Abstract

Research about fotodegradation Linear Alkyl Sulphonate ( LAS ) Surfactant by using UV 254 nm with semiconductor ZnO as photocatalyst have been done. Through photocatalysis process surfactant LAS was degradated with constructively ZnO as photocatalyst using mercury low pressure vapour lamp 254 nm as source of light. By using 20 mg ZnO and illuminated by during 1 hour with light from UV 254 nm, 40 ml LAS surfactant 10 ppm having ability to degradation until 82.12%. Otherwise if we not used ZnO as photocatalyst, LAS surfactant only have ability to degradation until 49.88%. If sunlight used as the source of the light, the ability of degradation surfactant LAS only as 77.48%. Finally, from the research that have been done we can made conclusion, fotodegration surfactant LAS with using light from UV 254 nm can be improved efficiency time and usage of its source energy if ZnO used as photocatalyst

Abstract

Mikrobiologi pangan pada hakikatnya menelaah kehidupan mikroorganisme dalam pangan. Apabila mikroorganisme ini populasinya meningkat, dapat menimbulkan berbagai masalah yang menyangkut keamanan pangan diantaranya adalah: dapat menurunkan taraf mutu bahan makanan, dapat mengakibatkan kerusakan pangan, merupakan sarana penularan beberapa penyakit perut menular dan keracunan makanan yang tidak jarang menimbulkan kematian Berbagai faktor yang menentukan keberadaan mikroorganisme dalam bahan pangan adalah faktor intrinsik, pengolahan, ekstrinsik, implisit dan faktor makanan. Ada enam cara terpenting dalam pengendalian pertumbuhan mikroorganisme ini, yaitu: mengurangi kadar air, pengubahan suhu (penurunan atau peningkatan suhu), penghilangan oksigen, pengaturan pH, irradiasi. dan bahan kimia.

Abstract

Pendidikan memegang peranan penting dalam era globalisasi sehingga perlu dilakukan perubahan dan perbaikan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan nasional. Upaya pembaharuan dalam bidang pendidikan dilakukan melalui penerapan kurikulum berbasis kompetensi (KBK). KBK mengarahkan pada proses pembelajaran konstruktivistik agar siswa dapat membangun pengetahuannya melalui serangkaian proses pembelajaran. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang mengacu pada proses pembelajaran konstruktivistik adalah model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5 Fase. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5 Fase dengan siswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan eksperimental semu. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri I Talun pada tahun ajaran 2006/2007. Sampel dalam penelitian terdiri dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang diambil secara acak kelas. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik dan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5 Fase dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional, dimana rata-rata nilai hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5 Fase lebih tinggi (81,13) daripada dengan pembelajaran konvensional (74,53).

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran tentang contoh penerapan farmakoterapi pada asuhan kefarmasian/pharmaceutical care. Bahan bahasan yaitu kasus pasien rumah sakit dengan cirrhosis hepatic. Farmakoterapi mempelajari kaitan etiologi-patofisiologi penyakit, makna tanda klinis dan diagnosis yang ditegakkan oleh klinisi, serta data laboratoris, tujuan terapi dan obat yang diresepkan, hasil terapi (outcome) yang diharapkan, dan hasil terapi yang terjadi. Dengan adanya analisis ilmiah terpadu dan tindakan profesional farmasis berdasarkan data medik terapi pasien, asuhan kefarmasian dapat dilakukan. Akhirnya penggunaan obat yang rasional dalam upaya peningkatan kesehatan dan kualitas hidup pasien dapat tercapai. Bahasan salah satu kasus di atas hanya merupakan contoh konsep paradigma asuhan kefarmasian, dari tak terbatasnya masalah obat. Untuk terbentuknya kemampuan profesional asuhan kefarmasian utamanya di rumah sakit, memerlukan interaksi profesional intensif di lapangan, membangun dasar keilmuan relevan dan komprehensif. Farmakoterapi merupakan ilmu dan sarana untuk penerapan asuhan kefarmasian.

