The Journal of Community Dedication is a national journal which contains the results of community service and empowerment activities in the form of the application of various fields of science including education, engineering, agriculture, social humanities, computers and health. The Journal of Community Devation is published twice a year, namely January and July. The Journal of Community Devation contains articles on downstream research on community organizations, industry and related agencies. We hope that this journal can be used as a means of information for readers and is useful for increasing Community Service activities. Apart from that, it is hoped that this journal can provide inspiration to implementers of Community Service activities to create new innovations and creativity.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the socialization of the scout symbol. This research uses descriptive qualitative research, documentation methods. The Scout Work Unit or abbreviated as Saka is a forum for developing interests and talents for members of the Penegak and Pandega ages. In this case, Saka Bahari is a forum for coaching in the marine and water sector so that swimming ability becomes the main asset for its members. In reality, several members have not yet fulfilled their swimming skills, so swimming training has become one of Saka Bahari's routine activities in particular. The purpose of this research is to determine the supporting factors of members of the Saka Bahari Maritime Scout Work Unit

Abstract

This research aims to find out about camping. This research uses descriptive qualitative research, documentation methods. Research result . Implementation of the Holy Journey and Camp of Service (PSKB) is a spatial training and field training activity that maximizes social and spiritual values. Supporting factors for implementing PSKB activities in forming social and spiritual attitudes include: Internal factors: The presence of enthusiasm, sincerity, and comply with the existing rules in PSKB activities. External factors: Moral support from agencies, motivation provided by retired students and previous seniors who have taken part in PSKB and all participants encouraging each other. Factors inhibiting the implementation of PSKB activities in forming social and spiritual attitudes include: Internal factors: Lack of compliance with regulations, tiredness, bad words (talking dirty). External factors: Unfavorable weather and difficult permitting for the implementation location.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effect of utilizing the SMAS Nurul Amaliyah Tj school library collection. Morawa through a Resource-Based Learning (RBL) approach to student learning at the upper secondary education level. Qualitative research methods were used, involving observation, interviews and document analysis as data collection techniques. Research participants consisted of students and library staff who were selected purposively. The research results show that students actively use a variety of library resources, both print and digital, to support their learning. There are varying usage dynamics, reflecting different preferences and learning styles among students. Students' experiences and perceptions highlight the benefits of easy access to information and support in the development of information literacy skills. The role of library staff is also recognized as an important factor in facilitating the use of library collections by students. Practical implications of this research include increasing the accessibility and diversity of library collections, as well as increasing the role of library staff in supporting resource use. This research provides an in-depth understanding of the relationship between the use of library collections and student learning at SMAS Nurul Amaliyah Tj. Morawa, as well as highlighting the importance of the RBL approach in maximizing the benefits of library resources in an educational context.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain the benefits of using MIN 4 Medan's school library as a resource for learning Indonesian. The subjects of this qualitative descriptive study include students, instructors, and principals of schools in Indonesia. According to the study's findings, the school library model is used to make sure that students use the library as a learning resource to finish their tasks. This utilisation strategy seeks to influence students' reading-related attitudes and awareness. The presence of a school library, teacher and student interest, well-organized book collections, and conditional lesson plans are all supportive elements. Lack of library employees, a confusing library layout, requiring a lot of study time, and other issues are the obstacles.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the performance of UKS services that run effectively and provide UKS assistance to produce healthy students. The UKS service aims to provide a place of treatment and recovery for sick people at this school. This research was conducted on UKS coordinator supervisors and Al-Ulum Integrated Islamic Middle School students. The research method used was observing the UKS room's condition, the UKS's needs, and all the facilities in the UKS room. The interview method was carried out with the UKS coordinator, regarding his supervision, assistance, and services. The results of this research indicate that the UKS is permanent and is currently undergoing renovation. This UKS also collaborates with the Community Health Center to improve assistance and supervision of UKS work in services. Al-Ulum Middle School has two UKS consisting of special rooms for men and women. Then, in this room, there are four rooms, and each room is guarded by three people who take turns on duty every day. There are four medical equipment available in each room, and medical equipment (P3K). Al-Ulum UKS supervision and services are by school UKS standards.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of management of educational facilities and infrastructure at MTS Negeri 2 Medan. The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of management of educational facilities and infrastructure at MTs Negeri 2 Medan in the Planning, Use and Maintenance of facilities and infrastructure section. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type with research subjects including the Deputy Principal of the school in the field of facilities and infrastructure. Data collection uses interviews, observation and documentation. The data obtained was analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that: (1) Planning for educational facilities and infrastructure at MTs Negeri 2 Medan by looking at and classifying consumable and non-consumable items and planning is carried out at the start of each new lesson. So the principal, deputy principal in the field of facilities and infrastructure and administration make initial observations to see the school needs proposed by the teachers and see what needs are the most urgent. (2) One way of using facilities and infrastructure is by making a schedule for their use. For example Laboratory The IPA who makes the schedule is the head of the Laboratory IPA. (3) Maintenance of facilities and infrastructure at MTs Negeri 2 Medan, with maintenance carried out every day, cleaning classrooms, courtyards, tables, chairs and toilets. As for other treatments, if an item is damaged but the item needs to be used, it is included in emergency care. Maintaining facilities and infrastructure at MTs Negeri 2 Medan has a special expert who is given responsibility for maintaining facilities and infrastructure so that the school principal is not too burdened.

Abstract

A work program is an arrangement of work activity plans that have been designed and mutually agreed to be implemented within a certain period of time. The work program must be created in a directed manner, because it will become the organization's guide in achieving a goal. This research aims to find out what the organizational structure of the work program of SDN 060912 Medan Denai District is. The main role of the school committee can be divided into three, namely: 1. Advisory agency. The school committee provides considerations to the school principal in formulating and implementing educational policies in school. 2. Supporting agency (supporting agency) of the school committee plays a supporting role in the implementation of education in schools. 3. The school committee mediator becomes a communication bridge between the school, parents and the community. Improving the quality of school committees is an important step in advancing education in Indonesia. By improving the quality of school committees, it is hoped that school committees can contribute more optimally in improving the quality of education in schools.

Abstract

The principal's academic supervision and professional development of teachers are key factors in improving the quality of school education. The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of academic supervision and the development of the teacher profession by the principal in the school. Research shows that effective implementation of academic supervision involves open communication, constructive feedback, and continuing learning. In addition, successful teacher development requires a holistic approach, including high-quality training, mentor support, and continuous reflection. The practical implications of this study emphasize the importance of the headmaster's role as an effective learning leader in improving the quality of school education. In the performance of the teacher's academic supervision and professional development, the principal must have the appropriate skills and skills to direct and supervise teachers. They must have effective communication skills, good analytical capabilities, and good decision-making ability. Furthermore, the headmaster should also have the ability to identify the needs of teachers and students, and develop appropriate strategies to improve the quality of education. Abstract

The reading room is one of the important facilities in schools which is used to support the teachingand learning process. A calm and conducive reading room atmosphere is very important tosupport students' concentration and focus in reading and studying. This research aims to analyzethe noise level in the Library Board reading room at SMP IT Al Hijrah 2. Data was collectedthrough direct observation, interviews with librarians and students, as well as documentationanalysis. The results of the research show that the noise level in the Library Board reading roomat SMP IT Al Hijrah 2 still exceeds the comfort threshold. This is caused by several factors, suchas students talking and playing, noise from outside the room, and lack of soundproofing in theroom. Based on the research results, it is recommended to make several efforts to reduce noiselevels in the reading room, such as increasing student discipline, installing soundproofing in theroom, and providing a more conducive reading room.Keywords: Noise, Reading Room, Library.
