Abstract

The legal profession is one of the most crucial jobs for human life. The legal profession is tasked with upholding the law by which the welfare, peace of human life and justice can be realized. Realizing this, it is certainly very important to understand how the legal profession is in this era of digitalization. Because there are so many jobs that have been affected by the presence of new technologies that are developing rapidly in this modern era, such as information and communication technology, AI and so on. If something cannot adapt to the improvement of the era, it will certainly be destroyed and abandoned as obsolete, in this case, it can cause the legal profession to no longer be trusted as a justice enforcer which will certainly have a fatal consequences. Therefore, it is important for us as the authors to examine this issue to find out what the legal profession is, and how to adapt to technological developments in this digitalization era. This research is a qualitative study which the data is collected with libraric research methods and then explained in a descriptive-analytic way. The results of this study indicate that the legal profession is indeed experiencing changes in the era of digitalization, this change can be felt from the existence of jobs that are replaced by digital machines which cause changes in the work portion of legal professionals. In addition, the digitalization of the legal profession also brings new challenges to improve the quality of work of legal professionals where a person in the legal profession is required to hone intelligence and conscience sensitivity because that is how justice can be maintained in this digitalization era.

Abstract

This study examines the communication methods used by the MSME "Ayam Geprek Gondes" to maintain its brand image amid fierce competition in the culinary field. With its status as a micro-enterprise developing among students, Ayam Geprek Gondes experiences difficulties in maintaining brand image consistency and customer loyalty. The approach used in this research is qualitative, with a descriptive study method through in-depth interviews and MSME management observations. Research findings reveal that the communication methods applied include utilizing social media, promotions based on customer testimonials, and personal interactions through friendly and consistent service. Additionally, the business owner is active in building relationships with customers and maintaining product quality as a form of wordless communication. This strategy has proven effective in maintaining a positive brand image in consumers' minds. The conclusion of this study highlights the importance of integrated and authentic communication in forming and maintaining brand image, especially for MSMEs that do not have large promotional budgets. Recommendations are provided for MSMEs to continue innovating in conveying brand messages to remain relevant and competitive. This research can serve as a guide for MSME actors in creating effective and economical communication strategies.

Abstract

The dispute between the Government of Indonesia and PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara reflects a major challenge in managing foreign investment within the national mining sector. This study aims to conduct a juridical analysis of the share divestment conflict and its implications for the reform of Indonesia’s investment law. Using a normative juridical method with a statutory and case study approach, the research finds that the tension between the contract of work and national regulations has led to significant legal uncertainty. The international arbitration ruling strengthened Indonesia’s legal position, but also highlighted the need for a more consistent, transparent, and nationally aligned investment legal system. This study recommends the reformulation of investment policies and the strengthening of legal institutions to address future complexities in foreign investor relations.

Abstract

This article describes the strategies or methods of Islamic Religious Education Teachers in fostering the religious mentality of students at MAN 1 Jombang. This approach uses a qualitative approach with a type of phenomenological research. The technique in data collection is carried out using observation, interview, and documentation methods. The results of the study show that: 1) This study shows that the religious mentality of students at MAN 1 Jombang is good and will continue to develop. 2) Teacher's Strategy in Fostering Students' Religious Mentality, namely using a strategy of direct approach to students. 3) The supporting factor for the teacher's strategy in fostering the religious mentality of students is that many students are from previous madrasah graduates, so they already understand their obligation to be a student in obeying the rules of the madrasah, and as a devout Muslim in worship, the inhibiting factor is because the large number of students in the madrasah is sometimes difficult to manage them.

