Abstract

The skincare industry is currently experiencing rapid growth, in line with increasing public awareness of the importance of skincare. Every brand implements various marketing strategies to attract consumers, one of which is the Word of Mouth (WOM) strategy. This study examines the phenomenon of the increasing number of skincare products on the market and various research results on the effectiveness of WOM in building consumer loyalty, particularly within beauty communities such as EGGA in Cirebon. Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyze the strategies implemented by Emina in its efforts to acquire, retain, and build relationships with consumers within the EGGA community. The approach used in this study is based on the theory of Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC), which emphasizes the importance of integrated marketing communication in building brand image and customer loyalty. The main indicators analyzed are the contribution of WOM in attracting new consumers (getting), maintaining their loyalty (keeping), and strengthening long-term relationships with customers (building). The research findings indicate that the strategies implemented by Emina in the EGGA Cirebon community are effective in increasing brand awareness, strengthening customer loyalty, and forming an active community of users who share positive experiences. Thus, it can be concluded that WOM is an effective marketing strategy for expanding market reach and increasing consumer engagement in the increasingly competitive skincare industry.

Abstract

The development of transportation infrastructure plays a pivotal role in supporting regional economic growth, particularly in areas undergoing rapid industrial and residential expansion. This study aims to conduct a comparative analysis between rigid pavement (concrete) and flexible pavement (asphalt) in terms of cost efficiency and implementation time on the Kedamean Sidoraharjo Randegan road section in Gresik Regency, East Java. The region’s strategic position, reinforced by the operation of the Krian Legundi Bunder Manyar (KLBM) toll road, has significantly increased traffic flow, thereby creating an urgent need for durable and sustainable road infrastructure. This research employs a quantitative descriptive approach by integrating traffic projections (Average Daily Traffic or LHR) for the 20th and 40th year horizons, CESAL calculations (Cumulative Equivalent Standard Axle Load), and pavement structure design using the MDPJ 2017 method for flexible pavement and Pd T-14-2003 for rigid pavement. Additionally, cost estimations are based on regional unit prices issued by the Gresik Regency Public Works Department. Findings indicate that although flexible pavement offers shorter construction time and lower initial costs, rigid pavement proves more cost-effective in the long run due to its durability and lower maintenance needs. The study also highlights that utilizing existing pavement layers can reduce construction costs by up to 10%, aligning with sustainable infrastructure practices. The results are expected to serve as a practical guideline for civil engineering practitioners and local governments in making strategic decisions regarding pavement type selection based on traffic intensity, budget availability, and long-term development goals.

Abstract

This research presents a comparative analysis of the cost and construction time between flexible and rigid pavement structures on the Siwalanpanji-Kemiri road section in Sidoarjo Regency, East Java, Indonesia. The area is undergoing a functional shift from rural to industrial, necessitating durable infrastructure to accommodate increasing heavy vehicle traffic. Using the 2024 Indonesian Pavement Design Manual (MDPJ), the research evaluates the technical and economic viability of both pavement types over 20-year and 40-year service lives. Key parameters include Average Daily Traffic (ADT) projections, Cumulative Equivalent Single Axle Load (CESAL), and subgrade strength derived from Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) tests. These inputs inform pavement thickness designs and cost estimates based on local unit prices (HSPK). Findings reveal that flexible pavement offers faster construction (9 days vs. 39–49 days for rigid) but incurs 38% higher long-term costs due to frequent maintenance. Rigid pavement, despite longer initial construction time, proves more economical over 40 years, with lower maintenance needs and superior durability under heavy loads. Cost analysis shows rigid pavement saves up to IDR 3.5 billion compared to flexible alternatives over four decades. The study also highlights the sustainability benefits of reusing existing materials, aligning with environmental goals. These results provide actionable insights for the Sidoarjo Public Works Agency, emphasizing rigid pavement as the optimal choice for industrializing corridors. The research underscores the importance of life-cycle cost analysis and context-specific design in infrastructure planning, offering a model for similar regions facing rapid urbanization and traffic growth.

Abstract

The construction of criminal sanctions for money laundering (TPPU) in Indonesia is still a classic problem that has not been successful. The dependence on proof of the original crime in the criminal process is often the main obstacle in its enforcement. This is compounded by the weakness of legal norms related to the process of confiscating assets resulting from money laundering. Data from the 2021 PPATK National Risk Assessment (NRA) report, the estimated value of the proceeds of crime reached IDR 44,200,000,000,000 (forty-four trillion two hundred billion rupiah) and has not been confiscated by the state. The results of the PPATK analysis also stated that the length of the TPPU criminal justice process was a factor. The procedure for criminalizing money laundering only focuses on fulfilling the elements of the crime while the object of the crime has always not received attention and has not been a special consideration as the main door to arresting the perpetrators of the crime even though there are indications of improper acquisition of assets. In Australia and America, the TPPU criminal process uses a combined criminal and civil system, namely through the in rem lawsuit method in the NCB concept which can be the main door in enforcing TPPU. The use of the in rem method in enforcing TPPU does not only focus on the purpose of "asset confiscation" but also finding the perpetrators of the crime. So in this study the author reconstructs the expansion of the criminal punishment for money laundering (TPPU) which will be determined through NCB Asset Forfeiture and In Personam. Using the normative juridical method to analyze the concept of the approach to expanding the punishment of money laundering through NCB Asset Forfeiture and in personam in doctrine, theory, rules and concepts, as well as a comparative study of its application within the framework of the Theory of Justice, Theory of Asset Confiscation and Alternative Punishment Theory. So it can be concluded that the reconstruction of the expansion of TPPU criminalization through NCB asset forfeiture and In personam is an alternative TPPU criminalization that can be implemented considering that the current positive legal provisions cannot accommodate the actions of criminals who continue to enjoy the proceeds of crime, which greatly injures the sense of justice for victims and/or the state, even though we have ratified the UNCAC since 2003. For the sake of achieving justice (gerechtgkeit) and the realization of laws that provide certainty (rechtssicherheit) and benefits (zweckmassigkeit).

