Jurnal Imiah Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat (JIPM) merupakan jurnal pengabdian kepada masyarkat yang diterbitkan oleh CV.INDONESIA dengan Nomor Registrasi ISSN : 3026-1163 (Online). Terbit pertama kali bulan Juni 2023, dan diterbitkan 2 kali dalam setahun yaitu pada bulan (Juni dan Desember). Abstract

Introducing financial literacy from an early age is a strategic step in shaping wise financial character in children. This outreach activity was carried out at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah, Parangmalengu, Gowa by a team of students from Muhammadiyah University Makassar. The methods used included initial observations, interactive presentations, discussions, and simple evaluations. The materials covered basic concepts of money, the importance of saving, and appropriate financial management techniques for elementary school-aged children. The results of the activity demonstrated high enthusiasm among the students and improved understanding of the value of saving and money management. Evaluation was conducted through questions and short quizzes, with prizes awarded as a form of motivation. This activity demonstrated that an enjoyable educational approach can enhance financial awareness from an early age. Moving forward, similar activities are expected to continue in order to cultivate a financially resilient younger generation capable of managing their finances wisely.

Abstract

Early economic education plays an important role in shaping children's character, habits, and mindset in managing resources wisely. However, its delivery must be adapted to children's level of understanding so that basic concepts such as saving, cooperation, and distinguishing needs from wants can be grasped in a fun and meaningful way. This community service activity aimed to introduce fundamental economic concepts to elementary school students through a learning-by-playing approach. The activity was carried out by students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar at a Muhammadiyah elementary school using interactive methods including economic material delivery, educational games, prayer practice, and social action. The results showed that this approach was effective in enhancing children's understanding and interest in basic economic concepts. The participants were enthusiastic, able to comprehend the material, and demonstrated behavioral changes, such as showing more appreciation for friends and understanding the importance of saving. The school welcomed the program positively and expressed hope for its continuation. Therefore, this fun and educational approach proved successful in fostering early economic literacy while simultaneously shaping positive character traits in children.

Abstract

Children at MIS Muhammadiyah Bontolangkasa are in an important stage of development and therefore need stimulation for creativity and independence. Conventional learning methods that emphasize memorization are considered less effective in developing their potential. This PKM program aims to enhance creativity, independence, and fine motor skills through learning by playing, especially with a bracelet-making workshop. Activities include introducing basic tajwid, waqaf practice, educational games, and bracelet making as a learning medium. Methods used include colored verse cards, board games, animated videos, pocket books, and evaluation through observation and direct practice. The results show increased active participation, creativity, independence, and students’ understanding of tajwid. Teachers and parents gave positive feedback, considering this method effective in fostering enthusiasm for learning and building children’s character. The bracelet workshop also trains fine motor skills, self-confidence, problem solving, and teamwork.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) sarapan pagi di sekitar Tugu Api Simpang Haru, Kota Padang, merupakan salah satu aktivitas ekonomi yang berkontribusi pada perekonomian lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis karakteristik, potensi, dan tantangan UMKM sarapan pagi di lokasi strategis tersebut. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam dan observasi terhadap pelaku UMKM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa UMKM sarapan pagi di kawasan Tugu Api menawarkan beragam menu tradisional seperti mie goreng, nasi goreng dan mie nasi goreng dengan harga terjangkau. Lokasi yang strategis di persimpangan Jalan Dr. Soetomo, Sisingamangaraja, dan Andalas meningkatkan aksesibilitas pelanggan. Namun, tantangan seperti persaingan ketat, keterbatasan modal, dan fluktuasi harga bahan baku menjadi hambatan. Studi ini merekomendasikan pelatihan manajemen usaha dan dukungan modal dari pemerintah untuk meningkatkan daya saing UMKM. Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan identitas visual UMKM Sate Tiga Putri di Kota Padang melalui desain logo dan branding yang efektif. Pemilihan topik didasarkan pada rendahnya pemahaman pemilik UMKM terhadap pentingnya logo dan kurangnya konsistensi media promosi yang berdampak pada daya saing usaha. Metode yang digunakan adalah wawancara deskriptif dengan pendekatan partisipatif untuk menggali kebutuhan dan melibatkan pemilik dalam proses desain logo. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman pemilik tentang branding, kepuasan terhadap logo yang representatif, serta penerapan logo secara konsisten pada spanduk, kemasan, dan media sosial. Dampak positif berupa peningkatan minat dan kepercayaan pelanggan serta profesionalitas usaha. Kegiatan ini memberikan nilai tambah ekonomi dan sosial bagi UMKM serta membuka peluang pengembangan pemasaran digital. Penguatan identitas visual melalui desain logo yang efektif menjadi strategi penting untuk meningkatkan daya saing UMKM secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The utilization of jute sack waste as a base material for crafts has great potential in supporting environmentally friendly movements and increasing the economic value of the community. This research aims to explore the creativity and innovation in processing jute sack waste into storage craft products that have aesthetic value and practical functions. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation and documentation of local craftsmen involved in the production of these crafts. The research results show that the creativity of craftsmen in designing motifs, shapes, and combinations of complementary materials plays a significant role in increasing the attractiveness of the product. Innovation is also seen from the use of simple but effective processing techniques, which makes the product not only valuable in art but also has competitiveness in the market. This research concludes that the creative and innovative utilization of jute sack waste can be a solution for reducing textile waste while opening up new economic opportunities for the community.