Abstract

Adolescence is a critical stage for identity formation and the development of social-emotional skills, including empathy. However, many adolescents today exhibit declining empathetic attitudes, which negatively affect their social relationships and moral development. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using folklore-based storytelling through animated videos and interactive image-based discussions in developing empathy among high school students. The research was conducted at SMA Plus Budi Utomo Makassar using a quasi-experimental design with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of 19 tenth-grade students divided into an experimental group (n=10) and a control group (n=9). The experimental group received three treatment sessions involving the viewing of animated folklore videos (Malin Kundang, Lutung Kasarung, and Timun Mas) and engaging in interactive discussions using illustrations of daily life scenarios. The research instruments included observation sheets and a modified Likert-scale empathy questionnaire based on Desintya Putri Rahmadanti’s (2022) instrument. Normality tests indicated normally distributed data, but homogeneity tests showed unequal variances (p<0.05), prompting the use of the non-parametric Mann-Whitney test. The results showed no statistically significant difference between the experimental and control groups (p=0.965). However, observational data revealed positive emotional responses and increased empathetic awareness among students in the experimental group. Although the statistical findings were not significant, the use of culturally relevant media through folklore storytelling effectively stimulated emotional reflection and empathetic understanding in adolescents. The study recommends the integration of culture-based learning media as a character education strategy in secondary schools.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of risk-based Online Single Submission (OSS) in realizing legal certainty for investors in Indonesia. The risk-based OSS system is a licensing innovation based on Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation and Government Regulation Number 5 of 2021, which changes the licensing paradigm from a permit-based approach to a risk-based approach. Through a normative legal approach, although designed to increase transparency, efficiency, and legal certainty, the implementation of OSS still faces challenges such as data asynchronous between the central and regional governments, institutional resistance, conflicts of authority, and gaps in regional capacity. To optimize this system, regulatory harmonization, strengthening institutional coordination, improving digital infrastructure, and mentoring for business actors, especially MSMEs, are needed. This study concludes that although not yet perfect, risk-based OSS has the potential to be a catalyst for improving the investment climate and increasing national economic competitiveness through simplifying licensing that still pays attention to aspects of security, health, and environmental protection.

Abstract

The drivers of public transportation have long working hours that demand high levels of alertness, which leads many of them to rely on energy drinks, coffee, and smoking as coping mechanisms. This study aims to describe the consumption patterns of energy drinks, coffee, and smoking habits among public transportation drivers at Ciamis Terminal. The research was conducted descriptively with a cross-sectional approach on 44 drivers selected through accidental sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using univariate analysis. The results indicate that the majority of respondents were active smokers (84.1%) and consumed coffee regularly (75%), mostly instant coffee. In contrast, the consumption of energy drinks was relatively low (13.6%). These findings suggest that these three habits have become an integral part of the daily routine of public transportation drivers.

Abstract

Workplace harmony is a crucial factor in creating a conducive and productive environment, especially in the judiciary, which demands high professionalism and integrity. This article explores workplace ethics among colleagues in the court as a fundamental basis for maintaining harmony and work effectiveness. Using a qualitative approach based on literature studies and interviews, this research finds that effective communication, mutual respect, and adherence to professional ethical codes significantly contribute to workplace harmony. The findings emphasize that implementing good work ethics can enhance efficiency, reduce conflicts, and strengthen trust and cooperation among colleagues in the judicial environment.

Abstract

This study examines Christological methodology and criteria using a qualitative approach with systematic literature review method. The research traces the development of Christological thought from the patristic era to contemporary times by analyzing primary and secondary theological sources. The analytical methods employed include content analysis to identify methodological patterns and critical analysis to evaluate theological argumentation consistency. The findings reveal that a comprehensive Christological approach must integrate historical-existential dimensions, dogmatic frameworks, and cultural contextualization. The study highlights three essential criteria: fidelity to Christian tradition, contextual relevance, and philosophical-theological coherence.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Identify the ethical behavior of Generation Z; (2) Understand the ethical degradation of Generation Z students based on the Book Maraqil ‘Ubudiyah, commentary on Bidayatul Hidayah, particularly the chapter Al-Qaul fi Adab As-Suhbah wa Al-Mu’asyarah Ma’a Al-Khaliq Azza wa Jalla wa Ma’a Al-Khalq. This research employs a qualitative approach with a library research design. Data were collected through documentation studies, using primary sources such as the Book Maraqil ‘Ubudiyah, and secondary sources including the Qur’an, classical Islamic texts, scientific journals, previous theses, articles, and other relevant documents. The data were analyzed using content analysis techniques. The findings reveal that: (1) Ethical behavior among Generation Z has shifted significantly compared to previous generations. This generation tends to perceive ethics as a form of respect for individual freedom, yet often neglects norms of politeness, respect for authority, and social responsibility. Their ethical framework is largely influenced by cultural globalization, digital technology development, and the shifting values in family and education. Although values such as tolerance, equality, and openness are still upheld, there is a noticeable decline in etiquette within social interactions, such as diminished respect for teachers, parents, and peers. (2) Based on the analysis of Maraqil ‘Ubudiyah, it is evident that there is a significant ethical degradation among Generation Z students. The book emphasizes the importance of manners toward Allah, the self, and fellow human beings, including sincerity in actions, maintaining personal dignity, humility, modesty, and polite social conduct. However, in reality, many Generation Z students are abandoning these principles, as reflected in their individualistic behavior, lack of respect for teachers, weak sense of social responsibility, and the declining spirit of brotherhood (ukhuwah) in social interactions. This degradation is primarily influenced by the pervasive impact of social media, educational models that prioritize cognitive aspects over character development, and the weak internalization of ethical values as taught in the aforementioned book.
