major hubs that connect sustainability discourse, digital communication, and civic engagement. The network visualization shows a strongly interconnected thematic structure, while the overlay analysis shows a transition from the early days of internet-based activism to the current themes of sustainability governance, environmental communication, and digital citizenship. The density visualization also emphasizes the focus of research on digitally mediated activism, suggesting continuity in the fundamental research interests, as well as the development of new interdisciplinary research perspectives. This research study adds to the body of knowledge on the development of environmental activism in digital environments and offers insights into future research directions on participatory governance, communication, and digitally facilitated environmental activism.

Abstract

The phenomenon of mental health, especially among the younger generation, is characterized by many modern people experiencing emotional disorders, high rates of anxiety, depression, and so on, triggered by exposure to social media, economic uncertainty, and environmental pressures. The Qur'an, as a source of law, also serves as a guide for Muslims in overcoming life's problems, including mental health. This study aims to: 1) Describe the concept of mental health in al-Munir's interpretation, 2) Describe efforts to manifest mental health in al-Munir's interpretation, 3) Determine the relevance of mental health applications in al-Munir's interpretation and contemporary anxieties of modern society. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature review type of research. The research data sources were obtained from various primary and secondary data sources, namely books, literature, reports, and other documentation materials that are relevant to the research. The results of the study show that 1) The concept of mental health contained in al-Munir's interpretation includes behaviors and attitudes that are ingrained in a person's mind, which are manifested in the form of happiness, calm, and peace of mind, 2) Efforts to manifest mental health in the interpretation of al-Munir can be realized through patience when overcoming life's difficulties, happiness, calm and relaxation, as well as healing the soul, 3). The applicable relevance of mental health in the interpretation of al-Munir and contemporary anxiety of modern society can be imprinted from mental health problems which include anxiety disorders, stress, depression and so on which have occurred a lot and cannot be considered trivial, this matter requires an approach to Allah SWT so that it can achieve ketuma'ninahan in life.

Abstract

The accelerating digitalization of global economic activity has created a complex ethical landscape, presenting simultaneous challenges in consumer behavior and labor welfare. This article addresses two distinct yet interlinked crises emerging within this digital sphere: doom spending, defined as impulsive, stress-induced consumption resulting in financial and psychological distress, and gig worker precarity, characterized by job insecurity, income volatility, and potentially exploitative algorithmic control within platform economies. Existing scholarship often analyzes these issues separately, utilizing either psychological or secular economic frameworks. This research bridges this gap by employing the holistic ethical framework of Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah (the objectives of Islamic law) to provide a unified analysis. This framework mandates the protection of five core necessities (al-kulliyyāt al-khams): religion (dīn), life/self (nafs), intellect (‘aql), lineage/dignity (nasl/’ird), and property/wealth (māl). Findings synthesized from psychological, economic, and Islamic ethics literature demonstrate that doom spending inherently violates ḥifẓ al-māl through extravagance (isrāf/tabdhīr) and ḥifẓ al-nafs by exacerbating mental distress. Simultaneously, algorithmic management in the gig economy conflicts with Maqāṣid principles by undermining worker dignity (ḥifẓ al-‘ird), threatening safety (ḥifẓ al-nafs) through high-risk incentives, and denying fair, transparent compensation (ḥifẓ al-māl). The study proposes that a Maqāṣid-informed governance model is essential for regulating the digital economy. Recommended interventions include promoting faith-informed virtues like moderation (wasatiyyah) and contentment (qana’ah) to combat consumerism, and implementing Sharia-compliant social protection instruments (e.g., specialized takaful schemes) and algorithmic transparency mechanisms to safeguard gig worker financial stability and ethical dignity. Ultimately, the integration of Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah offers a rigorous ethical compass, ensuring that digital economic activity promotes genuine well-being (al-falāḥ) and comprehensive social justice.

Abstract

This article examines the entanglement of ritual practice, globalization, and indigenous ecological ethics through the unique case of Christmas tree performances in Tanimbar Island, Eastern Indonesia. While the Christmas tree originates as a European Christian cultural invention, its arrival in Tanimbar—mediated by Dutch missionaries—generates a radically different mode of ritualization and ecological engagement. Drawing on autoethnographic fieldwork, this study identifies three key dynamics: (1) the Christianization and emotionalization of the Christmas tree as a liturgical symbol; (2) the community’s deliberate rejection of industrial and plastic Christmas trees associated with global markets; and (3) the use of mangrove trees (Tongke) as Christmas trees framed within local cosmology, SASI customary law, and oceanic ecological ethics. The findings demonstrate that Tanimbar communities situate Christmas not merely as a religious ritual but as a negotiation of identity, ecological stewardship, and resistance to global debates on religion, ecology, and indigenous knowledge by demonstrating how Christian rituals are reindigenized, ocean-centered, and ecologically restorative.
