Abstract

This study is descriptive research that aimed to find out the fish species which capture by fishermen in Limboto lakes, index of diversity and fish nutrition status. This study using survey method and was done in 6 month, from February to July 2007. Sampling was done in 3 stations, those are, 1st station in Batudaa, 2nd station in Limboto, and 3rd station in Telaga. Sampling based on the type of the capture equipment with 6 replications. The captured fish was identified by determination key, the index of diversity determined using Shannon-wiener diversity index. The fish nutrition index determined using Foultons formula about the coefficient of fish nutrition value. The result showed, there are 12 species fish that captured by fisherman in Limboto lake, those are, Oreochromis niloticus (Ikan Nila), Oreochromis mossambicus (Ikan Mujair), Glossogobius giurus (Ikan Manggabai), Ophiochara sp (Ikan Belosoh), Ophiochara porocephala (payangga), Trichogaste trichopterus (Ikan Sepat), Clarias batrachus (Ikan Lele), Trichogaster pectoralis (Ikan Sepat Siam), Clarias striata (Ikan Gabus), Anabas testudineus (Ikan Betok), Berbodes gonionotus (Ikan Tawes) dan Angguilla marmorata (Ikan Sidat). Index diversity value (H) is 6,48 and the coefficient of fish nutrition (NVC) of Oreochromis niloticus is 1,92, Oreochromos mosambicus is 1,57, Glossogobius giurus is 0,70, Ophiochara sp is 0,91, Ophiochara porocephala is 0,97, Trichagaster trichopterus is 1,42, Clarias batrachus is 1,27, Trichogaster pectroralis 1,37, Channa striata 2,16, Anabas testudineus is 1,55, Barbodes gonionotus is 1,3 and Anguilla marmorata is 1,95

Abstract

This research was conducted at Biology Laboratorium FMIPA Gorontalo State University. The time range for this research was 2 month (Mey, 13 rd to June, 13 rd 2006). The subject was hamster siria amount 15 of age 4 months. The method of this research was experimental that consist of 3 treatments and 5 repeats. Treatment A: hamster siria was added herba seledri water boiled by 0.06 gr/30 gr BB dosis. The dosis was found by pre research. Treatment B: hamster siria was added furosemida suspension into NACMC 1% by 0.0006 gr/30 gr BB as positive control. Treatment C: hamster siria was added aquades 2.5 ml/30 gr BB as negative control. Variables that was searched were dependent variable of herba seledri water boiled and independent variable was hamster siria urine volume. For analysing data researcher used Kruskal-willis test. Result of this research saw that total volume of hamster urine added by herba seledri water boiled was high, namely 17.78 ml and volume of hamster urine added by treatment of furosemida suspension 9.3 ml and volume of hamster urine added by water flame was 4.3. Average of hamster urine volume added by herba seledri water boiled was higher 4 ml than average hamster urine volume added by treatment of furosemida suspension 1.8 ml, and average of hamster urine added by water flame was 0.8 ml. Based on statistic test saw that value H = 38.18 higher than value X o,os (2) = 5.991, so Ho wasnt accepted. Finally, it can be concluded that herba seledri water boiled added to hamster siria has diuretic effect.

Abstract

Koan fish is the one of fish herbivore that can use the plant as their food in high number. The eating ability of the fish influenced by the gut structure of the koan fish. The koan fish have a short gut and this cause the digesting ability is uncompleted. For balancing, the koan fish needs the high number of plant for their food. The ability of koan fish in eating plant is influenced by the age and the weight of fish. The study by Onu (2007) in limboto lakes shows that the one year of koan fish with 250 fish per net can eat 1.12 kg/m2 of Euchornia (eceng gondok). This more effectives than five month of koan fish that can eat Euchornia (eceng gondok) only 0.46 kg/m2. Other factor also influences the ability of koan fish in eating water plan. The population density, kind of species, and weed location in the water also can influence the ability of fish in eating the weeds. Koan fish can be live in water with the oxygen content about 0.41 to 28 mg/l, pH 5.0 to 9.0 and temperature 0 to 33o C. Koan fish can be reproduce in the temperature 30.4o C. Based on data, it knows that oxygen content of Limboto lakes is about 1.73 to 9.84 mg/l and pH about 7 8.5. Limboto Lake temperature is about 25.0 to 32.9 o C with the average is 29.75 o C. If we see the ability of koan fish to eat the water plant and considering to lives prerequisite of koan fish life so the koan fish can be used as weed control in Limboto Lake.

