The Journal of Community Dedication is a national journal which contains the results of community service and empowerment activities in the form of the application of various fields of science including education, engineering, agriculture, social humanities, computers and health. The Journal of Community Devation is published twice a year, namely January and July. The Journal of Community Devation contains articles on downstream research on community organizations, industry and related agencies. We hope that this journal can be used as a means of information for readers and is useful for increasing Community Service activities. Apart from that, it is hoped that this journal can provide inspiration to implementers of Community Service activities to create new innovations and creativity.

Abstract

The developesent of collections in libraries is one of the important activities shot must be implemented by all types of libraries. With the developmear of the collection, the library is able to provide collections that fit the veeds of the library and the needs of the settlers so that their information needs will be fulfilled. The Library of sclwols as an educationel tool that supports teaching and learning activifes in the school, is required to always develop their collection in order to support the needs of information on students, reachers, and school managers. This article will explain briefly about the middle school libraries/Madrasch MTS then processes and nages that are performed in the development of the collection. The oapat is expected to orchestrame jucior high Scloud libraries/Madrasah MTS urulersted unul understowed the steps in the development of the collection to meet the needs of information in the school.

Abstract

elements in shaping students' character and understanding of religious teachings. Fasting is one of the important pillars of Islam and is a form of worship that must be understood and carried out correctly by Muslims. Experience shows that many third-grade elementary school students do not fully understand the provisions of fasting in depth. With PJBL, students not only get theoretical information about fasting, but are also involved in activities that allow them to apply their knowledge in more contextual situations. This Classroom Action Research aims to determine the increase in students' understanding in teaching fasting provisions in third-grade elementary school students of 055981 Beruam by implementing the Project-Based Learning Model (PJBL). These results indicate that the Project-Based Learning Model (PJBL) Activity is able to improve students' understanding of fasting material in third-grade elementary school students of 055981 Beruam, and learning goes well because the level of students' understanding of children's fasting material also increases. This is based on the results of research conducted by researchers achieving good results with a percentage of 80% of third-grade elementary school students of 055981 Beruam increasing their understanding of fasting material. The success of learning carried out using Project Based Learning Model (PJBL) activities is also seen in student involvement and motivation activities, in participating in learning, students who carry out Project Based Learning Model (PJBL) activities total 15 people with a percentage of 100%, carry out Project Based Learning Model (PJBL) activities according to instructions total 13 people with a percentage of 86.7%, carry out Project Based Learning Model (PJBL) activities well without assistance total 13 people with a percentage of 86.7%.

Abstract

The learning outcomes achieved by students so far have not been optimal, there are many problems that are the cause, from students' interest and motivation to learn to the choice of learning methods made by teachers. One of the efforts made to improve student learning outcomes is by implementing active learning strategies based on daily life problems, namely the PBL method with puzzle media which can facilitate students being active independently or in groups to gain mutual knowledge. This classroom action research aims to find out whether there is an increase in problem solving abilities on Q.S Al-Hujurat verse 13 material through the PBL method in class IV students at SD Negeri 050773 Pangkalan Susu. The subjects of this research were class IV students in semester 1 of 2024/2025. The research results were obtained as follows: In Cycle 2, 25 students (92%) completed their studies, higher than the success indicator, namely 80% of students completed their studies. In Cycle 2, students' problem solving abilities have reached the specified success indicator, namely 80%. This is supported by changes in actions taken by teachers and students where students no longer experience difficulties as in the first cycle meeting. These two activities are in the very good category. So it is concluded that learning by implementing PBL with puzzle media is able to increase the completeness of students' problem solving in the material of Surah Al-Hujurat verse 13.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills in the subject of Peaceful Living in grade VI of SDN 054892 Lau Gelugur, Salapian District, Langkat Regency, through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. The PBL model was chosen because it can encourage students to think critically and creatively in solving problems related to the material of Peaceful Living. The research was conducted in two cycles, each of which consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of data analysis showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes, with an average score before the implementation of PBL of 70, increasing to 85 after the implementation. In addition, students' enthusiasm for learning also increased, as seen from their active participation during the learning process. The conclusion of this study indicates that the Problem-Based Learning model is effective in improving students' learning outcomes in the subject of Peaceful Living. It is hoped that the results of this study can provide a positive contribution to educators in designing more interactive and relevant learning.

