Abstract

This report discusses internship activities carried out at PT Regynet Data Solusindo, an internet service provider company based on fiber optic (Fiber to the Home/FTTH). The purpose of this internship is to apply the knowledge that has been obtained during lectures in the Informatics Engineering study program, especially in the field of computer networks. Students are directly involved in the process of installation, optimization, and troubleshooting of customer internet networks. The implementation methods used include observation, interviews, documentation studies, and direct participation. In practice, students learn to use various network devices such as ONT, ODP, OPM, and OTDR, and understand the technical flow from installation to activation of internet services. In addition to the technical aspects, this activity also provides an understanding of the importance of professional ethics and professionalism in the field. The results of this internship activity show that direct involvement in the world of work can strengthen students' understanding of the theories learned in class while increasing their readiness to face the industrial world.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus can lead to various complications, including peripheral circulation disorders indicated by a decrease in the Ankle Brachial Index (ABI), which may result in amputation. Data from Lingga Public Health Center in 2023 recorded approximately 186 people with diabetes, with an increasing trend each year. Prevention of diabetic foot complications can be achieved through education and simple physical activities such as diabetic foot exercises. This community service aimed to improve diabetic patients’ understanding of ABI reduction through diabetic foot exercises in Lingga Village. The methods included education, exercise training, ABI examination, and evaluation of understanding and implementation. The results showed an 85% increase in participants’ understanding of ABI examination and diabetic foot exercises. In conclusion, there was an improvement in patients’ knowledge, which is expected to serve as a promotive and preventive effort to reduce the risk of diabetic foot complications.

Abstract

The community service program in this Real Work Lecture program aims to revitalize the ablution area at An Nurillah Integrated Islamic Elementary School located in Karang Anyar Village, Beringin District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. The previous condition of the ablution area was unsuitable for use due to clogged drains, inadequate floors, and damaged sanitation facilities, which hampered the smooth ablution activities of students and teachers before worship. The implementation of this community service activity went through several stages starting from an initial condition survey, redesign planning, material procurement, and renovation. The renovation included the installation of 10 water taps at the front and back, the installation of ceramics on the walls and floors, painting, and the finishing process so that the ablution area is clean, safe, and comfortable to use. This revitalization is very important to support the implementation of worship for students and all school residents at An Nurillah Integrated Islamic Elementary School, in Karang Anyar Village, Beringin District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, which makes morals and Islamic teachings the main foundation of education. In addition to improving physical facilities, this program also provides an educational impact to students regarding the importance of maintaining and preserving public facilities to ensure their continued cleanliness. The success of this community service program is a concrete example of the synergy between students as implementers of the community service program and the school community in creating an environment that supports spiritual activities and school cleanliness. With the presence of a revitalized ablution area, it is hoped that a more conducive school environment will be created to support worship discipline and increase awareness of environmental cleanliness. The sustainability of this program can be continuously encouraged with the active participation of the school community in maintaining the facility for long-term use. This program can also be used as a model for managingNurillah Integrated Islamic Elementary School, in Karang Anyar Village, Beringin District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, and provided real experience for students in implementing community service in a professional and structured manner

Abstract

This community service program aims to empower the people of Mangunsari Village, Gunungpati District, Semarang City through purple sweet potato-based donut innovation. The main problem is the low added value of purple sweet potatoes, which are only sold raw, and limited knowledge of processed product diversification. The implementation method included training in donut making, packaging, branding, and marketing management for 25 participants. Results showed a significant increase in participant knowledge from 38% to 87%, with 92% of participants able to produce high-quality donuts. The optimal formulation using a 37.5% substitution of purple sweet potato puree resulted in an organoleptic acceptance level of 84-88%. Value-added analysis showed a 1,025% increase in economic value with a profit margin of 260%. The "Sate Donat Mini 17" business group was formed, with 48% of participants actively producing, generating additional income of IDR 1.8-3.5 million per month. The program has had a positive impact on community economic empowerment and increasing the added value of local commodities. Abstract

Anemia remains a global public health problem and continues to pose a significant burden in many developing countries. Several national and regional studies have reported that the prevalence of anemia among adolescent girls ranges from 14% to 50%, depending on location and survey methods, with many studies showing rates exceeding 30% in certain populations. Female students (santriwati) living in Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) are particularly vulnerable to anemia. Common contributing factors include inadequate iron intake, irregular communal eating practices, limited nutritional knowledge, excessive menstrual bleeding, and restricted access to health services. The implementation of the community engagement program consisted of three main stages: (1) Socialization and initial hemoglobin (Hb) screening to obtain a preliminary overview of anemia status; (2) Health education and interactive discussions delivered through lectures, question-and-answer sessions, and educational video presentations; and (3) Evaluation and post-activity monitoring through joint reflections involving both the boarding school administrators and the participants. The combination of Hb screening, interactive counseling sessions, leaflet-based educational media, and institutional support from the boarding schools proved effective in creating a conducive environment for promoting healthy behaviors. However, challenges such as limited availability of Hb testing equipment and negative perceptions toward iron supplementation still need to be addressed through continuous approaches and cross-sectoral collaboration.
