Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to implement an interactive learning application based on Construct 2 for introducing the solar system at SMP Negeri 2 Jiput. The application is designed to enhance students' understanding of the solar system through engaging and interactive visual approaches. The methods used in this activity include teacher training, application installation on school devices, and monitoring during the learning process. The expected outcomes are increased student interest and a deeper understanding of solar system concepts. This program is expected to positively impact the effectiveness of learning and promote the integration of information technology in the educational process.

Abstract

This community service initiative seeks to support the implementation of a village service application system based on the Laravel framework in Sukacai Village, Jiput District, Pandeglang Regency. The system is intended to improve the efficiency and transparency of village administrative processes by digitizing them. The methods involve training local staff, installing the application, and providing ongoing monitoring during the implementation phase. The desired outcomes include a system that enables village officials to manage public services more effectively, leading to faster, more reliable services for the community. In addition, this project emphasizes capacity building to ensure that village officials not only use the system but can maintain it independently in the long term. By improving digital literacy among village staff and fostering a more tech-savvy environment, the system's sustainability and adaptability are expected to benefit the community at large. Through these efforts, the overall goal is to create a model for other rural areas to follow in improving public services with technology.

Abstract

This activity aims to introduce simple technologies in fish processing, including the production of smoked fish, canned fish, fish floss, and fish crackers, as well as to provide students with an understanding of the benefits of fish and its processing technologies as a form of education in the field of processed fishery resources. The methods used include interactive lectures, video screenings about the fish processing process, and tests given to students to assess their level of understanding. The results of this activity show a significant increase in students' knowledge, especially in recognizing the nutritional benefits of fish and its processing methods. Based on the pre-test and post-test, there was an increase in students' understanding of over 50% on the topic of fish processing technology. The edutainment approach implemented successfully built students' enthusiasm and motivation to learn, as evidenced by their active participation during the activities. The awarding of prizes to outstanding students also supports their interest in studying this topic. This activity is expected to be a first step in introducing students to a deep understanding of the beneficial and sustainable processing of local resources from an early age.

Abstract

One of the important language skills is writing skills. This skill is important because by writing someone can express their ideas or feelings. Wadas Kelir Creative House (RKWK), Karangklesem, South Purwokerto, is a community organization that houses highly creative teenagers with various lessons that focus on literacy. One of the activity units at RKWK is the Wadas Kelir writing school unit. This activity was carried out using a group achievement theory approach which consists of member input, mediating variables, group output and outcome achievements. The output of news writing articles is by the news writing structure which consists of headline, dateline, lead, body. Then, the news has important characteristics which are news characteristics, including timeliness, impact, prominence, proximity, singularity, conflict or controversy. Furthermore, types of news can include hard news (straight news) and soft news types (feature, dept news, investigation news, and opinion new).

Abstract

The introduction of currency to elementary school students is an important step in equipping them with the financial literacy skills needed for everyday life. This activity aims to provide a deeper understanding of the value of money, buying and selling transactions, and the arithmetic skills required for financial management. The community service activity (PkM) was carried out in March 2024 at SDN Bujel 3, Kediri City, with 43 student participants. The method used was Participatory Action Research with a socio-drama buying and selling strategy, which allowed students to directly interact with the concept of money in a fun and realistic situation. Through this game, students could learn to count and negotiate. The evaluation of the activity was conducted through the analysis of pre-test and post-test scores using Non-parametric Statistical Test, the Wilcoxon Test, due to the data not being normally distributed. The results showed a significant improvement in students' financial literacy skills, particularly in understanding the value of money, arithmetic skills, and managing buying and selling transactions. Students also showed improvement in social skills, such as interacting with peers in a buying and selling context. This activity proves that the participatory method, which combines socio-drama buying and selling, can be an effective tool in improving financial literacy in elementary school students. Additionally, this activity contributes positively to the development of life skills that are useful in everyday life.
