Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ difficulties in understanding the concept of Stokes’ Theorem in the Vector Calculus course. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through semi-structured interviews with mathematics education students who have studied the topic. The results show that students struggle to comprehend the relationship between line integrals and surface integrals, as well as to connect the concept of curl with vector direction in three-dimensional space. Limited understanding of prerequisite material and the lack of visual media further exacerbate these difficulties. Students reported that learning methods based on visualization and group discussion were helpful. This study recommends the use of contextual learning strategies and interactive media to improve students’ understanding of abstract concepts in Stokes’ Theorem.

Abstract

The Society 5.0 era demands that teachers adapt to technological advancements and the increasingly complex needs of society. Teachers are no longer just educators but also facilitators, mentors, and agents of change who can utilize technology in the learning process without abandoning human values. The teaching profession in this era emphasizes digital technology mastery, data literacy, creativity, and the development of students' character with a humanistic approach. This transformation aligns with the integration of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and big data into social life. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach through literature review to explain the core concepts of the teaching profession, required competencies, challenges faced, and strategies for implementing technology in education. Teachers in the Society 5.0 era must master four main competencies: pedagogical, personal, social, and professional, as outlined in national education policy. Major challenges include unequal access to technology, infrastructure readiness, and issues of digital ethics and security. Therefore, synergy between the government, educational institutions, and society is essential. Strategies such as project-based learning, the use of AI, and empathy-driven approaches are crucial to maintaining a balance between technological advancement and humanistic values in education.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of digital media on language variation among college students. Using qualitative methods and a literature review design, this study analyzes how digital media, such as social media, online communication platforms, and instant messaging applications, influence language use among college students. The results show that digital media triggers the emergence of language variation that includes digital slang, changes in grammar and spelling, and the transfer of foreign culture and vocabulary. Although digital media provides a space for students to express themselves creatively, there are concerns about the negative impact on formal language proficiency. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of collaborative efforts from educational institutions and students to maintain a balance between linguistic creativity and the preservation of formal language.

Abstract

Time management is a key non-cognitive competency that supports students’ learning autonomy and academic achievement in competitive higher education settings. This study aimed to examine the influence of time management behavior on academic performance. Using a quantitative correlational design, the research involved 50 second-semester students from the Faculty of Economics at Universitas Nasional Pasim Bandung. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using simple linear regression. The results indicated a positive and significant influence, as shown by the regression equation Y = 10.742 + 0.844X and a coefficient of determination R² = 0.505. These findings underscore the role of time management as a robust predictor of academic success, highlighting the need for universities to incorporate structured time management training into student soft skills development programs.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in the Indonesian economy, including in the traditional culinary sector such as the home-based Kue Cincin Sofwan business. However, in its operations, inefficient division of worker tasks is often found, resulting in wasteful costs. This study aims to apply the Hungarian Method in determining optimal worker assignments in order to minimize operational costs. The study was conducted through a case study approach with observation, interview, and documentation techniques on four workers and four main types of work: kneading, molding, frying, and distributing cakes. Working time data was converted into costs, then analyzed using the Hungarian Method through row and column reduction steps and zero-based assignments in the matrix. . The results showed a 25% decrease in operational costs compared to the previous assignment system. The results of the analysis showed that optimal worker allocation resulted in assignments with lower total costs than the previous unstructured method. Thus, the application of the Hungarian Method has proven effective in helping MSMEs, especially home businesses, improve operational efficiency and cost savings. This study is expected to be a reference for similar business actors in managing human resources more efficiently and scientifically.