Abstract

Cockle (or “bia” in Gorontalo language) and lime (“limu” in Gorontalo language) can be found in Olele village, which is located nearby Tomini bay. The objective of this community service program was to disseminate information regarding the chemical content of the shell of cockles and the addition of lemon extract as a preservative, which has the potential as an eco-friendly toothpaste, to society. Further, this program was also aimed at improving people’s skills in processing the two products. The program consisted of mentoring and training activities. It was revealed that the program improved the knowledge of the local community, especially fishermen’s wives and the participants of the program, regarding the content of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) within the shells of cockle at 12,254.64 mg/kg, which could be used as a material of natural, eco-friendly toothpaste. On top of that, the people were also aware of the utility of lime as a preservative material. This community service program received support from the governance of Olele village. Further follow-ups would be designed in the form of innovative village competition.  Keywords: Shells of cockles; lemon; society, toothpaste

Abstract

ABSTRAK Elawati.2015. Efisiensi Penyerapan Logam Berat Tembaga (Cu) Oleh Tumbuhan Kangkung Air (Ipomoae aquatica Forks) Dengan Waktu Kontak Yang Berbeda. Skripsi. Jurusan Pendidikan Biologi, Fakultas Matematika dan IPA, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Dr. Novri Y. Kandowangko M.P sebagai Pembimbing I dan Dr. Djuna Lamondo, M.Si sebagai Pembimbing II. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efisiensi penyerapan logam berat tembaga (Cu) oleh tumbuhan kangkung air (Ipomoea aquatica Forks) pada waktu kontak yang berbeda. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan 4 perlakuan, yakni waktu kontak selama 7, 14, 21, dan 28 hari. Kemudian setiap wadah diberikan Cu(NO3) dengan konsentrasi 40 ppm. Pengukuran akumulasi logam Cu pada tumbuhan kangkung air dengan menggunakan Atomic Absorpsion Spektofotometri (AAS). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penyerapan tumbuhan kangkung air yaitu pada hari ke-7, kangkung air menyerap logam berat Cu sebanyak 26,27 ppm atau sekitar 65,67 %, pada hari ke-14 menyerap sebesar 28,25 ppm atau sekitar 70,62 %, hari ke-21 menyerap sebesar 26,38 ppm atau sekitar 65,95 % dan hari ke-28 menyerap sebesar 24,5 ppm atau sekitar 61,25 % yang terserap. Abstract

