Abstract

Brain-based learning is synonymous with approaches that use the brain's system of function in teaching and learning activities related to daily life. The application of brain-based learning in early childhood can be done with puzzle games. This research uses literature research methods or literature studies that examine brain-based learning through puzzle games. The results of this study show that brain-based learning through puzzle games can help children in coordinating their way of thinking to connect and act using numbers, numbers, symbols, colors, shapes, patterns, children can also learn to solve a problem, train memory and concentration skills, train children's patience, increase knowledge and train fine motor coordination and emotional management of children. The application of puzzle games in early childhood is also in line with the theory of development according to Piaget, namely the stages of cognitive development of children aged 5-6 years lead to the use of symbols, children can also understand identity, understand causal relationships, and children are able to classify and understand numbers, children can express thoughts and ideas, children can freely ask questions and answers, and children can understand simple numeracy concepts.

Abstract

Finger painting is one of the learning methods applied to formal education units at Kusa Wahana Giri Kindergarten, this learning is applied because it has a very important function for the development of fine motor skills in early childhood. Many benefits are obtained in learning finger painting including finger painting as a media tool to express their art, finger painting trains children to concentrate so that as therapy for hyperactive children, finger painting has the potential for psychological health. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. Methods and techniques of data collection using observation techniques. The results of this study indicate that the results of the Visual Analysis of Finger Painting Work at Kusa Wahana Giri Kindergarten have advantages such as the lines, areas, colors, and textures produced are very varied. This can be seen in children's works such as the existence of various lines, both soft lines, curved lines, harmonious lines, and so on. Children are also able to present real textures and pseudo textures. This texture is the result of the combination of the color traces that are scratched by the children in the field. The color combination is good from warm colors, cool colors, and neutral colors. This shows that through finger painting children can explore the ability to process taste and also help children hone their motor system to become more responsive

Abstract

Both environmental influences and education in the family and society have contributed significantly to form a child’s character, including his or her discipline character. This research is a qualitative approach that was conducted by soliciting ten parent respondents. Based on data collected through observation, interviews, and supporting documents, this research agrees with mainstream research findings of Islamic education research which is to mould the child’s discipline character in order to provide provisions for his or her future life, namely (1) the child grows and develops because of the parental upbringing. Therefore, his or her character reflects the values that exist in the family. (2) Societal environments and education have assumed a second role when the child socializes with his or her peers and with a wider social environment. As a result, greater influences will affect the development of the child. The formation of good character needs to be instilled in the child to live a life and grow positively. (3) Generally, the child grows up due to the influence of stimulus from the family and peers. If the stimulus is positive, the child will grow well and vice versa. The research suggests that parents, society, and especially Islamic education should invest greatly for the development of discipline character in the child due to his or her potential grows rapidly.

Abstract

This study investigates the process of improving fine motor creativity of children aged 5-6 years through drawing activities. Drawing activities are selected based on the suitability of the needs and characteristics of children aged 5-6 years, at which age the children are still in the play and imitation phase. This research is very relevant to the field of early childhood education, this is based on this research examining the suitability of programs with needs. Therefore, this research is very important to do to determine the results of the application of drawing strategies in improving children’s creativity. This study focuses on strategies to improve children’s fine motor creativity. The process of extracting data was carried out using observation, interview, and literature study techniques. These three techniques lead researchers to come into direct contact with phenomena in the field. The data that has been collected and reduced are analyzed using constructivism theory. The data that has been analyzed is then presented in a qualitative descriptive form. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, it was found that in the strategy the teacher had taken actions that led to the habituation of the child so that the child would get used to the activity. The habit of children in participating in drawing activities will arouse children’s self-confidence to find their ways and patterns in completing their drawing tasks, from the research results it was found that not all students develop according to expectations (BSH). The habituation process is carried out by (1) inviting students to learn outside the classroom, (2) providing the material that is easy for students to understand, and (3) implementing supervision, assistance, and mentoring measures. Learning outcomes are then measured using portfolio techniques. Portfolio assessment techniques are believed to be able to measure the success rate ofchildren every day.

