Terrorism is an extraordinary crime that poses a serious threat to both national and international security. Law enforcement efforts against such crimes face complex challenges, particularly in the evidentiary process. The process of proving terrorism-related offenses involves not only formal legal procedures but also substantive aspects, including the role of intelligence, the use of information technology, and the protection of human rights. This study aims to comprehensively examine the obstacles encountered by law enforcement authorities in proving acts of terrorism and to propose normative and practical solutions based on the development of national criminal law. The research employs a normative juridical approach, utilizing secondary data sourced from legislation, legal literature, and scholarly journals. The findings highlight the need for a reformulation of evidentiary approaches that are more adaptive to modern terrorism modus operandi, as well as the importance of enhancing cross-sectoral and international cooperation in the enforcement of anti-terrorism laws in Indonesia.

The leakage of consumers' personal data by irresponsible corporations has become a serious issue in the digital era, particularly in the context of data protection in Indonesia. This paper analyzes corporate criminal liability for such data breaches from the perspective of Indonesian cybercriminal law. The study adopts a normative legal approach through literature review of relevant legislation, legal doctrines, and court decisions. The findings indicate that corporations may be held criminally liable if proven negligent or if they fail to fulfill their data protection obligations under the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (ITE Law). Although a legal framework already exists, proving the elements of fault and direct involvement of corporate executives remains a significant challenge. Therefore, there is an urgent need for strengthened technical regulations and stricter law enforcement to ensure the protection of consumer rights in the digital sphere.

The case of Postponement of Debt Payment Obligations (PKPU) of PT Sentul City Tbk is one example of the complexity of dispute resolution between corporations and creditors. The PKPU application was filed by PT Prakasaguna Ciptapratama on January 7, 2021 at the Central Jakarta Commercial Court on the grounds that there was a debt due that had not been paid. Although the peace plan had been approved by the majority of creditors and ratified by the court on March 15, 2021, some consumers who felt aggrieved filed for a Judicial .Review (PK). They based their lawsuit on the postponement of the signing of the Deed of Sale and Purchase (AJB) which had lasted for more than 15 years. This study aims to analyze the legal aspects, financial implications, and social impacts of this case, including an evaluation of the PKPU mechanism in resolving debt disputes in Indonesia.

Land disputes in rural Indonesia reveal the tension between formal law and localized social practices. This study examines a legal case involving a foster grandchild and long-standing landholders, based on Supreme Court Decision No. 1250 K/Pdt/2012. The analysis focuses on legal certainty, the legal standing of foster children, the absence of immaterial damages claims, and the potential for legal innovation. The study suggests that stronger recognition of social-administrative ties in non-biological family relations may serve as a novel approach for reforming property inheritance law.

The criminal act of pedophilia or sexual violence against children still frequently occurs in Indonesia. Although the penalties for perpetrators and clauses regarding child protection have been regulated by national law, this has not stopped the emergence of pedophiles committing crimes. One of the contributing factors is that pedophiles are often individuals close to the victim's environment. This article is prepared to examine the role of law in Indonesia in providing protection to children who become victims of pedophilia cases. Additionally, this article aims to explore how to impose a deterrent effect on pedophiles based on state policies. The research method used in this article is normative legal research, which focuses on the legislation and legal norms in force. Data collection techniques are conducted through literature studies from various legal sources. Laws regarding penalties for perpetrators of violence against children or pedophilia have been structured in such a way as to address these issues. The government has also formulated regulations concerning legal protection for children, especially for those below the legal age of marriage, as an effort to protect them from pedophilic criminal acts. It is hoped that the government, parents, and the immediate environment of children can implement these policies to create a safe environment free from cases of sexual violence against children.

The principle of freedom of contract is a fundamental tenet in contract law that grants parties the autonomy to determine the content, form, and subjects of an agreement. In the context of business contracts in Indonesia, this principle plays a vital role in providing flexibility for business actors to regulate their legal relationships independently. However, in practice, the implementation of this principle often faces various challenges, such as unequal bargaining power between parties and legal interventions aimed at protecting weaker parties. This study aims to analyze how the principle of freedom of contract is applied in the practice of business contracts in Indonesia, as well as the legal boundaries that limit such freedom. A normative juridical method is employed, using statutory and case study approaches. The findings indicate that contractual freedom in Indonesia is not absolute but is restricted by positive law, propriety, and public order. Therefore, a balance is required between contractual freedom and legal protection in the drafting of business contracts.

Human Rights This paper discusses the study of Islamic legal politics and the substance of changes in waqf regulation in Indonesia, particularly in Government Regulation (PP) Number 25 of 2018, which amends Government Regulation Number 42 of 2006. This study seeks to analyze how the approach of Islamic legal politics is applied in responding to the evolving needs of waqf management, in line with the times and the demands of national development, while still aligning with the fundamental principles of Islamic law (sharia). The amendment in Government Regulation No. 25 of 2018 specifically clarifies the mechanism of waqf asset exchange (ruislag) by prioritizing the principles of public benefit (maslahah), accountability, and protection of the waqif’s intent. A normative-juridical approach is employed to analyze this regulation within the framework of maqashid al-sharia and the context of national legal policy. The results of this study indicate that the changes in Government Regulation No. 25 of 2018 have a significant impact on the governance of waqf, making it more transparent and accountable. This impact is the result of the presence of Islamic legal politics in integrating sharia principles with the practical needs of waqf governance. It also encourages waqf policymakers in Indonesia to optimize the potential of waqf in building a just society through sharia-based financial institutions that serve the broader Muslim community.

Parking is a public service with the potential to generate revenue for local governments if managed officially and transparently. Law No. 1 of 2022 on Financial Relations between the Central and Regional Governments states that parking taxes and fees are important components of regional income. In Surakarta, parking management is regulated by Mayor Regulation No. 5 of 2024 concerning Procedures for Collecting Parking Fees. However, the rise of illegal parking practices causes revenue leakage, as unofficial parking operations do not contribute through taxes or levies. This study aims to examine law enforcement efforts against illegal parking in Surakarta and its economic impact on local communities. Using an empirical legal research method, the study explores actual behaviors and verbal patterns in the field.Findings reveal that the Department of Transportation and law enforcement authorities in Surakarta adopt both preventive and repressive approaches to tackle illegal parking, aiming to restore order and reduce public losses. These enforcement efforts significantly affect the local economy by increasing regional revenue and fostering a more orderly and business-friendly environment.
