Abstract

One of the asbābun-nuzūl rules that has caused debates among ulama is the rule "Al-`Ibrotu Bi `Umūmi Al-Lafdzi Lā Bi Khushūshi As-Sabab". The majority of Ulama are pro with these rules, while the minority of them against it. One of the great Ulama of proficient mufassir is Al-Imām Fakhruddīn Ar-Rāzī. Many of these rules he poured in his monumental creation, Tafsir Mafātih Al-Ghoīb. Abstract

All religious people yearn to live in peace in a multi-religious and belief community. However, harmony and harmony between religious communities can be realized by mutual respect for tolerance. Without tolerance, inter-religious harmony is difficult to occur. So tolerance is a condition for the realization of harmony itself. This study aims to find out about the principle of inter-religious tolerance in Surat al-Kafirun according to the interpretation of Hamka and Quraish Shihab. This type of research is library research. The method used is descriptive comparative analysis method. The approach used is a descriptive, interpretative, and comparative approach. The result of this study is that there is a common opinion between Hamka and Quraish Shihab regarding the principle of inter-religious tolerance, namely that it is impossible to combine Islam with other religions. And every religion can carry out worship according to beliefs and there is no compulsion to believe in each other's teachings. Meanwhile, the difference lies only in the delivery and the way of explaining the interpretation of each mufassir. In Hamka's commentary on al-Azhar, al-Kafirun's letter is explained more concisely and Hamka refers to the interpretations of other scholars such as Al-Qurthubi, Sheikh Muhammad Abduh, and Ibn Kathir. Whereas Quraish Shihab explains the letter al-Kafirun in the book of interpretation of al-Misbah more thoroughly, Quraish Shihab includes another verse in the Qur'an which has the same content as the letter al-Kafirun to explain further the meaning of the letter al-Kafirun, as well as in his interpretation Quraish Shihab also explains the position of the words from sura al-Kafirun to find out the different meanings of each verse.

Abstract

Filial piety is a noble duty of a child to his parents as a form of respect and affection. There are many ways to show filial piety, including good communication. Good communication is the key to portraying a child's respect and expressing affection for parents. This research is a qualitative method to analyze primary data sources, namely Tafsir al-Taysir which is then analyzed with other data in the form of previous research which is then processed in the form of descriptions. The results of the study of Surah Maryam verses 41-48 in Tafsir al-Taysir by Firanda Andirja explain that the ethics of communicating to parents in the verse is centered on verbal communication. The verbal communication ethics consist of using a good call, gentle speech (qaulan layyina), concise but clear speech (qaulan baligha), and explaining the various positive and negative effects of an action (mau'idzah).

Abstract

This research aims to find out the concept of the state is in the Islamic world, more precisely using analysis of the Maudhu'i interpretation method. The method used in this research is a descriptive-analysis technique with more emphasis on the interpretation of verses related to the theme of the country. Islam began to recognize the existence of the concept of state as a political phenomenon that emerged after the collapse of the Ottoman Caliphate in 1924. If the word state institution is searched for in the Koran, it will never appear, but there is the word state which corresponds to this term, such as the word balad, qoryah, baldah, and others. These state concepts can be found in QS. Ibrahim verse 35, QS. Yaasin verse 13, and QS. Saba verse 15. The results of this research found that there was a correlation between these verses of the Koran and the importance of an institution in a country.

Abstract

Islam and fundamentalism have become significant subjects in contemporary studies of religion and politics. The presence of fundamentalism in the context of Islam poses complex challenges, particularly in managing the relationship between tradition and contemporary realities. This research employs descriptive and thematic content analysis methods to analyze the phenomenon of Islamic fundamentalism, exploring its origins, characteristics, and impacts in social, political, and cultural contexts. Through a descriptive approach, this research provides a comprehensive overview of the phenomenon of Islamic fundamentalism from historical, doctrinal, and practical perspectives. Thematic content analysis allows for an understanding of interpretations and applications of Islamic doctrines that underpin fundamentalist movements. The findings highlight the complexity of the relationship between the rich tradition of Islam and rapidly changing contemporary contexts. While fundamentalism often claims to uphold the "purity" of tradition, this research demonstrates how rigid understandings and interpretations often conflict with the values of modernity, human rights, and pluralism. The results of this research provide deep insights into the dynamics between Islam, fundamentalism, and contemporary challenges. Their implications stimulate critical reflection on how Muslim and non-Muslim societies can respond to these challenges in ways that promote dialogue, tolerance, and mutual understanding.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to compare the hermeneutical models of Amina Wadud and Farid Esack. Hermeneutics is known as a new interpretive model used by Muslim feminist scholars, to reinterpret verses of the Koran that are interpreted textually and with gender bias. This research is qualitative research with the type of library research. Then the data collected in document form was analyzed using descriptive-comparative figures against Amina Wadud's hermeneutical model. The results of the research show that there are similarities and differences between the two hermeneutics. One of the most obvious similarities is that they both belong to philosophical hermeneutics and the objectiveist cum subjectivist school. Even though there are also differences between the two, the hermeneutic offer made by Amina Wadud and Farid Esack is an attempt jihad gender in seeking justice and freeing women from the patriarchal cultural system caused by religious interpretations that are biased against women.

Abstract

There are eight groups of zakat recipients mentioned in the Koran. Without Baitul Mal Aceh's maximum role, especially in distributing productive Zakat, what the mustahiq receive may not be used productively. Zakat education is one of the things that can be done so that zakat recipients can really understand and make good use of the assistance. Therefore, Baitul Mal Aceh in particular has a very strategic role so that the zakat funds distributed to mustahiq, especially productive zakat, can really be utilized optimally and it is even hoped that the recipients will become muzakki in the future. Zakat education for mustahiq needs to continue to receive attention, including in terms of evaluating the provision of zakat. Religious education has an important role in providing understanding and awareness so that Muslims, especially mustahiq, become people who do not waste the wealth they have. The forms of education that can be given to them include: teaching knowledge about zakat, awakening their hearts with the light of faith, providing an understanding of zakat, and instilling in their hearts that using wealth well is part of worship.
