Aims and Scope Psychological Journal: Science and Practice (PJSP) is a scientific journal published by the Psychology Masters Program Directorate of Postgraduate Programs (DPPs), University of Muhammadiyah Malang. PJSP is a new face that continues Jurnal Sains dan Praktik Psikologi, which was published starting in 2013. PJSP is published two times a year May and October. Published in printed and electronic form. Articles can be complete research reports and brief reports. Scope Psychological Journal: Science and Practice (PJSP) is an open access scientific journal that specifically publishes research and practice reports in other fields of psychology. Orientasi masa depan pendidikan merupakan hal yang penting dalam menentukan karir di masa depan. Apabila tidak dikelola dengan baik, maka dapat mengakibatkan kesulitan dalam mengambil keputusan tentang apa yang akan dipilih di masa depan. Gaya pengasuhan yang diterapkan orang tua dan self-esteem memiliki peranan penting dalam membentuk orientasi masa depan pendidikan remaja. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pola asuh demokratis dengan orientasi masa depan pendidikan yang dimediasi oleh self-esteem. Subjek terdiri dari 172 remaja SMA berusia 14-20 tahun dan tinggal dengan kedua orang tua. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah accidental sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ), State Self-Esteem Scale, dan Skala Orientasi Masa Depan Pendidikan. Analisis mediasi dilakukan melalui Process Model 4 dari Hayes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self-esteem memediasi secara parsial hubungan antara pola asuh demokratis dengan orientasi masa depan siswa (r = 0.543).

Kepuasan kerja merupakan perasaan positif pada suatu pekerjaan, yang merupakan dampak atau hasil evaluasi dari berbagai aspek pekerjaan tersebut. Grit merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja. Individu dengan grit yang tinggi akan mencapai kepuasan kerja. Grit dapat meningkatkan work-life balance, WLB yang baik akan memperoleh kepuasan kerja yang tinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan pengaruh grit terhadap kepuasan kerja yang terjadi baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung dengan dimediasi oleh work-life balance. Subjek adalah ASN di Aceh dengan usia 20 – 60 tahun dan lama kerja minimal 2 tahun. Data diukur menggunakan skala kepuasan kerja, Grit scale (Grit-s), Work-Life Balance Scale. Analisis mediasi dilakukan melalui Process Model 4 dari Hayes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh grit terhadap kepuasan kerja terjadi secara langsung (β = 0.636; p <0.001), maupun tidak langsung dengan dimediasi oleh work-life balance (β = 0.246, LLCI = 0.064, ULCI = 0.124). Selanjutnya, terdapat pengaruh positif yang signifikan antara grit dengan work-life balance (β = 0.685; p < 0.001) dan Work-life balance mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja (β = 0.359; < 0.001).

Dunia pendidikan akan membawa siswa menemukan tugas – tugas baru yang harus diselesaikan. Sehingga untuk menyelesaikan tugas siswa membutuhkan efikasi diri yang kuat. Karakter tersebut dapat ditingkatkan. salah satunya dengan permainan tradisional yang memiliki nilai efikasi diri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh permainan tradisional “congklak lidi dan sumbar suru” terhadap efikasi diri siswa sekolah dasar. Jumlah subjek sebanyak 27 siswa sekolah dasar dengan teknik purposive sampling. penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi-eksperimen, dengan desain mixed design (between subject design & within subject design). Penelitian ini menggunakan skala efikasi diri dan menggunakan analisa paired sample t-test. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan kelompok eksperimen 1 (p=0,009; p=0,009; p < 0,05) & kelompok eksperimen 2 (p=0,013; p=0,013; p < 0,05) dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol (p=0,830; p=1.000 p > 0,05) setelah diberikan perlakuan. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh permainan tradisional “congklak lidi” dan “sumbar suru” terhadap peningkatan efikasi diri siswa sekolah dasar.