Abstract

Cognitive development is the basis for a child's ability to think, be creative. The ability to think of children can be seen when children can solve simple problems that, recognize colors, recognize various objects and shapes. However, many young children still cannot recognize various kinds of objects around them, recognize colors, and recognize shapes. Puzzle media is a game that compiles a picture or object that has been broken into intact image form. The dismantling of the game, makes children think so that their (cognitive) knowledge develops. Children will use their thinking power to find puzzle media pieces and arrange them into an image a form complete. Through a puzzle media based on Tri Hita Karana, it is used as of planting Hindu religious teachings be taught from an early age. Tri Hita Karana is the three causes of happiness that teach humans to build a harmonious relationship with God, fellow humans and their environment. The problems that will be discussed include : (1) How is the process of implementing learning in improving early childhood cognitive abilities through the Tri Hita Karana-based puzzle media at TK Pra Widya Dharma Belancan? (2) What are the obstacles a teacher in improving early childhood cognitive abilities through the Tri Hita Karana-based puzzle media at TK Pra Widya Dharma Belancan? (3) What are the efforts made by the teacher to overcome problems in improving early childhood cognitive abilities through the Tri Hita Karana-based puzzle media at TK Pra Widya Dharma Belancan?. The theories used to analyze the formulation of the problem are Jhon Watson's theory of behaviorism, Piaget's cognitive theory, and Lev Vygotsky's theory of constructivism. The subjects in this study were teachers, school principals, and children who attend TK Pra Widya Dharma Belancan. Methods of data collection through non-participant observation, structured interviews, document study and literature study. The collected data were analyzed by using the qualitative descriptive analysis method with data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed (1) The process of implementing the Tri Hita Karana based puzzle media in improving children's cognitive abilities is divided into two stages, namely the planning stage and the implementation stage, (2) the constraints faced by the teacher during the application process of the Tri Hita Karana based puzzle media in improving children's cognitive abilities are divided into two factors, namely internal factors and external factors, (3) the efforts made by the teacher in overcoming the obstacles of implementing Tri Hita Karana based puzzle media in improving children's cognitive abilities, namely by improving the quality of learning including making attractive media, create their puzzle media, and motivate children to learn by giving gifts and praise. Abstract

Character education is a means of preserving the morality of human life which has a very important role and function, especially for early childhood. Teachers as educators in schools have good and appropriate strategies in educating children to have values of noble character. The problems that will be discussed include what are the strategies, the obstacles faced and the efforts made by the teacher in overcoming the obstacles faced to strengthen the character of early childhood in Ratna Kumara Sari Kindergarten, Tonja Village, Denpasar? The purpose of this study is to describe the strategies used by teachers in strengthening the character of early childhood in Ratna Kumara Sari Kindergarten, Tonja Village, Denpasar. The theory used is the theory of moral intelligence from Lickona, behavioristic theory from John. B. Watson. This type of research is qualitative. The subjects of this study were the head of PAUD, homeroom teachers of group B, representatives of parents and children aged 5-6 years. The data collection methods were non-participant observation, unstructured interviews and literature. The data that has been collected was analyzed by using the descriptive qualitative analysis method with reduction steps, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the study stated that the results showed (1) the teacher's strategy in strengthening the character of early childhood in Ratna Kumara Sari Kindergarten, namely by carrying out three stages consisting of the planning stage (Designing curriculum, semester programs, RPPM and RPPH), Implementation Stage (Strengthening grades). -value children's character through learning and habituation activities that have character values) and the Evaluation Stage (Conducting an assessment of the level of achievement of children's character development through assessment instruments) (2) The obstacles faced by teachers in strengthening the character of early childhood in Ratna Kumara Sari Kindergarten, namely teachers feel less than optimal in guiding and monitoring children's development, teacher limitations in developing activities and learning media during learning from home (BDR), parents' delays in collecting documentation of children's learning outcomes and changes in behavior and decreased interest in children's learning when studying from home (3) The efforts made by the teacher to overcome the obstacles faced in strengthening the character of early childhood in Ratna Kumara Sari Kindergarten are: by utilizing technological developments as communication tools and media so that learning activities continue to run well, designing learning activities that contain character education, using learning media tools that are easily available and establishing good communication and cooperation between teachers and parents.

Abstract

Nowadays, traditional games have been abandoned by society. One of the causes is technology especially digital games has evolved rapidly. Traditional games have many benefits for children, it is: train them physically and mentally in creativity. It is a part of character building that can be started at an early stage. And some problems will be discussed, they are: (1) How is the form of the traditional game Goak Maling Taluh used to establish the children's character at TK Werdhi Kumara Punggul Badung? (2) What assessments of character education are taught through the traditional game Goak Maling Taluh at TK Werdhi Kumara Punggul Badung? (3) How is the implication of the traditional game Goak Maling Taluh against character building at TK Werdhi Kumara Punggul Badung? This research aims to examine the form, the assessment, and the implication of the traditional game Goak Maling Taluh used to build children's character at TK Werdhi Kumara Punggul Badung The theory used to analyze the problems is a structural-functional theory by Malinowski, character theory by Lickona, behavioristic theory by Gagne. The subject of this research is the children at TK Werdhi Kumara Punggul Badung. The method of collecting data is non-participant observation, semi-structured interview, literature and documentation. The data that has been collected is analyzed by qualitative descriptive method with the steps of data reduction, data presentation, conclusion/ verification. The research result shows (1) The form of traditional game Goak maling Taluh used to build children's characters at TK Werdhi Kumara Punggul Badung is classified into three stages, they are planning stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage, (2) What assessments of character education taught through traditional game Goak maling Taluh at TK Werdhi Kumara Punggul Badung, they are: religious assessment, honest assessment, tolerance assessment, hard-work assessment, discipline assessment, (3) The implications of traditional game Goak Maling Taluh against children's character building at TK Werdhi Kumara Punggul Badung, they are implication against physics, implication against attitude, implication against the knowledge

