Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital financial literacy on the prudent use of Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) services among the 2022–2024 cohorts of Economic Education students at Siliwangi University. This research is motivated by the rapid growth of BNPL usage among the younger generation, which is frequently unaccompanied by a sufficient understanding of financial risks, thereby potentially leading to consumptive behavior and bad debt. This study employed a quantitative survey method involving 205 students selected via purposive sampling, with data collected through questionnaires. The results of the simple linear regression analysis yielded the equation y^​=11.505+0.791X, indicating that higher digital financial literacy corresponds to more prudent use of BNPL services. These findings confirm a positive and significant influence of digital financial literacy on the prudent use of BNPL and underscore the importance of enhancing digital financial literacy to foster healthier financial behaviors among students.

Abstract

The underlying issue addressed in this study is the difficulty students face in developing business ideas, which is attributed to a lack of skills acquired through entrepreneurship courses and practical training. This study aims to determine the influence of entrepreneurship education on business idea development among Class of 2023 students in the Department of Economic Education at Siliwangi University, Tasikmalaya. This study employed a survey method with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling, specifically saturation sampling, involving a total of 138 respondents. Data were collected using questionnaires, and the data analysis technique employed was simple linear regression analysis. The results of the simple linear regression test yielded the equation Y=55.412+0.621X. With a significance value (Sig.) of 0.000, which is less than 0.05, the findings indicate a positive and significant influence of entrepreneurship education on the business idea development of Class of 2023 students in the Department of Economic Education at Siliwangi University, Tasikmalaya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principle of i’ānah as the ethical foundation for transactions within Islamic banking, utilizing a qualitative approach grounded in literature review and thematic analysis. The principle of i’ānah is conceptualized as the value of mutual assistance, serving as the moral cornerstone for all Islamic economic activities. By employing a qualitative methodology with a library research design and thematic analysis, this research conducts an in-depth examination of i’ānah as the ethical basis for Islamic banking transactions. The findings indicate that i’ānah functions not merely as an ethical guideline but also as a philosophical framework that reinforces the social orientation and justice inherent in Islamic banking transactions. An analysis of various classical and contemporary literature, alongside regulatory documents, demonstrates that integrating i’ānah values into Islamic banking products, services, and governance can enhance ethical compliance, strengthen accountability, and bolster institutional reputation. This study emphasizes the strategic urgency of implementing i’ānah values to fortify moral legitimacy and promote public benefit (maslahah) within Islamic financial practices. These findings pave the way for future research concerning the empirical measurement of i’ānah values regarding institutional behavior and customer perception.

Abstract

League of Legends (LoL) is a competitive online game characterized by dynamic player performance that fluctuates over time. This study aims to analyze the convergence behavior of the average performance sequence of LoL players using the concept of limits within Real Analysis. Data were collected from a third-party performance tracking platform (OP.GG) through purposive sampling, comprising cumulative win rates of multiple players over up to 100 matches each. Each player’s progress was represented as a real-number sequence illustrating win rate evolution relative to the number of matches, while the aggregate average formed a cross-player sequence. The analysis involved sequence visualization, limit testing, and determining the supremum and infimum to assess performance stability. The results indicate that most individual sequences tend to converge toward specific limit values, reflecting performance stabilization after a certain number of matches. The aggregated average sequence also exhibits convergence, with decreasing variance as the number of matches increases. Thus, the application of limit and convergence concepts to LoL performance data demonstrates a mathematical phenomenon of stabilization and highlights the practical relevance of Real Analysis to empirical data in the field of esports.

Abstract

This article examines the analysis of the element of gharar (uncertainty or ambiguity) in wakalah bil ujrah contracts within Sharia bancassurance products, with a focus on the PRUsyariah case study. As one of the primary contracts in the Sharia bancassurance scheme, wakalah bil ujrah demands a high level of transparency to avoid transaction practices containing gharar. This study aims to identify potential forms of gharar, assess their categories—whether they constitute gharar fahisy (major uncertainty) or gharar yasir (minor uncertainty)—and evaluate their compliance with muamalah principles and DSN-MUI fatwas. The research employs a normative juridical method through literature review, analysis of PRUsyariah policy documents, and comparison with classical fiqh provisions and DSN fatwas regarding wakalah bil ujrah contracts in the Sharia insurance industry. The results indicate that although the structure of the PRUsyariah contract generally complies with Sharia provisions, there are several potential instances of gharar that must be anticipated, particularly regarding the transparency of benefits, fees, and investment mechanisms. With proper mitigation, potential gharar fahisy can be prevented, ensuring the contract remains valid and product operations proceed according to the principles of fairness and transparency in Sharia economics.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) play a strategic role in driving local economic growth and improving community welfare. This study aims to analyze the conditions, challenges, and development strategies of UMKM in Kiru-Kiru Village, Soppeng Riaja District, Barru Regency in 2025. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach supported by quantitative data. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and distributing questionnaires to UMKM actors. The obtained data were analyzed descriptively and thematically. The results indicate that UMKM in Kiru-Kiru Village are dominated by family-based micro-enterprises with limited production capacity and high dependency on the local market. The main obstacles faced include capital limitations and lack of access to formal financing, low managerial skills, and minimal utilization of digital marketing. Furthermore, guidance from the government and local institutions remains incidental and has not been followed by continuous mentoring. Nevertheless, UMKM in Kiru-Kiru Village possess significant development potential through human resource capacity building, the utilization of digital technology, and institutional strengthening of business groups or UMKM clusters.