Abstract

The application of Gorontalo dictionary is designed for helping people to learn Gorontalo language faster and easier, because it used handphone as a media. Thus, people find out the translation into Gorontalo-Indonesia and Indonesia-Gorontalo directly. The objective of the study is produce an application Gorontalo dictionary by using a handphone based on java 2 microedition technology. Moreover, the profit of this study is give contribution and facilitation for people who learn Gorontalo language anywhere and anytime. Overall, the application system helping Gorontalo people to learn their language faster than before by using handphone)

Abstract

Vertigo is one of the most complaints that endorse patients to visit a physician. Vertigo can be classified into central and peripheral type. Till present there is no gold standard for vertigo examination. Anamnesis and the severity of the complaint are often used to establish the diagnosis of vertigo.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to classify strain of genus Actinobacillus, Haemophillus and Pasteurella based on numerical taxonomy through Simple Matching Coefficient (SSM) and Jaccard Coefficient ( SJ ) analyze. Fifty character units of thirds genus were collected from Bergeys manual compiled in n x t matrix. Phena was detected based on taxospecies concept. MVSP Plus version 2.0 and UPGMA algorithm was used to construct of similar matrix and dendogram. The result of this research are classified the genus Actinobacillus, Haemophillus and Pasteurella into 4 (four) clusters through SSM analyze and 10 (ten) clusters through SJ analyze with coefficient correlation 0.4055 (SSM) and 0.824 (SJ). It show that the dendogram was constructed from SJ analyze more accurate than SSM analyze.

Abstract

Asbuton campuran beraspal panas adalah campuran antara agregat dengan bahan pengikat bitumen (asbuton murni/asbuton modifikasi/aspal keras penetrasi 60/70 yang ditambah asbuton butir) dicampur di Unit Pencampur Aspal, dihampar dan dipadatkan pada keadaan panas dalam temperatur tertentu. Dari hasil pengujian asbuton yang pernah dilakukan sebelumnya, penggunaan asbuton butir tipe 15/20 mampu mereduksi pemakaian aspal minyak hingga 23,3 % dan agregat sebesar 6 %. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui karakteristik campuran Panas AC-WC Modified Asbuton Butir Type 15/20 Dengan Kadar Asbuton 7 % . Metode yang digunakan dalam penentuan rancangan campuran menggunakan metode trial and error. Setelah dilakukan pengujian secara berulang maka didapat proporsi campuran dari masing-masing fraksi yang memenuhi spesifikasi Puslitbang Jalan dan Jembatan Tahun 2007. Benda uji dibuat dengan 5 variasi kadar aspal yaitu 5,0%, 5,5%, 6,0%, 6,5%, dan 7,0% yang masing-masing terdiri dari 3 buah benda uji, sedangkan untuk pengujian PRD terdiri dari 3 variasi kadar aspal yaitu 5,5%, 6%, dan 6,5%. Dari benda uji itu dilakukan pengujian Marshall dan PRD yang akan menghasilkan karakteristik campuran. Berdasarkan hasil karakteristik campuran menunujukan bahwa nilai stabilitas, kelelehan, VMA, dan Marshall Quotient untuk kadar aspal 5%-7% memenuhi spesifikasi, namun untuk VIMMarshall yang memenuhi yaitu 5,5%-6,3%, untuk VIMPRD yaitu 5,5%-6,4%, sedangkan untuk VFA yang memenuhi spesifikasi adalah 5,35%-6,4% maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa semua material yang digunakan pada penelitian ini dapat digunakan pada campuran panas menggunakan asbuton butir type 15/20 dengan kadar asbuton 7% pada lapis permukaan AC-WC Modified.

Abstract

Koan fish is the one of fish herbivore that can use the plant as their food in high number. The eating ability of the fish influenced by the gut structure of the koan fish. The koan fish have a short gut and this cause the digesting ability is uncompleted. For balancing, the koan fish needs the high number of plant for their food. The ability of koan fish in eating plant is influenced by the age and the weight of fish. The study by Onu (2007) in limboto lakes shows that the one year of koan fish with 250 fish per net can eat 1.12 kg/m2 of Euchornia (eceng gondok). This more effectives than five month of koan fish that can eat Euchornia (eceng gondok) only 0.46 kg/m2. Other factor also influences the ability of koan fish in eating water plan. The population density, kind of species, and weed location in the water also can influence the ability of fish in eating the weeds. Koan fish can be live in water with the oxygen content about 0.41 to 28 mg/l, pH 5.0 to 9.0 and temperature 0 to 33o C. Koan fish can be reproduce in the temperature 30.4o C. Based on data, it knows that oxygen content of Limboto lakes is about 1.73 to 9.84 mg/l and pH about 7 8.5. Limboto Lake temperature is about 25.0 to 32.9 o C with the average is 29.75 o C. If we see the ability of koan fish to eat the water plant and considering to lives prerequisite of koan fish life so the koan fish can be used as weed control in Limboto Lake.