Abstract

Fine motor skills are important abilities for children to have because they are related to the coordination of the child's fingers. Fine motor development is the development of a movement that includes small muscles with eye-hand coordination. The problems that will be discussed include (1) How is the learning process carried out in children's fine motor skills through playing plasticine at Kumara Sari IV Kindergarten Sulangai? (2) What are the obstacles experienced by teachers in developing children's fine motor skills through playing with plasticine at Kumara Sari IV Kindergarten, Sulangai? (3) What is the impact of playing with plasticine on the fine motor skills of children at Kumara Sari IV Kindergarten, Sulangai? The purpose of this study is to describe the fine motor skills of children through playing with plasticine at TK Kumara Sari IV Sulangai. The theory used is the theory of constructivism from Jean Piaget, the theory of Montessori learning and the learning theory of Frederich Wilhelm Froebel. This type of qualitative research. The research subjects were class B teachers, group B students. The method of collecting data was through participant observation, structured interviews, document studies and literature studies. Data analysis is data reduction, data classification and data presentation. The results of the study say (1) the learning process is carried out through three stages, namely the planning stage, the implementation stage and the evaluation stage. (2) The obstacles experienced by teachers are the lack of teaching staff, plasticine media requires quite a lot of costs and different levels of intelligence of children. (3) Positive impacts include well-trained fingers, children can recognize shapes, train children's creativity, children can recognize numbers and letters, children can recognize colors, keep children away from gadgets. The negative impact is that the child becomes addicted to plasticine and is dangerous if swallowed by the child.

Abstract

Early childhood education is first and foremost education so learning must also be discussed because of the past early development. The importance of early education causes teachers to really choose the best learning strategy. The development of globalization requires people to have good morals in behavior and must have strong trust. Children are the nation's next-generation so development must be considered. The aspect of moral and religious development becomes very important to consider because good stimulation of moral and religious development will have a positive impact on children's behavior and belief in God. Are the issues to be discussed, among others (1) What is the learning strategy undertaken by teachers in developing the moral and religious aspects of early childhood in group B at TK Negeri Hindu Widya Kumara? (2) How is the development of the teacher in developing moral and religious aspects of early childhood in group B at TK Negeri Hindu Widya Kumara? (3) What is the development of the teacher in developing moral and religious aspects of early childhood in group B at TK Negeri Hindu Widya Kumara? The theory used is the theory of behaviorism and moral theory. This research uses qualitative research. Data collection methods are observation, interview, document study and literature study. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis methods with steps of reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed the importance of choosing appropriate learning strategies for early childhood education teachers to develop aspects of moral and religious development. In addition, it also discusses various strategies in early childhood education institutions to be able to develop aspects of moral and religious development, as well as provide various development and efforts of teachers in developing aspects of children's moral and religious development

Abstract

Learning activities are carried out in schools, of course, a teacher uses learning models that are attractive to children so that the objectives of learning can be achieved. One of the learning approach models used is the scientific approach model. The scientific approach can help develop their own language because through this approach children are able to understand, recognize various materials using a scientific approach and also understand that information can come from anywhere and anytime. The problems that will be discussed include, what is the form of application, the obstacles faced and the efforts made to overcome the obstacles in the scientific approach for language development for group B children in Ratna Kumara Sari Kindergarten, Tonja Village, North Denpasar District, Denpasar City. This study aims to analyze the form of application, the obstacles faced and the efforts made to overcome the obstacles in the scientific approach for the development of the language of group B children in Ratna Kumara Sari Kindergarten, Tonja Village, North Denpasar District, Denpasar City. The theory used to analyze the problem is: Constructivism theory, the subjects of this research are the head of PAUD, homeroom teacher of group B, representatives of parents and children aged 5-6 years, data collection methods are non-participant observation, unstructured interviews and literature. The data that has been collected was analyzed using a qualitative descriptive analysis method with reduction steps, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed (1) The application of a scientific approach in Ratna Kumara Sari Kindergarten through learning activities by developing language skills, can help children in mastering syllables and train children's courage in communicating (2) Constraints faced in the application of the scientific approach are caused by factors from the children themselves and from the surrounding environment (3) Efforts are made to overcome the obstacles faced, namely both teachers and parents must have synergistic cooperation in providing motivation and being a facilitator for the development of children's language skills.
