Jurnal Imiah Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat (JIPM) merupakan jurnal pengabdian kepada masyarkat yang diterbitkan oleh CV.INDONESIA dengan Nomor Registrasi ISSN : 3026-1163 (Online). Terbit pertama kali bulan Juni 2023, dan diterbitkan 2 kali dalam setahun yaitu pada bulan (Juni dan Desember). Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of participatory-based active learning strategies in improving student engagement in schools. The background of this research is based on the low level of student participation in the learning process, which tends to be passive and teacher-centered. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research subjects include teachers and students in a secondary school. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of participatory-based active learning strategies, such as group discussions, interactive questioning, and project-based learning, can significantly enhance student engagement. Students become more active in asking questions, expressing opinions, and collaborating in groups. In addition, this strategy also has a positive impact on students’ motivation and understanding of the learning material. In conclusion, the implementation of participatory-based active learning strategies is effective in creating a more dynamic learning environment and improving student engagement in schools. Therefore, teachers are encouraged to optimize the use of this strategy in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of expository strategies in improving the learning motivation of students in PAI (Islamic Religious Education) subject. The expository strategy is a teacher-centered learning approach that emphasizes the structured delivery of material, enabling students to understand concepts systematically and clearly. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method through classroom observation, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation studies. The results show that the implementation of expository strategies with a combination of explanation, question-and-answer, and reinforcement techniques is effective in increasing students’ learning motivation. Students show increased attentiveness, enthusiasm for participating, and better understanding of PAI material. It is concluded that expository strategies, when applied appropriately and interactively, can significantly improve learning motivation in PAI classrooms.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (ECE) plays a fundamental role in shaping the quality of human resources, as this stage represents a critical period for children's cognitive, social-emotional, and moral development; however, financial management in ECE institutions often faces challenges such as limited funding, non-standardized systems, and low transparency, which may affect service quality. This study aims to analyze financial management strategies and examine their effectiveness and efficiency through the integration of digital and participatory approaches in improving ECE service quality. This research employs a library research method by reviewing relevant literature, including books and scientific journal articles, with data analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach through reduction, categorization, and synthesis. The findings reveal that effective financial management is achieved through integrated managerial functions, supported by digital systems that enhance accuracy, transparency, and efficiency, as well as participatory approaches that strengthen accountability and stakeholder involvement. In conclusion, the integration of strategic, digital, and participatory financial management contributes to more adaptive, transparent, and sustainable governance in ECE institutions.

Abstract

Stunting remains a major public health issue in Indonesia, primarily caused by chronic malnutrition, inadequate maternal knowledge, and limited access to balanced nutrition. Community-based interventions, including student community service programs (KKN), have been widely recognized as effective approaches to increase public awareness and improve health behavior. This study aims to describe the implementation of a KKN program focused on stunting prevention through nutrition education for pregnant women and toddlers in Nagari Balai Panjang. The program involved health education sessions, counseling, and practical demonstrations of balanced nutrition tailored to local food resources. The results indicate an increase in participants’ knowledge and awareness regarding the importance of nutritional intake during pregnancy and early childhood. Previous studies highlight that maternal nutrition education significantly contributes to reducing stunting risk and improving child growth outcomes. In conclusion, the KKN program plays a strategic role in supporting government efforts to reduce stunting prevalence through community empowerment and education. Sustainable and collaborative approaches are needed to ensure long-term impact on maternal and child health.

Abstract

The health education activity on diabetes mellitus risk in Basirih Village aimed to improve community knowledge and awareness through counseling, leaflets, and interactive discussions. The results showed an increase in community understanding after the intervention, indicated by participants’ ability to identify risk factors, signs and symptoms, and prevention efforts for diabetes mellitus, along with a positive shift toward healthier lifestyle behaviors. The outputs of this activity include a scientific article that has been submitted to a national journal and an educational poster currently in the process of intellectual property rights (IPR) registration. The implementation was supported by village partners and local health workers through the provision of facilities and coordination assistance, although several challenges were encountered, such as limited participant attendance, varying levels of understanding, and the time required for administrative processes of the outputs. Future activities will focus on continuous mentoring, strengthening the role of community health cadres, and developing educational media to ensure sustainable and optimal behavioral changes in the community.

Abstract

The health education program on hypertension prevention in Kelayan Village aimed to improve community knowledge and awareness through counseling, interactive discussions, and educational media. Abstract

Bullying in schools remains a serious problem that impacts the psychological well-being of victims. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of anti-bullying outreach programs in improving students' understanding and attitudes toward bullying behavior at SD N 21 Lubuk Basung. This research was conducted through the Community Service Program (KKN) using an education-based persuasive approach for grade VB students at SD N 21 Lubuk Basung. The implementation method involved observation, material presentation, and discussion. Data was collected through observation, teacher interviews, and a question-and-answer session. The results showed that initially, students did not understand the meaning of bullying, examples of bullying, and the various types of bullying in the school environment. However, after the outreach program, students' understanding of bullying, examples of bullying, and the various types of bullying increased. Students also demonstrated changes in attitude, marked by the courage to report, remind each other, and reject bullying.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to foster values of togetherness and tolerance among children with disabilities through adaptive sports based on educational games. The method used is a participatory approach, involving children with disabilities in various game-based activities that have been modified according to their abilities and needs. The program was implemented in several stages, including planning, execution, and evaluation, with the involvement of facilitators and educators. The results indicate that adaptive sports based on educational games are effective in creating an inclusive and engaging environment, enhancing social interaction, and promoting mutual respect among participants. In addition, improvements were observed in self-confidence, cooperation, and motor skills of the children. Therefore, this approach is effective as a learning medium that not only focuses on physical aspects but also strengthens social values.

Abstract

This community service program aims to increase awareness and understanding among students of SMA 1 Desa Kudu Gantingregarding the dangers of early dating and free sex through comprehensive education. The activity was implemented using a descriptive qualitative approach that adopted a participatory action model, with students in grades X, XI, and XII as the main participants. Prior to implementation, the team prepared presentation materials and conducted internal discussions. On the day of the activity, participants were introduced to reproductive health concepts, the dangers of early dating, and the risks of free sex through an interactive presentation, group discussions, case simulations, and open Q&A sessions. Participants also learned to recognize signs of risky behavior and strategies for refusing peer pressure. Results showed high enthusiasm and active participation among participants. This activity successfully encouraged students to realize that every choice has consequences, and that delaying intimate relationships until the right time is a form of self-love and care for the future.

Abstract

The current evaluation paradigm in Islamic educational institutions tends to be administrative and summative in nature, resulting in limited impact on sustainable quality improvement. This study aims to analyze a holistic evaluation paradigm that integrates three main pillars: quality, accountability, and Islamic values. Using a library research method, this study examines the integration of Total Quality Management (TQM) with Islamic principles such as ishlah, itqan, ihsan, amanah, ‘adl, and hisbah. The findings reveal that the synergy of these three elements can transform evaluation into an educational, humanistic, and spiritually grounded process. This paradigm is expected to enhance transparency, public accountability, sustainable quality of Islamic education, and strengthen the formation of graduates with noble character amid the era of digital disruption.
