Abstract

Reproductive health starts from conception, infants, toddlers to old age. Toddlers are an age group that is vulnerable to nutrition and disease prone. The purpose of this study was to analyze the eating habits of malnourished children under five in fishermen's families in Kwala Serapuh Village, Tanjung Pura District. Type of research is a qualitative research with a case study strategy. Data collection is done by observation and interviews. The informants of this study were mothers of children under five with malnutrition. The results showed that the eating habits of malnourished children under five in fishermen's families were not good because the frequency of eating 2 (two) times a day did not meet the quantity and quality of food for toddlers. The type of food does not vary because it is considered extravagant. It is hoped that midwives and public health officers will increase counseling about good eating habits in toddlers so that they can reduce the incidence of under-five nutritional status

Abstract

Labor and birth is a physiological process, although the process is physiological, in general it’s scary because it is accompanied by severe pain, sometimes even causing life-threatening physical and mental conditions. Various efforts have been made to overcome labor pain, namely pharmacological and non-pharmacological management. One of non-pharmacological management is hydrotherapy (hot/cold therapy). Warm compress method used in hydrotherapy is more effective and efficient during labor in reducing pain, warm compress stimulates temperature receptors in skin and suppresses pain through gate control theory. This research is a quasi-experimental analytic research with one group pretest posttest design. This research was conducted in September-December 2021 at BPM Islah Wahyuni Pekanbaru. population was all mothers who gave birth to BPM Islah Wahyuni Pekanbaru with total sample of 36 people with accidental sampling technique. analysis used univariate and bivariate data analysis using T-Test Dependent. The results showed scale of labor pain in the first stage of the active phase in women giving birth before warm compresses showed the majority experienced severe pain as many as 17 people (47%) and after warm compresses showed the majority experienced moderate pain as many as 16 people (44%). the t-test obtained p-value 0.000 and t-count (5.431) > t-table (1.688). It can be concluded that warm compress therapy is effective in reducing first stage labor pain in women giving birth. It is hoped midwives can intervene of warm compresses to reduce labor pain because it has been proven to be effective in reducing pain intensity during labor

During menstruation, the most common complaint is menstrual pain or what is known as dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea is characterized by lower abdominal pain. Ways how to overcome dysmenorrhea can be done by various treatments, one of them is drinking nutritious herbal drinks, namely carrot juice. Giving carrot juice contains vitamin E and beta-carotene which can provide analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects with the mechanism of action, namely inhibiting the activity enzymes and cyclooxygenase-2 enzymes so that these enzymes cannot convert arachidonic acid into prostaglandins as a cause of pain. Method: This research method is Pre-Experimental with One Group Pretest Post Test Design which was conducted at SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru in December 2021. The number of samples was 66 young women who were taken using the Simple Purposive Sampling technique. The result was analyzed by using the Dependent Sample T Test. Abstract

One of the causes of death in addition to bleeding, pre-eclampsia and complications during the puerperium is infection. The so-called infection during the puerperium is an injury in the birth canal that can cause infection. Injury to the birth canal can occur due to an error during delivery, but it can also occur due to laceration or episiotomy. Episiotomy is performed because it prevents tearing of the perineum, and reduces the strain on the muscles supporting the bladder or ectum that are too strong and prolonged, reducing the length of the second stage. The purpose of this study was to determine the good management of vulvar hygiene and prevention of infection in the birth canal. This research uses a qualitative approach or also called library research. By using the research method of literature or literature study. Results Vulva hygiene is an action to maintain the cleanliness of the external female organs (vulva) which is carried out to maintain health and prevent infection. Conclusion Efforts to prevent infection risk are carried out by providing vulvar hygiene interventions for the perceived perineal wound healing process and recommending patients to perform personal hygiene to keep it clean. Suggestions are for further research on this topic to observe post partum mothers

Abstract

Anemia often occurs due to iron deficiency because in pregnant women there is a twofold increase in iron requirements due to an increase in blood volume without plasma volume expansion, to meet the needs of the mother. One alternative to meet iron needs can be done by consuming vegetables that contain iron in the diet. Green spinach is a source of food that depends on compounds needed in the synthesis of hemoglobin such as iron and vitamin B Complex. The purpose of this literature review is to find out non-pharmacological treatments with consumption of spinach in anemic pregnant women, the method used is by browsing articles using electronic media with keyword guidance. From the search results, it was found that consumption of spinach can increase hemoglobin levels so that it can be used as a non-pharmacological treatment for pregnant women with anemia. Suggestions for pregnant women who experience anemia, can consume spinach as an alternative to increase hemoglobin levels and consume foods with balanced nutrition to meet the needs during pregnancy

Abstract

The maternal mortality rate in 2019/2020 was 306 per 1000 birth rates. The level of delivery readiness is still very low, especially during the pandemic this affects the limitation of ANC services for pregnant women, ANC visits have decreased since the pandemic period, even though there is evidence that mothers who rarely do ANC will be at risk of experiencing interference during pregnancy and can even be at risk At the time of the preparation stage, there will be socialization to pregnant women related to pregnancy, and at the implementation stage, material about pregnancy will be given and finally at the evaluation stage, it will be carried out. There was a question session related to pregnancy, this activity was carried out in Batu Aji, Sagulung sub-district, and the target of this activity was 30 pregnant women.