Abstract

The study was intended to increase akhlakul karimah's progress at SDN 056610 payatusam through the application of method for breeding of sexual matter. The method of breeding is selected because it is believed to form positive behavior on a continuous basis. The study USES a qualitative approach with class action design, which involves teachers and students as research subjects. Data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Research shows a significant increase in learners' morale after the application of breeding methods, seen better behavior changes, discipline, and adherence to the norms taught. The application of this method thus proved effective in enhancing the akhlakul karimah of learners, who are expected to establish their character in the future.

Abstract

The current problem faced in the education sector is the low understanding of students regarding religious values and ethics. One of the efforts to address this issue is through Islamic Religious Education, which plays a crucial role in shaping students' character and instilling essential spiritual and ethical values for daily life. In the third grade of SD Negeri 054876 Cinta Dapat, students' comprehension of the meaning of Surah Al-‘Alaq has not yet reached the expected level. This Surah contains significant messages about the importance of reading and learning as forms of devotion to God. However, students' understanding of these meanings remains low, necessitating a more effective learning approach. This research aims to enhance students' understanding of Surah Al-‘Alaq through the Problem Based Learning approach. The research method employed is Classroom Action Research, conducted in two cycles involving planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data collection was carried out through observations, documentation, and written tests to assess students' understanding related to Surah Al-‘Alaq. The results indicate that the implementation of the PBL model can improve students’ comprehension of Surah Al-‘Alaq. This improvement is reflected in the increase of students achieving good and very good comprehension categories from 60% in the first cycle to 80% in the second cycle. It is concluded that PBL is effective in enhancing students' understanding of religious education material while instilling deeper ethical and scientific values. It is recommended that PBL activities be combined with more creative and engaging tasks to motivate students in their learning process

Abstract

This study aims to improve the understanding of Grade VI students at SDN 053985 Suka Damai regarding Surah Ad-Dhuha through the application of the Project-Based Learning (PBL) model. The study utilized Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The results indicated a significant improvement in students’ comprehension of the meaning of Surah Ad-Dhuha, as well as their ability to apply the values contained in the surah in their daily lives. This improvement was evidenced by the comparison of pre-cycle, Cycle I, and Cycle II results.

Abstract

The students' understanding of the prayer material at SD Negeri 050784 Limau Mungkur has not been optimal, influenced by several factors such as students' interest and motivation in learning as well as the teaching methods used by the teacher. One effort to improve students' comprehension is through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach, which encourages students to actively participate in the learning process by solving problems relevant to their daily lives. This classroom action research aims to determine whether the application of PBL can enhance the understanding of prayer material among fourth-grade students. The research subjects were fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 050784 Limau Mungkur during the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The results showed that by the end of the second cycle, students' learning mastery reached 93%, where 27 out of 29 students scored ≥ 75 (the Minimum Competency Standard). Meanwhile, 7% of students did not meet the standard with scores ≤ 75. This result met the research's success criteria, which required ≥ 80% of students to achieve scores ≥ the Minimum Competency Standard. Both teacher and student activities also showed positive results, with success rates reaching 93% for teacher activities and 94% for student activities. Both activities were categorized as very good. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning approach can improve the understanding of prayer material among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 050784 Limau Mungkur.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes on material emulating Asmaul Husna using learning videos at SD Negeri 050772 Pangkalan Susu, Langkat Regency, through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The PBL model was chosen because it can encourage students to think creatively and innovatively in solving problems related to the Asmaul Husna concept. This research was conducted in two cycles, where each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of data analysis show a significant increase in student learning outcomes, with an average value presentation before implementing the PBL model of 33.3%, increasing to 80% after implementation. Apart from that, student activity in learning has also increased, as can be seen from student participation during the learning process. The conclusion of this research shows that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is effective in improving student learning outcomes on material modeled after Asmaul Husna using learning videos. It is hoped that the results of this research can make a positive contribution to educators in designing more creative and relevant learning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes on ablution material at Rgm Besitang Kindergarten, Besitang District, Langkat Regency, through the use of learning videos. This method was chosen because it can provide direct experience to children in understanding the steps of ablution practically. This study was conducted in two cycles, each of which included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the observation showed a significant increase in students' understanding of ablution material. Before the application of the method using learning videos, the average score of students was at 65, while after the application of this method, the average score increased to 85. The conclusion of this study is that the method of using learning videos in improving students' understanding of ablution movements is very effective in improving student learning outcomes, and can be used as an alternative in the learning process at RGM BESITANG Kindergarten. It is hoped that the results of this study can be a reference for educators in designing more interesting and interactive learning strategies.