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have a strategic role in encouraging economic growth and job creation. However, MSMEs still face challenges related to entrepreneurial competence, access to financing, digital literacy, business legality, and market competition, as reflected by Indonesia's low entrepreneurship ratio at the global level. The government plays a crucial role as an enabler in overcoming this problem through the development of an entrepreneurial ecosystem. Jakpreneur, as an initiative of the Jakarta Provincial Government, is designed to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Jakarta with a collaborative and integrated approach through seven integrated services (P1-P7). This article aims to analyze the role of Jakpreneur at the meso level in developing the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Jakarta using a qualitative literature study approach. The results show that Jakpreneur systematically supports each domain of the entrepreneurial ecosystem to act as an architect and facilitator of an adaptive and comprehensive ecosystem.

Abstract

Electronic ID cards (e-KTPs) issued since 2011 or 2012 remain valid for life, even after they expire. Electronic ID cards (e-KTPs) do not need to be renewed, as they remain valid for life even after they expire. However, in practice, some banks and financial institutions still refuse to accept lifetime ID cards as a requirement for credit. This research uses both normative and empirical juridical methods to describe the issues surrounding legal awareness regarding expired e-KTPs following the issuance of Circular Letter No. 470/296/SJ concerning Electronic ID Cards (e-KTPs) with lifetime validity. In accordance with legal studies, the approach used is problem-based. To strengthen the analysis and complement secondary data, field research will be conducted to obtain primary data. The data obtained will then be presented in descriptive and conceptual form. ACC Finance as the party providing the credit guarantee will reject the customer's credit if the completeness of the credit requirements uses an expired Electronic KTP but is valid for life for fear that the customer's citizenship is unclear and is already a company provision even though based on Law Number 24 of 2013 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2006 concerning Population Administration, specifically Article 64 paragraph (7) letter a, Circular of the Minister of Home Affairs No. 470/296/SJ which states that an expired Electronic KTP is still valid and does not need to be extended because the validity period of the Electronic KTP is for life. Based on the background that has been presented, there are several problems that can be identified as follows: legal analysis of the rejection of a lifetime Electronic KTP by a credit guarantee institution as a credit requirement? and What are the legal remedies for the rejection of a lifetime E-KTP as a credit requirement by a credit guarantee institution?

Abstract

The drainage system in Malang City currently relies on the Sengkaling Kiri irrigation network to discharge urban drainage water. However, the existing channel capacity is insufficient to accommodate the increasing water flow during rainfall events due to channel narrowing and sedimentation. This limitation has resulted in frequent waterlogging and localized flooding, particularly around Jl. Soekarno Hatta, Jl. Ahmad Yani, and Jl. Lt. Gen. Sutoyo. This research aims to evaluate the performance of the current drainage system, identify the primary causes of flooding, and propose effective solutions to reduce inundation in these critical areas. The study employs a descriptive and analytical approach, combining field surveys, hydrological data collection, and hydraulic modeling to assess the channel’s capacity and identify critical points of overflow. The findings reveal that the current Sengkaling Kiri irrigation network has experienced significant sedimentation and reduced cross-sectional area, leading to a capacity deficit during peak discharge events. Proposed solutions include channel widening, sediment removal, and the construction of alternative drainage routes, such as diverting part of the flow directly from the Sengkaling Kiri network to the nearest Sungai Brantas. These interventions are expected to significantly reduce waterlogging and improve flood management in the affected areas. The implications of this study highlight the importance of regular maintenance, capacity upgrades, and the integration of urban drainage systems with natural waterways to ensure long-term flood resilience in rapidly developing urban areas.

Abstract

The number of active workers who register as BPJS Employment participants is still relatively low. This shows that the use of resources owned by branch offices has not been optimal in an effort to achieve the set targets. This study aims to analyze the efficiency of branch offices in the DKI Jakarta area using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method with a production approach, which is then followed by Tobit regression analysis to identify the factors that affect the efficiency level. The results of the study show that there is a variation in the level of efficiency between branch offices within the DKI Jakarta Regional Office during the period 2019 to 2023. During the five-year observation period, branch offices with a 3A classification were recorded to have the highest level of efficiency compared to other categories. Tobit's regression analysis revealed that the type of branch office had a significant negative effect on the level of efficiency. On the other hand, the variable in the number of claim cases actually shows a significant positive influence on efficiency. The formulation of recommendations based on the results of the analysis includes appreciation of best practices, adjustment of branch office types, digitization of JHT Claims, and management of employee mutation systems.