Sustainable Development Goals  (SDGs) adalah upaya terpadu mewujudkan Desa tanpa kemiskinan dan kelaparan, Desa ekonomi tumbuh merata, Desa peduli kesehatan, Desa peduli lingkungan, Desa peduli pendidikan, Desa ramah perempuan, Desa berjejaring dan Desa tanggap budaya untuk percepatan pencapaian tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Melalui implementasi SDGs, diharapkan arah tujuan pembangunan Desa akan lebih terarah, terukur dan mandiri. Pelaksanaan program KKN Tematik Desa Membangun telah berdasarkan pada sasaran RENSTRA Kemendes PDTT Tahun 2020-2024 yang bertujuan untuk  mendorong terwujudnya Desa berkembang dan mandiri, serta meningkatnya pengetahuan masyarakat agar mampu melakukan inovasi untuk peningkatan taraf hidup masyarakat sesuai pencapaian SDGs. Berdasarkan tujuan tersebut, dalam rangka mempercepat  pencapaian  SDGs Desa Deme 2 Kecamatan Sumalata Timur Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara khususnya di Era kenormalan baru dan sebagai persiapan untuk masa pasca pandemic COVID-19, maka perlu  prioritas dan fokus  pembangunan diantaranya adalah percepatan  pencapaian SDGs melalui penyusunan dan pelaksanaan program kreatif yang sesuai dengan tipologi SDGs dengan menerapkan pembangunan berkelanjutan tingkat desa. Adapaun Program kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan dalam rangka memprcepat pemulihan ekonomi dan perencanaan pembangunan Desa Deme 2 yaitu (1). Musyawarah Perencanaan Pembangunan (Musrembang), (2). Kegiatan Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM) melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat dengan melaksanakan sosialisasi dan pelatihan pemanfaatan sampah plastik dan limbah cangkang kerang. Selain itu terdapat beberapa program tambahan yang dilaksanakan untuk pengembangan potensi Desa Deme 2 diantaranya (1). Pembuatan Spot Foto di Pulau Diyonumo , (2). Pembuatan Papan Penanda, Rumah Warga dan Lokasi Sekolah dan (3). Pekan Olahraga dan Seni Desa (POSDU). Kerjasama yang terjalin antara masyarakat, pemerintah Desa dan mahasiswa program KKN Tematik Desa Membangun membuat program kerja yang dilaksnakan terealisasi dengan baik dan memberikan manfaat yang luar biasa untuk pembangunan desa Deme 2 Kecamatan Sumalata Timur Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara

Abstract

Online learning is one of the efforts made by the government in the education sector to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of the application of online learning to science lessons in biology material during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research method is descriptive. The results showed that the implementation of online learning of Biology Science material class VIII MTs in Gorontalo City in the teacher aspect included strong criteria as seen from 5 indicators, namely online learning tools, online learning processes, student participation in online learning, online practicum implementation and the assessment process. The implementation of online learning on the material of Biology Science class VIII MTs in Gorontalo City on student aspects includes strong criteria as can be seen from 4 indicators, namely the online learning process, student participation in online learning, implementation of online practicum and increasing creativity. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of online learning of biology science material class VIII MTs in Gorontalo City is a strong criterion.

Abstract

This study aims to produce electronic teaching materials based on blended learning enriched virtual models that are valid, practical, and effective in improving students' cognitive abilities. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The subjects in this study were 15 students of class VIII junior high school. Two expert validators and one practitioner carry out validation to assess the product from the aspects of presentation, content, and language. Practicality is assessed based on the implementation of learning, student activities, and student responses to electronic teaching materials. Effectiveness is assessed based on THB. The study results obtained: (1) The design of electronic teaching material products discusses the structure and function of the organs of the human respiratory system equipped with images, audio, and video. (2) The validation of these electronic teaching materials obtained an average score of 93% (very valid). (3) The practicality test score from the learning implementation results obtained 100% (very good), the student activity score was 89.5% (very good), and the student response results obtained 95% (very good). (4) The effectiveness test results based on N-Gain analysis obtained an average score of 0.7 medium criteria. Thus, the electronic teaching materials developed are suitable for learning support to improve students' cognitive abilities in the human respiratory system material. The research implies that it can be of information for broader research.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the perceptions of Biology Department studenst at Universitas Negeri Gorontalo towards online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research employs a survey method, and data are collected through a questionnaire. The research participants are all students majoring in Biology who were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic from 2018 to 2021, totaling 420 participants. The sample is determined by using stratified random sampling with 15% in each year totaling 67 participants as the sample. The results indicate that: (1) the lecturer capability indicators are in the very good category with 84%; (2) indicators of learning activities are in the good category with 83.7%; (3) the indicators of facilities and infrasructure are in the good category with 85.3%; (4) The average of all indicators indicate that perception of students majoring in Biology at Universitas Negeri Gorontalo towards online learning during the covid-19 pandemic are in the very good category with 84.3%.
