Abstract

This study examines the deservingness theory of envy over success stories post in social media. The hypotheses are that there is a difference in; (1) the level of deservingness on posting stories of success gained through high effort (KUT) with success gained through low effort (KUR), (2) the level of envy over KUT and KUR posts, and (3) there is an influence of deservingness toward envy over KUT and KUR posts. A total of 214 undergraduate students became a subject of this research. The measurement of envy (y1) and deservingness (y2) over success post (x) used the scenario method. We used MANOVA-RM as the analysis technique to explore the envy and deservingness scores on KUT and KUR. MANCOVA-RM analysis was used to determine the effect of deserving­ness to envy. The findings suggest that envy increases when subjects are exposed to KUR post because of low deservingness.  Abstrak. Studi ini menguji teori deservingness mengenai iri terhadap postingan kesuksesan di situs jejaring sosial. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah (1) terdapat perbedaan penilaian deservingness pada postingan kesuksesan pada usaha tinggi (KUT) dan kesuksesan usaha rendah (KUR), (2) terdapat perbedaan emosi iri pada postingan KUT dan KUR, dan (3) terdapat pengaruh penilaian deservingness terhadap iri pada postingan KUT dan KUR. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode skenario. Sebanyak 214 mahasiswamenjadi subjek penelitian. Pengukuran iri (y1) dan penilaian deservingness (y2) terhadap postingan kesuksesan (x) menggunakan metode skenario. Teknik analisis MANOVA-RM untuk melihat skor iri dan penilaian deservingness terhadap KUT dan KUR. Analisis MANCOVA-RM untuk melihat pengaruh penilaian deservingness terhadap iri. Hasil studi membuktikan hipotesis bahwa iri semakin meningkat ketika subjek melihat postingan KUR karena adanya penilaian deservingness yang rendah.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the description of work stress on certified teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) Y Padang City. Respondents in this study were certified teachers at MAN Y Padang City. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling as many as 66 certified teachers. The measuring instrument used in this study was made by the researcher himself referring to the measuring instrument made by Triana (2015) based on the work stress theory of Beehr and Newman (1978). The research method used is descriptive quantitative. Based on the research results obtained, certified teachers at MAN Y Padang City have low work stress. In addition, a significant difference in work stress was found by gender. Where female certified teachers have a higher level of work stress than male certified teachers.

Abstract

The number of consumer demands for Mitra's taro chips has not been fulfilled due to limited production, which is still traditional using manual equipment and because of the lack of knowledge about business planning and the lack of business development strategies through the application of the marketing mix (4P) using information technology and computers in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. 19. Therefore, Partners need process innovation in the form of modern equipment for product packaging. Paradigm changes to be able to adapt in maintaining their business by using garlic as an antioxidant as a natural preservative for taro chips, as well as knowledge of marketing applications using internet technology to meet consumer demand and reach a broader market. Besides that, it also pays attention to aspects of business legality, such as having a business license to ensure product quality and maintain customer trust. This activity aims to help partners develop their business in the snack food sector, namely taro chips that continue to grow in Tungkar Village, Situjuah District, Limo Nagari through equipment assistance and 4P marketing mix strategies these micro-businesses can survive and increase their results. Partners' theoretical benefits from this activity will be to gain knowledge about business strengthening through innovation (paradigms and processes). Practically, Partners will get business development assistance through more modern equipment for packaging taro chips that are durable and long-lasting. Partners can implement marketing strategies from the 4P aspect using internet technology to reach consumers more broadly.

Abstract

One of those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic is college students. It made the learning process that was previously carried out face-to-face became online. This condition affects the psychological well-being of college students. One of the factors that influence psychological well-being is social support. The goal of this research is to investigate the relationship between social support and the psychological well-being of college students during the COVID-19 pandemic. The method used in this research was a quantitative method with a correlational design. A total of 351 college students who attend lectures during the COVID-19 pandemic and studied in the city of Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia became a subject of this research. Measurement was carried out by adapting the scale and each scale has a reliability of .795 and .894. The results showed that social support was significantly related to the psychological well-being of college students during the COVID-19 pandemic which could be seen from the significance value of .00 (p<.05). The Pearson correlation value in the research was .668, this indicates that the relationship between social support and the psychological well-being of college students during the COVID-19 pandemic is in a strong category.

