Abstract

The application of Geographic Information Systems (SIG) has become an important tool in combating the risk of flood disasters in many areas, including Demak City. This research aims to explore and evaluate the possible benefits of implementing SIG to reduce the danger of flooding in Demak City. The study approaches used include stakeholder interviews, field surveys, and geographic data analysis. The research results show how useful SIG is for creating early warning systems, identifying air flow patterns, and mapping areas vulnerable to flooding. The use of SIG also enables improved coordination of flood mitigation and management among various interconnected entities. This study makes a significant contribution to our understanding of the function of geospatial information technology in disaster management and provides useful insights for stakeholders to create more effective methods for mitigating flood hazards in Demak City.

Abstract

Coagulation is one of the processes of water treatment by the addition of chemicals, the purpose of which is to bind particles like particles or dissolve so that they clump. Coagulation concentration definitely affects the coagulation process carried out. In addition, the addition of coagulation also affects the water produced for distribution. Testing of the impact of coagulant concentrations on raw water treatment processes has been carried out on the PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya. The use of laboratory testing methods is done to see the water quality when using different coagulants. The results of the analysis obtained that the difference in the concentration of coagulants has an influence on the process of water treatment, this is due to several factors that support the existence of variation in the use of the coagulation concentration.

Abstract

Working on a project requires careful planning, so that it can be carried out with optimal time and cost. However, in practice, the implementation of project work usually encounters obstacles that cause schedule delays which result in cost overruns. Therefore, to determine the accuracy of the implementation of a project, routine evaluation and analysis is carried out with the aim of knowing how the progress of a project is progressing. In this research, the Earned Value Analysis method is used to examine trends in schedule variance and cost variance in a period (time) during the project. Based on the calculations and analysis carried out, it can be concluded that there were no delays in the implementation of the Kapal X construction project at X company, the work was carried out according to the predetermined schedule, even faster than the previously planned schedule. Based on the results of the analysis of project completion projections in terms of time, the results for the projected remaining work time (ETS) were 268 days and for the projected total project completion time to completion (EAS) it was 594 days or 306 days faster than the initial plan of 900 days.

This paper aims to find out the process of managing export and import documents by PT Adhigana Pratama Mulya Belawan branch, the process starts from before the arrival of the ship to the port of Belawan, the agent has prepared the documents needed by the ship in loading and unloading activities. The data collection method used by the author in writing this paper is the field observation method (field research) and the library method (library research) to find out more closely how the company PT. Adhigana Pratama Mulya Belawan branch in carrying out export and import document management activities. The problems faced in the process of managing export and import documents are frequent quantity differences that cause revisions to documents. Good cooperation and coordination between shipping companies and related agencies in the management of export and import documents is needed for the smooth service of handling export and import documents

Abstract

An experiment examined micrometer shifts in optical fibers to understand sensor characteristics: range, linearity, sensitivity, and resolution. Findings showed voltage output decreases with fiber length. The fiber coupler sensor's range was 2 mm, and the fiber bundle sensor's was 25 mm.While not perfectly linear, the study identified operational ranges using y = ax + n. The fiber bundle had two linear regions: Front Linear (0.2-1.6 mm) with R² = 0.9918 and Rear Linear (2.3-8.3 mm) with R² = 0.977. The fiber coupler's linear trend spanned 0.3-2.1 mm with an R² of 0.944. Sensitivity was 4668.5 V/mm (front) and 780.91 V/mm (rear) for the fiber bundle, and 215.79 V/mm for the fiber coupler. Resolution was 0.0107 µm (front), 0.0640 µm (rear) for the fiber bundle, and 0.2317 µm for the fiber coupler. These findings shed light on optical fiber shift sensor parameters.

Abstract

Various factors, including changes in commodity prices, domestic production, trade policies, and geopolitical considerations, can impact the value of oil and gas imports and exports. In addition to technological innovation, economic fluctuations can also be influenced by changes in global demand, domestic production, and trade policies. The value of oil and gas imports and exports may experience fluctuations over time and between nations. The Perdag No. 21 of 2019 and the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia No. 22 of 2001 pertaining to oil and natural gas govern export and import regulations, respectively. These documents provide a clear framework for the management of oil and natural gas resources in Indonesia and aim to harmonize regulations in the oil and gas sector. Natural gas, in addition to enhancing industry oversight and transparency, should be subject to scrutiny, as economic development can be influenced by export and import revenues. The government can subsequently manipulate this information to curb inflation, thereby contributing to the preservation of the nation's economic stability.

Abstract

South Solok Regency is one of the areas that lacks information about the potential of agricultural land in South Solok. The purpose of this study is to map the level of land potential based on the land potential index in South Solok Regency. In this study, it uses tiered quantitative research methods. The quantitative method is a method that uses the provision of values and score calculations in each parameter, this study also uses overlay techniques from several maps for produce information which is then analyzed. The result of the study is the level of land potential based on the land potential index in South Solok Regency is divided into four classes, namely appropriate, very appropriate, less appropriate, and not appropriate. Each with an area of the unsuitable land potential index class covering an area of 348098.6985 Ha, a very suitable paddy field potential index covering an area of 6394.84462 Ha, a suitable paddy field potential index covering an area of 3174.27358 Ha, an unsuitable rice field potential index covering an area of 1551.629185 Ha. The potential level of paddy rice agricultural land based on the land potential index in South Solok Regency has two potential classes, namely appropriate and very appropriate. So the potential area of land suitable for paddy rice farming in South Solok Regency covers an area of 26705,855 Ha.
