Abstract

Money laundering through crypto assets in Indonesia is a complex and challenging problem for law enforcement. This study aims to identify the challenges law enforcement faces against money laundering practices that utilize cryptocurrency. The research method used is qualitative analysis with a case study approach and interviews with experts in law and finance. The study results show that although there are regulations governing crypto asset transactions, money laundering practices are still rampant due to the anonymous nature and complexity of blockchain technology. Law enforcement has difficulty in tracking transactions and identifying perpetrators, especially due to the many loopholes in the law. Cooperation between government agencies and law enforcement is needed to improve the effectiveness of supervision and law enforcement against money laundering crimes using cryptocurrency. This study also recommends the need for clearer and more comprehensive regulations regarding the use of cryptocurrency in Indonesia to prevent further misuse.

Abstract

The dismissal of the President in the Indonesian constitutional system is a complex and crucial issue, especially after the amendment to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. This process involves legal and political aspects that can affect government stability. This research aims to analyze the mechanism for dismissing the President as regulated in the 1945 Constitution and the challenges faced in its implementation. The research method used is normative legal research, which examines the provisions in the 1945 Constitution and other statutory regulations. The research results show that the inconsistency between the political decisions of the People's Representative Council (DPR) and the legal decisions of the Constitutional Court (MK) is caused by normative phrases in the Constitution that provide freedom in interpretation. Therefore, better coordination is needed between the DPR, MPR, and MK to ensure a transparent and accountable process. Hopefully, this research can positively contribute to strengthening the constitutional system and law enforcement in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the impact of digital technology developments on investment and financial markets. The method used is normative legal research, with data collection through literature study. The analysis evaluated how technology, such as online trading platforms and trading algorithms, impacts investor accessibility and transaction efficiency. The research results show that technological advances have increased investor participation and market transparency, but have also created new challenges related to regulations that are not yet fully responsive to innovation. Therefore, policy changes are needed to create a safe investment environment and support innovation.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze various Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods that can be used to resolve disputes in Indonesia, as well as to understand the effectiveness and challenges faced in their implementation. The research methods used include literature studies and normative legal research. The study's results indicate that methods such as mediation and arbitration offer more flexible and efficient solutions compared to formal justice, with mediation being more suitable for disputes involving ongoing relationships, while arbitration provides a binding and final decision. In addition, E-Dispute Resolution shows great potential in increasing the accessibility and efficiency of dispute resolution, although challenges related to data security and regulations still need to be addressed. This study recommends increasing education and training on ADRs and developing regulations that support the implementation of this method in Indonesia.

Abstract

The economy in Indonesia, which is mostly contributed by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), has experienced significant challenges since the outbreak of the global pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on various sectors of life, including the economy and business. Solo City, as one of the economic centers in Central Java, cannot be separated from the challenges faced by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This article aims to explore the changes in MSMEs in Solo City in dealing with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach. The distribution of MSME areas affected by the pandemic in Surakarta is uneven. The most affected areas are areas that rely on the tourism sector, such as Laweyan, Pasar Kliwon, and Jebres. The affected areas also include areas that rely on the trade sector, such as Pasar Gede, Pasar Kembang, and Pasar Beringharjo. Recommendations for strengthening MSMEs include increased government support, entrepreneurship education, technology infrastructure development, and business collaboration.

Abstract

This research explores the potential of Lake Poso as a national Geopark area with a focus on geological heritage, biodiversity, and unique cultural diversity. The research results show that this area has significant geological evidence of the formation of Sulawesi Island, high biodiversity with endemic species, and a rich cultural heritage of the local community. The potential of Lake Poso as a National Geopark Area can protect and manage existing natural and cultural heritage, encourage sustainable economic development through tourism, and prioritize local wisdom and environmental sustainability. Even though there are obstacles such as limited understanding of the Geopark concept and accessibility, high public awareness and government support can overcome these challenges. The potential of Lake Poso as a National Geopark Area promises protection and preservation of natural and cultural heritage, providing economic and social benefits, as well as educating visitors about Indonesia's natural and cultural riches.

Abstract

The research focused on developing the Sembra River tourist attraction in Srer Village, South Sorong Regency. The Sembra River is a natural tourist attraction with clear and clean water that is bluish in color and lush trees that provide comfort and tranquility for tourists. To develop this attraction, public facilities such as supporting transportation, souvenirs, food, snacks, accommodation, and security are being developed. Community involvement is also important. Collaboration between the regional rights community and the government was built to improve the community's mindset and carry out the promotion of the Sembra River Tourism Object. Promotion is carried out through global social media, local government websites, and direct outreach to the community and regional guests to attract tourists.

Abstract

This research focuses on handling flood disasters, the role of the government and BPBD in handling them, and the role of the community in handling them. The research method used is qualitative. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis includes reduction, display, and verification. The research results show that the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) plays an important role in overcoming the risk of flood disasters in Bahu Village. The role of this institution includes handling disasters quickly and appropriately, coordinating with related agencies, and supporting each other. Cooperation between the government and the community is well established, and the community participates in education and outreach to create early awareness. The role of the community is very important in handling flood disasters because the community is the victim and must cooperate well with the government and related agencies in emergency response and prevention. Good cooperation will equip the community with knowledge about dealing with floods so that they can anticipate and overcome disasters that threaten people's lives.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the Indonesia-Philippine border area on Miangas Island and analyze the Implementation of Border Area Development Policy on Miangas Island, Talaud Islands Regency, North Sulawesi Province. This article uses a qualitative descriptive research method with primary data obtained through interviews and Focus Group Disccussion and secondary data obtained through literature. This article uses a welfare approach through Welfare State theory and Geoeconomic concepts to analyze the implementation of border area management policies on Miangas Island which focuses on the government's role in efforts to improve the welfare of the people on Miangas Island.

Abstract

This research aims to examine Indonesia's defense strategy implemented through the construction of the Entikong National Border Post (PLBN), focusing on analysis from a geostrategy perspective. The research method used in this research is a qualitative analysis method, with data collection through literature study and analysis of official documents as well as interviews with the Head of the Entikong PLBN Management Division. This approach provides a comprehensive perspective on Indonesia's defense strategy in border areas. The research results show that the construction of the Cross-Border Post in Entikong is in line with Indonesia's national defense strategy which focuses on regional cooperation and resource management in border areas. In a geostrategic perspective, this research also highlights the importance of Entikong's geographical position as a strategic point that influences national defense. The defense strategy implemented through the Entikong Cross Border Post reflects adaptation to geopolitical dynamics in the region. This research contributes to further understanding of the implementation of Indonesia's defense strategy in a geostrategy context and can be a basis for the government and stakeholders to develop and improve national defense strategies in the future, especially in facing the changing geopolitical dynamics in this region
