Abstract

Background: Scabies is a highly contagious ectoparasitic skin infestation caused by Sarcoptes scabiei var. hominis. With a global prevalence of 204 million, scabies poses a remarkable burden on both infected individuals and on the healthcare system regardless of the socioeconomic standard of the respective country. Methods: This systematic review focused on full-text English literature published between 2014 and 2024 using the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Result: Five publications were found to be directly related to our ongoing systematic examination after a rigorous three-level screening approach. Subsequently, a comprehensive analysis of the complete text was conducted, and additional scrutiny was given to these articles. Conclusion: Topical treatment with permethrin cream (5%) is considered as the gold standard, leading to a cure in most of the cases.

Abstract

Background:Placenta previa increases the risk of postpartum hemorrhage, leading to maternal deaths. Risk factors include advanced maternal age, multiparity, smoking, and cesarean section. Traditional treatments include hemostatic balloons, surgical sutures, and uterine artery embolization. Methods: Using PRISMA 2020 criteria, this systematic review focused on full-text English literature published between 2014 and 2024. Without a DOI, editorials and review pieces published in the same publication as the submission were rejected. The literature was compiled using various internet databases, including PubMed, ScienceDirect, and SagePub. Result: Following a thorough three-level screening process, seven publications were identified as being closely related to our current comprehensive study. Following that, the entire content was thoroughly reviewed, and these articles were subjected to extra scrutiny. Conclusion: The Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology recommends interventional treatment for placenta previa patients at high risk of hemorrhage, including balloon occlusion, to reduce bleeding, shorten operation time, and reduce postoperative complications.

Abstract

Background: Consistent aspirin usage is linked to a lower incidence of HCC in both the general population and certain populations that are at higher risk for the disease. Aspirin may also lessen the chance of HCC recurrence. Methods: This systematic review focused on full-text English literature published between 2014 and 2024 using the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Editorials and review pieces published in the same  journal as the submission without a DOI were not accepted. The literature was compiled using PubMed, ScienceDirect, and SagePub, among other online venues. Result: Five publications were found to be directly related to our ongoing systematic examination after a rigorous three-level screening approach. Subsequently, a comprehensive analysis of the complete text was conducted, and additional scrutiny was given to these articles. Conclusion: The use of aspirin has been linked to a significant, duration-dependent reduction in the risk of incident HCC. Therefore, to determine the clinical effectiveness and safety of aspirin usage for HCC chemoprophylaxis, it is imperative to conduct randomised placebo-controlled studies in well-phenotyped groups.

Abstract

Background: One issue that arises from chronic malnutrition during the first 1000 days of life is childhood stunting. The World Health Organization (WHO) reported that in 2020, 22% of children under the age of five worldwide were stunted. Result: We compiled a total of 8 papers, 4 of which came from PubMed, 1 of which came from SAGEPUB and 1 of which came from SCIENCE DIRECT. We included eight research that met the criteria. Conclusion: In summary, research to develop a diagnostic system for child stunting can be pursued further. To begin with, many researchers have opted to use the forward chaining approach while doing research that involves developing diagnostic systems

Abstract

Background: According to the World Health Organization’s (WHO) 2017 estimate, there were 18 million prevalent cases of syphilis worldwide. Syphilis was a significant public health problem before the antibiotic era and remained so to date, particularly with the increase in the magnitude of acquired immunodeficiency virus. Conclusion: The epidemiology of syphilis indicates that the magnitude of syphilis has increased in selected high-income population groups, while the disease has remained endemic in low and middle-income countries.

Abstract

Background: Leprosy, also known as Hansen's disease, is a chronic infectious-contagious disease known to humankind since ancient times. It is characterized by predominant involvement of skin and peripheral nerves, caused by the Mycobacterium leprae (M. Leprae). Methods: This systematic review focused on full-text English literature published between 2014 and 2024 using the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Editorials and review pieces published in the same journal as the submission without a DOI were not accepted. Result: Five publications were found to be directly related to our ongoing systematic examination after a rigorous three-level screening approach. Subsequently, a comprehensive analysis of the complete text was conducted, and additional scrutiny was given to these articles. Conclusion: The endemic regions of leprosy required strong commitments at both the national and international levels for leading to proper and accessible healthcare systems, improved sanitation and hygiene, well-maintained contact surveillance, and proper and timely delivery of treatment for those in need.

Abstract

Background: Preeclampsia, a maternal health condition, has a significant impact on 10% of pregnancies. Risk factors gestational hypertension, and chronic hypertension increase the risk of preeclampsia, leading to stroke, cardiovascular death, and long-term hypertension for both mother and fetus. Methods: Following PRISMA 2020 guidelines, this systematic review concentrated on full-text English literature published between 2014 and 2024. The literature was assembled using a variety of online databases, including ScienceDirect, PubMed, and SagePub. Result: Following a rigorous three-stage screening procedure, six papers were found to have relevant links to our current extensive inquiry. Conclusion: Pregnancy is a critical time, and preeclampsia, associated with high prevalence, significantly impacts pregnancy outcomes. Factors like obstetric history, maternal illnesses, and hypertension disease can lead to unfavorable outcomes. Preventative measures, lifestyle changes, and optimalization of vitamin D can reduce risk of preeclampsia.

Abstract

Background: CHD affects millions of newborns worldwide, causing neurodevelopmental abnormalities. Early interventions, such as medications, can protect the brain and prevent complications. However, little is known about the effects of CHD on neurodevelopmental outcomes in newborns following open-heart surgery. Methods: This systematic review, which followed PRISMA 2020 guidelines, concentrated on full-text English literature that was released between 2014 and 2024. The literature was gathered utilizing a variety of online resources, such as ScienceDirect, PubMed, and SagePub. Result: After a detailed screening process including three levels, five papers were found to have relevant links to our current comprehensive study. After that, these pieces were given additional attention, and the entire text was carefully examined. Conclusion: Early intervention in infants with CHD significantly improves outcomes, focusing on neurodevelopment and quality of life, despite challenges in determining motor outcomes.
