Abstract

The development of information technology has impacted various sectors, including education, where quick and accurate access to academic information is a critical need for students. Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN)  Raden Fatah Palembang faces challenges in delivering academic information, such as the procedure for course registration (KRS), student enrollment, class schedules, and scholarships, which are often slow and difficult to access through traditional methods. To address these issues, this research aims to develop a chatbot application based on Artificial Intelligence Markup Language (AIML) that can provide academic information automatically, quickly, in real-time, and responsively. Using the Prototype Method, this system is expected to enhance the efficiency of academic information services at Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Raden Fatah Palembang, enabling it to respond to students' inquiries quickly, in real-time, and accurately.

Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of the Design Thinking method in the UI/UX design of the SIKATAMA (Student ID Information System) website at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, aimed at addressing issues such as the difficulty in accessing physical Student ID Cards (KTM), concerns about personal data security, and the non-intuitive interfaces of other campus systems. SIKATAMA is a platform that facilitates the creation and management of digital KTM, serving as the official identity for students within the campus environment. The Design Thinking method was chosen for its user-centered approach, with the goal of improving the user experience and ease of website use, allowing students to access KTM-related information more conveniently. This study follows the five stages of Design Thinking: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The results of this research are expected to deliver a more intuitive interface and enhance student interaction and ease of use in managing KTM services digitally through the SIKATAMA website.

Abstract

Public transportation, especially Light Rail Transit (LRT), plays a vital role in supporting community mobility and economic growth. In Palembang, the LRT system is the main means of transportation that facilitates social interaction and efficient movement of goods. However, this service faces challenges such as not utilizing current technological advances or still relying on cash transactions and member cards that are vulnerable to loss, long queues at counters that cause a waste of time and limited access to real-time information.This research aims to implement the prototype method in developing a web information system to improve the service and efficiency of LRT in Palembang City. The proposed system will provide innovative features, including online ticket booking, problem reporting, and real-time train schedule tracking. The prototype method will be applied through the stages of requirements gathering, initial prototype design, user evaluation, and iterative system improvement. It is expected that the implementation of this system can increase the effectiveness of LRT services, simplify the ticket booking process, and accelerate access to information for users. This research aims to make a significant contribution in improving the quality of public transportation services in Palembang through the integration of information technology in the LRT system.

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce in Indonesia, with platforms like Lazada and Bukalapak, has made User Experience (UX) a critical factor for success. This study aims to analyze and compare the UX of both applications using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) method, which evaluates six dimensions: attractiveness, clarity, efficiency, dependability, stimulation, and novelty. A quantitative approach was applied, using a questionnaire distributed to 180 respondents aged 17-30 years. The results show that both applications received positive overall evaluations, with Lazada outperforming in terms of efficiency. These findings provide essential recommendations for developers to enhance the UX of e-commerce platforms.

Abstract

The web-based product marketing system in the photo gallery aims to increase the vision and accessibility of the products offered. The method used in developing this system is the System Development Life Cycle (SLDC), which includes planning, analysis, design, implementation and maintenance stages. This research aims to design and implement an information system that can make it easier for users to search for and obtain information related to products available in the gallery. The results of system development show significant improvements in market reach and marketing process efficiency, with users able to access product information more quickly and easily. With this system, it is hoped that the photo gallery can attract more customers and increase sales of the products offered.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and design a web-based sales information system for the Bakri Electronics Store. With the advancement of information technology and the internet, many companies have begun adopting web-based systems to facilitate their business processes. Currently, Bakri Electronics Store relies on manual transactions, requiring customers to visit the store in person. This research proposes an online sales system that allows customers to browse products, make purchases, and complete payments online, thereby expanding market reach and improving operational efficiency. The research methods used include interviews with the store owner and manager, as well as direct observations. The system is designed using the PHP platform with a MySQL database and hosted on AWS, providing real-time information on product availability, pricing, promotions, as well as payment and shipping processes. The implementation of this system is expected to enhance sales and customer convenience, while strengthening the interaction between sellers and buyers.

Abstract

Diabetes is a chronic disease caused by impaired insulin production, which causes an increase in blood sugar levels and has the potential to cause serious complications. Early detection of this disease is very important to prevent the risk of complications in patients. This research aims to implement a data mining method with the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) algorithm in the classification of diabetes, using attributes such as blood pressure, age, obesity and family history as variables. The KNN method is used to identify patterns in data that are relevant to potential diabetes, with stages of model learning and performance evaluation. The analysis results show that the KNN algorithm is able to classify data with a fairly good level of accuracy, showing its effectiveness in detecting possible diabetes in patients. The implementation of this algorithm shows potential as a supporting tool in the early diagnosis of diabetes.

Abstract

Data mining helps to make predictions and helps to provide precise and careful decisions. Classification of student graduation is an important process in the education system. By using classification methods, information can be obtained about the possibility of student graduation based on related variables. This research aims to analyze the classification of student graduation using the Decision Tree method with the RapidMiner application. The data used is student graduation data from 100 students consisting of 50 male students and 50 female students. The variables used are age, gender, grade, course, UTS, UAS, and graduation. The results showed that the Decision Tree method can be used for student graduation classification with a high accuracy of 99.00%. The most influential variables in the classification of student graduation are grades and UTS and UAS.

Abstract

This article presents the development of a digital-based business permit system using the Waterfall model, which aims to simplify and speed up the process of systematically registering business permits. Through the Waterfall model, development is carried out in sequential stages, starting from needs analysis to system implementation and maintenance. The resulting system is expected to replace slow and often inefficient manual processes, by providing a solution that is more structured, transparent and easily accessible to users. The research results show that implementing the Waterfall model is able to increase time efficiency and accuracy of the licensing process, while providing a better user experience. This digital licensing system is expected to support the growth of small and medium businesses, simplify the business legalization process, and contribute to increasing business actors' compliance with government regulations.

Abstract

This research focuses on the development of a web-based information system designed to manage queues at the service counter of the PT Pos Indonesia Bondowoso Branch. It addresses common issues such as customer confusion, delays in service processes, and potential queue violations through an innovative digital solution. The system was implemented using a Waterfall model approach within the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) framework and features automatic queue number retrieval, digital calling, live queue status updates, as well as daily and monthly queue recording functionalities.Employing technologies such as PHP, MySQL, and XAMPP, along with an interface designed in Adobe XD, this system provides a user-friendly and integrated solution. The implementation results demonstrate enhanced operational efficiency, streamlined processes, and reduced customer wait times. Overall, this system positively impacts counter services and facilitates better evaluation of service management. at the post office.
