Abstract

This study explores the potential for a hybrid laundry service to address the unique challenges faced by the area’s predominantly student population. With students juggling academic and extracurricular commitments, the demand for convenient, reliable, and affordable laundry services remains unmet by existing providers, which are often criticized for delays, inconsistent quality, and limited accessibility. Through surveys, interviews, and the application of strategic frameworks such as the Segmenting-Targeting-Positioning (STP) model, Value Proposition Canvas, and Porter’s Five Forces, this research identifies key functional needs, such as affordability and speed, alongside emotional preferences like reliability and personalization. The findings highlight a significant market opportunity for a hybrid laundry service that integrates conventional full-service options with self-service facilities to offer flexibility, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, a phased marketing strategy encompassing awareness, consideration, and conversion is proposed to effectively engage and retain the student demographic. This study concludes that a strategically designed and marketed hybrid laundry service can bridge gaps in affordability and quality, delivering a sustainable and impactful solution for the Jatinangor market.

Abstract

The early retirement policy of the Pelabuhan Ratu Steam Power Plant (PLTU) with a capacity of 3x350 MW is one of the strategic steps in supporting Indonesia's energy transition towards a low-carbon energy system. This research uses a multi-level governance framework to analyze the roles of various actors, levels of government, and relationships between stakeholders in the formulation of this policy. With a qualitative method approach, this research combines bibliometric analysis to map the development of global literature related to early retirement PLTU and comparative case studies of similar policies in other countries. The results identify key challenges, such as regulation, financing, and governance transparency, as well as key success factors, including community engagement and international support. The study also examines the impact of policy implementation on power sector decarbonization, air quality, and greenhouse gas emission reduction. The research findings provide recommendations to improve the effectiveness of energy transition policies in Indonesia, while contributing to the achievement of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) targets and transformation towards a sustainable energy system. This research is expected to be a practical reference for the government, PT PLN, investors, and international organizations in promoting a more inclusive and integrated energy transition.

Abstract

This study explores operational risk management in the context of homestays, a rapidly growing segment of the tourism industry. Specifically, the research aims to identify key operational risk management indicators tailored for homestays, focusing on homestay users in Nglanggeran Tourism Village, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A total of 156 respondents, all with prior experience in the area, participated in the study, which employed multi-stage sampling and triangulated data collection methods. The research utilized an explanatory design, with data analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). To complement the quantitative findings, in-depth interviews were conducted with homestay managers and participants. The study investigated three primary variables: operational risk management, user satisfaction, and user loyalty. The results show that effective operational risk management has a positive and significant impact on user satisfaction. Furthermore, user satisfaction is a key driver of user loyalty, as satisfied users are more likely to revisit and recommend the homestay to others. This study provides valuable insights into the role of operational risk management in enhancing user experience and fostering long-term customer loyalty in the homestay sector.

Abstract

DKI Jakarta is one of the pioneers in implementing the programme. In fact, the Governor of DKI Jakarta passed a special regulation for this program, which is contained in Governor Regulation Number 32 of 2019 concerning Revitalisation of Vocational High Schools. Therefore, this study aims to analyse the implementation of good governance principles in the implementation of the Vocational High School Revitalisation program by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. The research method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The theory of good governance is the analytical framework in this research. The data collection technique was conducted using a literature study of several literatures, such as journal articles, online news, and official government publications. Data were analysed using three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings of this study show that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has well implemented the principles of transparency as well as the principles of effectiveness and efficiency in the implementation of the DKI Jakarta Vocational Revitalisation program. Meanwhile, the principle of participation has been fulfilled quite well. The principles of accountability and fairness cannot be assessed further. This is due to the lack of progressive reports from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government regarding the implementation of Revitalisation of Vocational Schools. However, based on the available data, the principle of justice has been implemented quite well. In contrast to the principle of accountability, which seems to be less considered by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

Abstract

Law Number 5 of 1960 concerning the Basic Agrarian Law (UUPA) in Article 19 mandates the implementation of land registration with the aim of providing legal certainty and protection. The research method used is normative juridical with an analytical approach, with a descriptive analytical specification. Normatively (das-sollen), the provisions regulated in the legislation always state that the purpose of land registration is to achieve legal certainty through the issuance of certificates. Empirically (das-sein), the reality in practice shows that land conflicts are cross-sectoral issues, where each sector has its own rules that overlap with one another. This correlates with differences in perceptions and relations between the parties involved in the agrarian conflict itself. The research findings show that the court's decision in resolving land conflicts with evidence of Village Certificates / Land Certificates is as follows: In practice, it turns out that obtaining a certificate is not as easy as the ideal condition it should be. Constraints such as distance from the administrative center, untidy and overlapping records, difficulties in field verification facilities, and various other obstacles make obtaining a certificate not a simple task. Village Certificates (SKD)/Land Certificates (SKT) are factually easier to obtain because they only require the authority of the village and records available at the village head's office. SKD/SKT is actually a supporting document and not a primary document, but in court, this document can serve as valid evidence of land ownership rights, replacing the primary certificate due to the significant role of the judge.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in enhancing community economies, especially in the digital era. This article examines MSME actors in batik handicrafts in the Giriloyo area of Yogyakarta and weaving craftsmen in the Baduy area of Banten. The Indonesian government's development programs aim to empower MSMEs in tourist villages, fostering independence and community participation while preserving cultural heritage. Despite being in rural areas, these artisans have successfully promoted their products globally through communication technology. The research highlights the socio-cultural backgrounds of these communities, enriching findings on communication patterns and MSME sector empowerment. Employing a qualitative approach, data was gathered through observation, interviews, documentation, and focus group discussions. The analysis reveals that MSME actors primarily develop participatory communication networks to enhance marketing strategies for batik and woven products. Key findings include increased community engagement, expanded partnerships, fostered dialogical interactions, direct sales growth, and enhanced social media promotion. The research contributes to the theory of participatory communication in the digital era, marketing communication models, and MSME empowerment strategies. Practical implications suggest effective communication network development and business communication enhancement for MSMEs.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to conduct a thorough literature review to identify the primary factors influencing entrepreneurial intention based on Planned Behavior Theory. By analyzing cognitive, social, and environmental dimensions, this study explores how these elements collectively shape an individual’s intention to pursue entrepreneurship. The review underscores the critical role of self-efficacy, where individuals' belief in their capabilities significantly impacts their entrepreneurial drive. Social influences, such as peer support, cultural norms, and family encouragement, further shape entrepreneurial intentions. Additionally, educational attainment plays a crucial role in providing individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify business opportunities and manage risks effectively. Economic conditions, including market stability and access to funding, also act as external factors that either promote or hinder entrepreneurial pursuits. This study not only consolidates existing research but also identifies gaps in the current literature, particularly the need for cross-cultural studies and deeper analyses of how emerging technologies influence entrepreneurial behavior. The findings contribute to a more nuanced understanding of entrepreneurship intention and provide insights for policymakers, educators, and aspiring entrepreneurs. Future research should focus on longitudinal studies and the impact of evolving economic landscapes to develop more comprehensive strategies that foster entrepreneurship.