Abstract

Anxiety is a significant psychological issue in the dynamics of human life, particularly during the emerging adulthood phase, which is vulnerable to quarter-life crises. This study aims to explore Quranic solutions for overcoming anxiety through a thematic study of the concepts of al-huzn (sadness) and al-khauf (fear). The method employed is descriptive qualitative with a content analysis approach to Quranic verses and scholars' interpretations, including the Sufistic perspective of Imam Al-Qushayri. The results indicate that the Quran views anxiety as part of human nature (fitrah) rooted in human cognitive limitations regarding the future and potential spiritual emptiness. The curative solutions offered by the Quran include moral reconstruction (akhlak), the implementation of patience (sabr) as a form of active resilience, and the establishment of prayer (salah) as a means of spiritual catharsis. A key finding in this study confirms that achieving ma'rifatullah (gnosis/knowledge of Allah) is the primary instrument in transforming destructive fear into tranquility of the soul (tuma'ninah). This study concludes that the integration of Quranic psycho-spiritual values can serve as a solution-oriented argumentative basis for individuals in facing the complexities of modern challenges.

Abstract

The phenomenon of normalizing pre-marital relationships among Muslim youth, including dating practices and "Friends with Benefits" (FWB), has shifted moral boundaries and obscured religious values. This study aims to analyze the Quran’s holistic response to this phenomenon through a thematic exegesis (tafsir maudhu'i) approach. Employing a qualitative library research method, this study compiles and analyzes core verses regarding zina (adultery/fornication), commencing with Q.S. Al-Isra’: 32, along with its network of supporting verses (Q.S. An-Nur: 2-3, 30-31; Q.S. Al-Furqan: 68). The results indicate that the Quran constructs a comprehensive social ethical system to address zina, consisting of three layers: (1) Preventive Measures through the prohibition of "approaching zina" and guarding one’s gaze; (2) Legal Consequences in the form of clear sanctions serving as a deterrent effect; and (3) Socio-Psychological Solutions through the strengthening of piety (taqwa) and self-control. This thematic synthesis reveals that contemporary issues, such as the public display of relationships on social media and the normalization of FWB, are modern manifestations of "approaching zina" against which warnings have been issued. The study concludes that an educational approach based on a comprehensive understanding of the Quran is more effective in building the moral resilience of Muslim youth in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on firm value with Corporate Governance (CG) as a mediating variable within manufacturing companies in emerging markets. The manufacturing sector was selected due to its significant environmental impact and high regulatory pressure. Using panel data from 2020 to 2024, this study applies path analysis assisted by statistical software. The results indicate that CSR has a direct positive influence on firm value. Furthermore, it was found that strong corporate governance mechanisms significantly mediate this relationship, demonstrating that governance transparency enhances the credibility of CSR reporting in the eyes of investors.

Abstract

The increasing demand for electrical energy, along with economic growth and regional development, requires power systems to have a high level of reliability. One of the common problems in power systems is the overload condition on power transformers, particularly during load transfers caused by faults or network maneuvers. If left unaddressed, overload conditions can cause excessive temperature rise, accelerate insulation degradation, and potentially lead to widespread blackouts. Therefore, a protection scheme in the form of overload shedding is necessary to maintain system continuity and reliability. This research aims to analyze overload shedding scenarios during load transfers at the 150 kV Cilawu Substation. The analysis was conducted to determine the condition of the power transformer under normal conditions, during fault conditions, and throughout the manual overload shedding process based on a load selection scheme. The research methods used include literature study, substation system data collection, network modeling, as well as load and load shedding simulations using ETAP 19.0.1 software and script-based MATLAB. The analysis focuses on static loading conditions without discussing transient effects and dynamic system stability. The results show that the implementation of the overload shedding scheme is capable of reducing the power transformer loading to within safe limits, thereby preventing transformer tripping and wider blackouts. Furthermore, proper load selection during the load shedding process plays a crucial role in maintaining the electricity supply to priority loads. Thus, the overload shedding scheme can be utilized as an operational strategy to improve power system reliability at the 150 kV Cilawu Substation.
