Abstract

This study explores the complex connections between Indonesian adolescent emotional wellbeing, social support, self-perception, and parenting style. Using a mixed-approaches strategy, 350 adolescents between the ages of 13 and 18 were randomly selected and then subjected to both quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. The quantitative results showed a strong correlation between more emotional well-being and authoritative parenting. Higher levels of self-perception—including self-efficacy and self-esteem—were associated with better emotional results. Robust family support was found to be a significant predictor of improved emotional well-being, and supportive peers and schools were also found to be beneficial. Depth was given by qualitative insights, which disentangled the complex experiences of parenting philosophies, self-perception, and social support. The amalgamation of both quantitative and qualitative findings provides a thorough comprehension of the elements influencing the psychological welfare of teenagers in Indonesia. There is discussion of the implications for interventions and policies aimed at promoting mental health in this population.

Abstract

This study looks into the intricate relationships that exist between language attitudes, language choices, and bilingualism in a West Javan university. There are 250 participants in the study, who are a varied cross-section of the academic community. Analysis of demographic data shows that the distribution is equal for both genders and age groups. The prevalence of Bahasa Indonesia, Sundanese, Javanese, other regional languages, and English is shown via linguistic background investigation, demonstrating the linguistic diversity present in the university community. The survey also explores academic levels, with undergraduate students making up the majority of participants. Results of the poll show that a significant portion of individuals were multilingual, speaking two or more languages. Sundanese & Bahasa Indonesia, Javanese & English, and Bahasa Indonesia & English are common language partnerships. Language attitudes that are positive toward multilingualism and native languages vary depending on one's linguistic background. Language preferences for Bahasa Indonesia and English are evident in both formal and casual contexts. Significant connections between bilingualism, linguistic attitudes, and linguistic preferences are revealed by correlation analysis.

Abstract

In Jakarta, Indonesia, this study explores the complex interrelationships among social capital, cultural diversity, and community resilience. Participants from a varied sample of 500 people, spanning a range of socioeconomic classes, and nationalities, shared their perspectives on social capital, cultural diversity, and community resilience. The results show a culturally diversified and affluent community where people feel they have strong social ties and are resilient. Indicators of community resilience, social capital, and cultural variety all show favorable connections according to statistical analysis. Regression analyses highlight the important roles that cultural variety, social capital that bonds, bridges, and links, and environmental, social, and economic resilience play in enhancing the overall resilience of Jakarta's communities. The sample's diversity in terms of demographics improves the findings' external validity. This research offers significant perspectives for practitioners and policymakers that aim to promote resilience in urban environments with various cultural backgrounds.

Abstract

In Yogyakarta, Indonesia, this study examines the complex interactions that exist between coping strategies, social support networks, and mental health outcomes in people with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The study uses regression and correlation analysis on a broad sample to determine the links between coping techniques, perceived social support, and the severity of PTSD symptoms. In line with previous research, the results emphasize the protective value of emotional support and proactive social support-seeking. But the surprising positive relationship that was found between avoidance and the severity of symptoms presents a fresh angle that calls for more research on the cultural dynamics of coping strategies. This study establishes the foundation for further research on PTSD in the particular sociocultural environment of Yogyakarta and offers subtle insights for customized therapies.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of health education and healthcare access on the quality of life and well-being of the elderly in Indonesia through a quantitative analysis. A diverse sample of 175 elderly participants was surveyed, capturing demographic information, health education engagement, healthcare accessibility, and subjective well-being assessments. The research employed Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to analyze the complex relationships between the variables. The results revealed significant positive associations between health education, healthcare access, and both quality of life and well-being among the elderly. The study contributes valuable insights for policymakers, healthcare providers, and educators to design targeted interventions to enhance the overall well-being of the elderly in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study examines the complex relationships between interpersonal relationship quality (IRQ) and life satisfaction (LS) among people in Indonesia, with a focus on the roles played by emotional intelligence (EI) and effective communication (EC). Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was used as a quantitative method to examine the associations between the variables in a sample of 210 people. The findings show strong and favorable correlations: EC and EI have a positive impact on LS and IRQ. A number of fit indices indicate the structural model's satisfactory fit, and the blindfolding test confirms the model's predictive ability. The results indicate that, in the Indonesian setting, developing emotional intelligence and effective communication skills may lead to improved interpersonal connections and a higher quality of life.

Abstract

This research investigates the intricate relationships among personality traits, job characteristics, work motivation, and job performance within the context of the Indonesian hospitality industry. Utilizing a sample of 220 participants, a robust structural equation model was developed and tested. The model demonstrated excellent fit indices, reinforcing its effectiveness in capturing the complexities of the variables under scrutiny. Hypothesis testing revealed significant positive relationships between job characteristics and both job performance and work motivation, as well as between personality traits and job performance and work motivation. The model's high explanatory power (R²) and predictive relevance (Q²) underscore its utility in understanding and forecasting outcomes in the studied industry. The findings offer valuable insights for organizational practitioners aiming to optimize employee performance and motivation in the dynamic landscape of the Indonesian hospitality sector.