Abstract

Working in a group setting is commonly implemented in higher education as part of student-centered learning. However, the social loafing phenomenon has been reported to disrupt the performance of university students in group assignments. The current study aims to examine the influence of achievement goal orientation and cohesivity on social loafing among undergraduate students. A total of 377 undergraduate students (70.8% females) in Indonesia was recruited through cluster random sampling. All respondents answered three questionnaires, namely Social Loafing, Achievement Goal Orientation, and Cohesivity Scales. Partial Least Squares Path Modeling (PLS-PM) was used to analyze the correlations among variables that were built into the research model. The results showed that both achievement goal orientation and cohesivity had a significant negative effect on social loafing. In addition, cohesivity was reported to partially mediate the effect of achievement goal orientation on social loafing. It was also revealed that the research model was a fairly high model fit to explain the relations among variables in the study. These findings suggest that both achievement goal orientation and group cohesivity could reduce social loafing tendency during group tasks among university students.

Abstract

Mahasiswa yang berkuliah sambil bekerja merupakan fenomena yang banyak ditemui saat ini. Ketika mahasiswa memilih untuk melaksanakan peran tersebut, maka mahasiswa membutuhkan hardiness agar mempunyai sikap dan strategi yang tepat dalam menghadapi peran ganda. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat gambaran hardiness pada mahasiswa UNP yang bekerja part time. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 202 orang mahasiswa UNP yang bekerja part time. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah adaptasi skala Dispositional Resilience Scale : A Short Hardiness Scale (DRS-15) yang disebarkan melalui google form. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan hardiness yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa UNP yang bekerja part time (95.0%) berada pada kategori tinggi dan (5.0%) berada pada kategori rendah. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa UNP yang bekerja part time cenderung mempunyai sifat kepribadian yang membentuk sikap dan strategi untuk menjadi invididu lebih kuat sehingga mampu dalam menghadapi hambatan dan tantangan pada aktivitas yang dikerjakan.

Abstract

Persentase pengangguran terdidik di Indonesia meningkat secara signifikan sehingga memunculkan berbagai reaksi emosional. Pengangguran terdidik memerlukan dukungan dan bantuan dari orang-orang di lingkungan sekitarnya. Akan tetapi, belum ada ditemukan penelitian yang mengkaji terkait pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap psychological well being pada pengangguran terdidik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap psychological well-being pada pengangguran terdidik. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain korelasi sebab-akibat. Sejumlah 116 orang direkrut dengan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakanalat ukur Psychological Well-being Scale (PWBS) oleh Atikasari (2019) berdasarkan Ryff (1989) dan Social Provisions Scale oleh Cutrona dan Russell (1987). Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap psychological well-being pada pengangguran terdidik. Hasil juga menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial memiliki pengaruh sebesar 51,2% terhadap psychological well-being. Dengan demikian, semakin tinggi dukungan sosial yang diperoleh oleh pengangguran terdidik, maka semakin tinggi pula psychological well-being yang dimilikinya.

Abstract

Berbagai pembatasan yang diterapkan selama pandemi COVID-19 memberikan dampak negatif khususnya pada sisi ekonomi masyarakat Indonesia. Namun, kenyataannya ditemukan bahwa perilaku berdonasi masyarakat Indonesia meningkat selama pandemi meskipun persentase penurunan pendapatan dan PHK masyarakat meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran identitas moral pada donatur rutin di situs kitabisa.com selama pandemi COVID-19. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode wawancara yang selanjutnya di analisis dengan metode Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada tiga orang partisipan yang merupakan donatur rutin di situs kitabisa.com selama pandemi COVID-19, dengan prosedur pengambilan partisipan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menggambarkan identitas moral yang dimiliki donatur rutin situs kitabisa.com, yang ditandai dengan beberapa temuan pada ketiga partisipan. Temuan tersebut diantaranya perasaaan bersyukur dengan keadaan yang dimiliki, bisa memahami perasaan orang lain yang kesulitan, keinginan untuk bermanfaat bagi orang lain, meyakini pentingnya saling tolong-menolong, meyakini di dalam rezeki yang dimiliki ada rezeki orang lain, menyisihkan sebagian uang meski mengalami penurunan pendapatan, serta melakukan pemberian donasi secara rutin.

Abstract

This study aims to see the relationship between safety climate and occupational safety and health (OSH) for employees of the Mining and Raw Materials Management Department of PT. XYZ. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method with Spearman's Rho analysis technique. Participants in this study consisted of 100 employees of the Mining and Raw Materials Management Department of PT. XYZ was obtained using the accidental sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using the 24-item Nordic Occupational Safety Climate Questionnaire (NOSACQ-24) and the Workplace Health and Safety Instrument German (WHASI-G). The reliability on the NOSACQ-24 measuring instrument is .905 and on the WHASI-G measuring instrument is .911. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant positive relationship between safety climate and occupational safety and health (OSH). This can be seen from the significance obtained by .000 (p<.05) and the correlation coefficient value of .699.
