Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between adversity quotient and anxiety in facing the world of work, as well as how the dimensions of the adversity quotient are related to anxiety in facing the world of work. The high rate of open unemployment among vocational school graduates causes anxiety in the transition to the world of work. Adversity quotient, as an individual's ability to face challenges, is thought to have a role in managing anxiety. The analytical method used in this research is a quantitative method with a correlational design. The research subjects were 62 class XII students at Semen Padang Vocational School who were selected using a total sampling technique. The instruments used are an adversity quotient scale and an anxiety scale with a Likert model. The analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS 25. The results show that the adversity quotient of control has a significant positive relationship with a value of p= 0.014, the origin & ownership dimension and the reach dimension have a significant negative relationship with anxiety in facing the world of work with a value of p= 0.022 and p= 0.018, while the endurance dimension has no relationship with anxiety in facing the world of work with a value of p= 0.113. Therefore, it is hoped that this research can make a contribution to the field of educational psychology, especially in designing programs that can increase students' adversity quotient to help them face the world of work with more confidence.

Reliability on CDSE-SF scale is .845 and on the self perceived employability scale is .829 based on the result of the Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis, it shows that there is a significant positive correlation with a correlation coefficient (r) of .229 (sig. (p) of .000). The result of this study indicate that there is a positive relationship between career decision self efficacy and self perceived employability on vocational student. Abstract

Adolescents are vulnerable to showing aggressive behavior that is often justified through the process of moral disengagement. This study aims to adapt and test the validity and reliability of the Indonesian version of the Moral Disengagement Scale (MDS) in adolescents aged 10–15 years. Participants in this study were 323 early adolescents selected through a purposive sampling method. Scale adaptation was carried out through the stages of forward-backward translation, expert judgment, Aiken-V test, and analysis using JASP version 19.3. The results of the validity test showed that 18 of the 19 items had an item-total correlation above 0.3, indicating good discrimination. The Cronbach's Alpha reliability value of 0.883 indicated high internal consistency. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) showed a KMO value of 0.892 and Bartlett's Test was significant (p <0.01), so it was worthy of further analysis. The Indonesian version of the MDS scale forms three main factors that describe the dimensions of aggression justification, beliefs about the treatment of others, and moral rationalization. This finding is in line with the three-factor model developed by Rubio-Garay et al. (2017). The Indonesian version of the MDS scale has been proven valid and reliable, and is able to describe the tendency of moral disengagement in adolescents in the context of Indonesian culture.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of Lo-Fi music on students' learning motivation. The background of this study is rooted in the high academic pressure that can lead to decreased learning motivation among students. Lo-Fi music is considered to be able to create a supportive learning environment and increase concentration. The method used in this study was an experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design. A total of 11 students who experienced decreased learning motivation were selected as samples through a purposive sampling technique. The treatment given was in the form of three Lo-Fi music listening sessions. Data were collected using a learning motivation scale developed by Cherniss and Goleman (2001). The results of the analysis using a paired sample t-test showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest (p = 0.001), indicating that Lo-Fi music has a positive effect on increasing learning motivation. These findings contribute to the application of music as an alternative relaxation method in educational contexts.

Abstract

Emotion regulation is the ability to manage, direct, and adapt emotional responses to various situations. Among adolescents in the digital era, this ability is increasingly vital due to high exposure to social media. This study aims to systematically review the literature on the role of emotion regulation in adolescents, focusing on social media use and its mental health implications. By analyzing peer-reviewed articles from databases such as PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar, the findings indicate that poor emotion regulation increases the risk of depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem, particularly due to social comparison and cyberbullying. On the other hand, adaptive emotion regulation acts as a buffer against digital stress. The findings highlight the importance of emotional education and family involvement in promoting digital emotional resilience in adolescents.

Abstract

This study aims to describe self-disclosure in users of the Close Friend Instagram Story feature and determine the psychological impact of using the feature. The Close Friend feature allows users to share personal stories and information exclusively with selected friends, thus providing a safer and more private space than the public Instagram Story. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with thematic analysis. Data was obtained through an open-ended questionnaire distributed online to 314 participants who are active users of the Close Friend feature. The results showed that the main reasons users choose the Close Friend feature are to maintain privacy, increase their sense of comfort, and reduce social pressure. In addition, self-disclosure on the feature is driven by emotional closeness and a sense of security towards selectively chosen close friends. The perceived psychological impact includes feelings of relief, happiness, and increased self-confidence. However, some users also felt anxiety due to the potential spread of personal information. The conclusion of this study confirms that the Close Friend Instagram Story feature is an effective medium for more intimate and private self-disclosure, although it still holds risks to user privacy.
