Abstract

This study seeks to investigate the influence of cyberslacking on task performance, with locus of control serving as a mediating variable among Professional Village Assistants in Nganjuk Regency. A quantitative approach with a survey design was employed, involving 73 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using non-parametric statistical techniques, with hypothesis testing performed through Smart-PLS. The findings reveal that cyberslacking has a negative effect on locus of control, yet it does not have a significant impact on task performance. Furthermore, locus of control is not found to mediate the relationship between cyberslacking and task performance. These results indicate that cyberslacking does not directly lead to a significant decline in work performance, while strengthening locus of control may improve individuals’ capacity to regulate their performance. This study offers practical implications for organizational policy development aimed at enhancing the productivity of village assistants by minimizing the adverse effects of cyberslacking through reinforcing locus of control.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of job autonomy on employee performance, with psychological empowerment as a mediating variable among Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) management personnel in Kunjang District, Kediri Regency. This research employs a quantitative approach with a population of 72 BUMDes management personnel. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS. The results indicate that job autonomy does not have a significant effect on psychological empowerment, suggesting that the level of autonomy provided does not directly enhance the psychological empowerment of management personnel. In addition, job autonomy does not significantly affect employee performance, indicating that greater freedom at work has not yet translated into improved productivity, responsiveness, and accountability. However, psychological empowerment has a significant effect on employee performance, confirming that the dimensions of Meaning, Competence, Self-Determination, and Impact play an important role in improving performance. Furthermore, psychological empowerment is not able to mediate the relationship between job autonomy and employee performance, indicating that other factors may be more dominant in determining the effectiveness of job autonomy. The findings imply the importance of improving governance, strengthening policy support, and enhancing the competencies of BUMDes management personnel to achieve more optimal performance.

Abstract

Strategic borderlands and regional development In strategic border regions,?we find a complex politico-geographical dynamic between the imperatives of state territorial security on one hand, and economic under-development on the other. It’s about Natuna?Regency, Indonesia's "front-door" in the North Natuna Sea, which is emblematic of the unique paradox of high resource potential and long-standing development lags. The research examine 77 village units in Natuna to investigate regional development trajectories through Gunnar Myrdal’s perspective of Circular and Cumulative Causation (CCC), exploring the mechanisms of economic “locking” mechanisms of borderland economy. The methodology employs an advanced?k-prototype clustering algorithm to interpret high-dimensional Podes 2025 secondary data. This model uses mixed-type variables (i.e., digital, infrastructure or the presence of BTS and signal strength), economic facilities (credit access/KUR) as well as environmental?risk factor to analyze spatial-economic disparities. The analysis reveals three clusters-Growth Poles (Bunguran Timur), with a?"virtuous cycle" of digital-institutional synergy, The Agricultural Periphery in the form of a "backwash effect," associated with logistical bottlenecks, and Isolated Maritime Units facing cumulative decay. The study reveals that borderland resilience cannot be solely attributed to physical infrastructure but to the management of the compounded effect of innovation. The present research provides a strategic blueprint for sub-national governance to harness secondary data for policy-making in critical maritime areas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyzing the urgency of halal certification in the chicken slaughtering process at the poultry slaughterhouse according to Law No. 33 of 2014 and MUI Fatwa No. 12 of 2009. This research is a type of empirical juridical research that uses a sociological approach to law and legislation. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data sources used are primary data sources, which include interviews with chicken slaughterhouse owners, chicken slaughterers, and the surrounding community. Meanwhile, secondary data includes Law No. 33 of 2014 concerning halal product guarantees, MUI Fatwa No. 12 of 2009 concerning halal slaughtering standards, and scientific literature. In Jember Regency, there are 15-20 chicken slaughterhouses, and only one RPA has been certified as halal. The results obtained from this study indicate that the chicken slaughtering process at several RPAs in Jember Regency has been carried out in accordance with Islamic law as stipulated in MUI Fatwa Number 12 of 2009 concerning Halal Slaughtering Standards. However, several of these RPA do not yet have halal certification as required by Law No. 33 of 2014 concerning Halal Product Guarantee. This is due to the low level of understanding among business actors regarding the legal obligation of halal certification and the assumption that halal status is sufficiently determined by the conformity of the slaughtering process with Islamic law. Therefore, efforts are needed to increase awareness, provide assistance, and conduct supervision by the government and relevant institutions so that RPA business actors better understand the importance of halal certification and are encouraged to immediately undergo the halal certification process.

Abstract

Progress in digital technologies across the banking industry has reshaped consumer patterns in adopting electronic financial services, encompassing Islamic banking domains. The present investigation examines the linkage between digital service quality and perceived ease of use with loyalty among BYOND app users, positioning customer satisfaction as the intervening factor. Employing a quantitative methodology, the study targets Bank BSI clientele in Malang City, drawing a purposive sample of 115 participants. Primary data were gathered via Likert-scale questionnaires and subjected to analysis through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) employing the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach within SmartPLS 4.1.1.8 software. Findings reveal that both digital service quality and ease of use exert a significant positive effect on customer loyalty. Customer satisfaction effectively mediates this association. These outcomes underscore that enhancements in digital service standards and app accessibility can elevate satisfaction levels, thereby bolstering loyalty. Thus, prioritizing user-centric digital service innovations emerges as a pivotal tactic for enhancing the competitive edge of Islamic banking amid the digital transformation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between Perceived Organizational Support (POS) and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) using a causal associative approach. The study involved 100 administrative staff from universities in Lombok, Indonesia, selected through a convenience sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 3.0. The results of the measurement model indicate that all indicators meet the acceptable validity threshold, with outer loading values above 0.50. However, the structural model testing using bootstrapping shows that POS does not have a statistically significant effect on OCB (β = 0.828; t = 1.312; p = 0.190), leading to the rejection of the hypothesis. These findings imply that perceived organizational support alone is insufficient to encourage extra-role behaviors among employees. Therefore, future research should consider incorporating mediating or moderating variables to better explain OCB in organizational contexts.

Abstract

One of the biggest exporters of canned tuna worldwide is Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to examine the market dynamics and competitiveness of Indonesia's canned tuna exports (HS 160414) to important export markets between 2020 and 2024. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with four analytical tools, which are Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Revealed Symmetric Comparative Advantage (RSCA) Export Product Dynamics (EPD), and the X-Model Potential Export Product. Data were sourced from Trademap and the World Integrated Trade Solution (WITS). The results indicate that Indonesian canned tuna possesses a strong comparative advantage in nearly all destination countries, with RCA values >1 and positive RSCA values. Ecuador recorded the highest RCA value, while Egypt and Malaysia consistently lacked a comparative advantage. The EPD analysis placed South Korea, Oman, and Thailand in the Rising Star category as markets with the greatest potential. Based on the X-Model analysis, these three countries fall into the Optimistic Market Development category and are the top priorities for the development of Indonesian canned tuna exports. This study recommends strengthening market penetration strategies in high-potential countries as well as improving the quality and sustainability of fisheries resource management as the key to long-term competitiveness.
