Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are a strategic pillar of the Indonesian economy, but face serious challenges in financial management, especially in preparing quality financial reports. Many MSMEs in Mojokerto do not understand the importance of accounting for strategic decisions and still use error-prone manual methods. This condition hinders growth and access to financing. In response to these problems, community service program in the form of intensive mentoring on the use of digital accounting technology was implemented. This activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of MSMEs in Mojokerto in managing finances efficiently and effectively. The activity method uses a pragmatic approach involving lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice with mentoring and coaching methods. Impact evaluation was conducted using a pre-test and post-test design on 10 participating MSMEs. The evaluation results showed a very significant impact: the participants' ability to prepare financial reports increased from 30% before the training to 85% afterwards. 75% of participants found the training very useful, 70% had a better understanding of basic accounting principles, and 65% were more confident in making financial decisions. It was concluded that intensive mentoring based on digital technology is effective in strengthening the financial capacity of MSMEs. A sustainable follow-up program is recommended for long-term program.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in regional economies, especially in employment absorption and creating new business opportunities. This study explores the potential of introducing Sate Jaso Mandeh, a traditional Minangkabau culinary specialty from Padang, West Sumatra, through MSMEs located in the busy Simpang Haru area. Despite its unique taste and cultural value, Sate Jaso Mandeh remains underrecognized due to limited promotion and visual branding. This research involves designing logos and promotional banners to enhance product visibility and consumer appeal. Findings indicate that effective visual communication can significantly increase customer attraction and sales volume. Challenges such as limited capital, seasonal fluctuations, and operational constraints exist but can be mitigated through digital marketing, training, and collaboration. Strengthening branding and marketing strategies is essential for sustaining and expanding the MSME’s market reach, preserving cultural heritage, and boosting local economic growth.

Abstract

Visual communication design plays a strategic role in enhancing the competitiveness of MSMEs, particularly in the area of promotion. This community service activity was carried out to support the MSME “Sempol Ayam Gadisa” in strengthening its branding through the creation of promotional media such as banners, posters, and logos. The method used was participatory and applicative, including observation, visual design development, promotional media implementation, and evaluation. The results showed an increase in product visual appeal and sales, as well as improved awareness among business owners of the importance of visual design. The colors red, maroon, and yellow were selected for their ability to stimulate appetite and attract attention, while blue was avoided. This activity proves that visual communication design can serve as a practical and effective solution in supporting MSME product marketing directly.

Abstract

This research discusses the role of graphic communication in supporting visual design for developing the Daus Kunci MSME brand identity. As a micro business actor in the field of key duplication services, Daus Kunci needs an effective visual strategy to increase its attractiveness and competitiveness in a competitive market. Through a graphic communication approach, visual elements such as logos, typography and colors are analyzed and redesigned to convey the value and unique characteristics of the product in a consistent and attractive manner. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with case studies, field observations, and direct interviews with MSME owners. The results show that implementing appropriate graphic communication can improve brand image, strengthen visual identity, and build positive consumer perceptions of products. This study confirms the important role of visual communication design as a strategic tool in the sustainable development of MSMEs.

Abstract

Strengthening character and ethics from an early age is essential in shaping a morally responsible generation. This community service activity was chosen due to the lack of character development spaces for children outside formal schools. The activity was carried out by second-semester students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, Universitas Victory Sorong, at Victory Reading Garden in Sorong City, as an implementation of the Christian Ethics and Character Education course. Through storytelling, educational games, discussions, and simulations, children were guided to understand values such as honesty, love, and responsibility. The results showed that creative and enjoyable approaches effectively increased children's understanding and participation in learning ethical values. This activity also enriched students' experiences in character building. The results affirm that character education can be effectively instilled through collaboration between higher education institutions and local communities in child-friendly, non-formal learning environments.

Abstract

The Community Service (PKM) activity carried out by the Accounting Study Program of Victory University Sorong was the second activity at the request of the Principal of SMA Negeri 2 Sorong Regency in the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education, specifically to introduce and train the use of Microsoft Excel (Spreadsheet) applications to students of SMA Negeri 2 Sorong Regency. The results of this PKM activity A total of 28 participants were selected by the school based on their interests and basic competencies in the field of taxation. During the activity, participants showed high participation and enthusiasm, both in theory and practice sessions. This activity also received full support from the school, including the principal and accompanying teachers, who helped ensure the smooth implementation. In general, this PKM activity ran smoothly. This was achieved thanks to the support of the Dean and Lecturers of Victory University Sorong, the Economics and Business Study Program and Teachers of SMA Negeri 2 Sorong Regency.