Abstract

Visual communication plays an important role for MSMEs because it functions as the main tool in building and strengthening business branding. With good visual communication design, MSMEs can convey brand values ​​and messages effectively and easily remembered by consumers, thereby increasing competitiveness and attracting more customers. Visual elements such as logos, packaging, and consistent promotional materials help create a strong visual identity, which is a distinctive marker of MSME products in an increasingly competitive market. In addition, visual communication is also very important in the context of digital branding, especially through social media and e-commerce platforms. Visual works such as product photos and video tutorials not only display product quality, but also strengthen brand image and attract the attention of consumers more widely. This greatly helps MSMEs in increasing brand awareness and building customer loyalty in the digital era. Thus, mastering visual communication is a strategic key for MSMEs to expand the market, increase interaction with consumers, and encourage sustainable business growth

Abstract

MSMEs are the backbone of the Indonesian economy, yet many businesses have yet to fully utilize the power of visual design. This study examines the MSME Solidosol—a shoe repair and sole manufacturing service—as the target of graphic communication to strengthen its brand image. The objective of this study was to design a professional and consistent visual identity through logo design, supporting visual elements, and promotional media. The methods used included field observation, interviews, manual sketching, and design digitization using Canva. The resulting design was applied to the main logo, color palette, typography, and offline and digital promotional media. The resulting visual identity is expected to enhance Solidosol's appeal and credibility in the eyes of consumers.

Abstract

Mitra Abadi Photocopy UMKM located in the Dharma Andalas University Campus plays an important role in meeting the needs of photocopying and printing services for students, lecturers, and the surrounding community. Along with the development of digital technology, Mitra Abadi faces the challenge of increasing the visibility and accessibility of its business. One of the strategic efforts made is the development of a website as a means of promotion and online information services. This website is expected to expand market reach, make it easier for customers to obtain service information, and increase operational efficiency through online ordering features. This digitalization project is also a place for students to apply their knowledge and skills in developing technology-based businesses. With the digital transformation, Mitra Abadi is expected to be able to increase competitiveness and provide a positive contribution to the business ecosystem in the Dharma Andalas University campus environment.

Abstract

Air Manis Beach in West Sumatra is one of the region's leading tourist destinations, offering significant potential for development through sustainable ecotourism approaches. One of the popular tourist activities in the area is ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) rental operated by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). However, the branding of these ATV rental MSMEs remains suboptimal, limiting their ability to enhance tourist experiences and strengthen local identity. This study aims to formulate strategies for improving MSME branding to support sustainable ecotourism in the area. A qualitative approach was used, involving observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicate that improving service quality, establishing a consistent visual identity, implementing digital promotion with local storytelling, and fostering collaboration with tourism communities and local governments are key factors in strengthening MSME branding. A strong branding strategy not only increases business competitiveness but also contributes to environmental conservation and local community empowerment as integral aspects of sustainable ecotourism practices