Pendapatan rata-rata dibawah UMR/UMK, lingkungan kerja yang kurang kondusif, tekanan pekerjaan, konflik di tempat kerja termasuk ketidaksopanan di tempat kerja adalah contoh faktor yang mempengaruhi produktivitas. Perbuatan tidak sopan di tempat kerja cukup menganggu produktivitas dan kinerja pegawai. Jika keadaan dibiarkan terus-menerus justru dikhawatirkan akan mengganggu produktivitas dan kinerja. Namun, dalam situasi tertentu, perilaku tidak sopan di tempat kerja tidak mempengaruhi kinerja pegawai. Keadaan ini membutuhkan pembuktian lebih lanjut dan mencari faktor apa yang mungkin memoderasinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan hubungan workplace incivility dengan job performance dengan dimoderasi oleh self-efficacy dari sudut pandang empiris. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan model ex post facto dimana subjek penelitian dianggap pernah menjadi korb an perilaku tidak sopan di tempat kerja. Subjek penelitian adalah pegawai yang bekerja pada pelayanan terutama pelayanan kesehatan yang berjumlah 106 sampel dengan metode accidental sampling. Instrumen pengumpul data pada penelitian ini adalah Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ), Indonesian Workplace Incivility Scale (IWIS) serta General Self Efficacy Scale (GSE). Metode analisis data adalah Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). Hasil analisis memperlihatkan bahwa hubungan antara workplace incivility dengan job performance secara signifikan dimoderasi oleh variabel self-efficacy.

Academic achievement is an important component in education as a condition for knowing how much competent person. Like student athletes who are carrying out their education at a university, they carry out training tasks as an athlete and study as a student so that there are stereotypes about success and academic failure. This study aimed to determine the effect of mental toughness on academic achievement of student athlete, knowing the effect of goal orientation on student athlete academic achievement, and also determine whether there is an interaction between mental toughness and goal orientation. Number of subjects in the study 113 student athletes. The instruments used were the Mental Toughness Index and Achievement Goals Scales. The results showed that goal orientation was related to academic achievement (β = 0.004; r = 0.043), mental toughness had no effect on academic achievement (β = -0.005; r = 0.057), and was not found the interaction between mental toughness and goal orientation in predicting academic achievement (β = 0.000; r = 0.061).

Academic procrastination is the behavior of procrastinating, doing, or completing academic assignments. Academicprocrastination among students can result in academic failure, not even dropping out of classes. This research aimed to determine the influence of Internet addiction and the future perspective on academic procrastination among students. This research was quantitative research with junior high school student research subjects. The measurement tool used is the Young Internet Addiction Diagnostic Questionnaire, the are Procrastination Scale, and the Future Time Perspective for Adolescents and Young Adults. Analysis data using multiple linear regression analysis. This research obtained the coefficient of determination (R² ) at 0.426 and F Sig. 0.000¡0.050. From the results of the t-test, it was found that there was a significant positive effect between addictions internet with academic procrastination with a value of t = 5.641, and there is a significant negative effect between future perspective and academic procrastination with a value of t = -11.543. The beta value in the absolute price for Internet addiction is 0.262, and the beta value for the future time perspective is 0.536, so it can be concluded that the coming time perspective has more influence on academic procrastination.

Prosocial behavior provides satisfaction and well-being for individuals. Prosocial behavior is related to great compassion. Individuals with high compassion have a sense of responsibility for the well-being of others to behave prosocially. The need for cognition moderates the influence. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of compassion on prosocial behavior moderated by cognition needs. Research subjects as many as 232 students aged 15-18 years. The research instrument used the Compassion Subscale of the Dispositional Positive Emotion Scale (DPES-CS), the Prosocialness Scale for Adults (PSA), the Need for Cognition Scale (NCS-6), Data was analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis. The results showed that the positive influence and significantly decreased compassion towards prosocial behavior moderated by cognition needs (β = -0.072; p = 0.017). The contribution of compassion to prosocial behavior is moderated by the need for cognition, which was equal to 64.7

The sudden onset of a pandemic created a global crisis. To deal with crises is necessary to have the ability to deal with stress and adaptation in mothers who are being confirmed with Covid-19 to achieve resilience. One is by writing about their experience when they were infected on social media. Focus on the problems deep in this study, were resilience and expressive writing. The aim of this study is to reveal the resilience experiences of mothers when infected with Covid-19 who write about their condition on social media during the treatment period. The approach used is qualitative research to reveal a subjective meaning. The qualitative approach used is Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). The research subjects are five mothers who wrote about their experiences when they were infected with Covid-19 on social media during their treatment period. Subject selection was carried out by purposive sampling technique. The five subjects wrote down their experiences during the series infected with Covid-19 to the recovery stage in the range of mid-December 2020 to the end of March 2021. The research was carried out from September 2022- October 2022 using the results of interviews and deep qualitative documents in the form of writing on the subject’s social media that was uploaded when infected with Covid-19. The data obtained were then analyzed and categorized into themes. The results of this study indicate that the five subjects have three sources of resilience, namely, I can, I have, and I am, which are seen in each phase towards resilience.

Every person in various regions has different values of social and emotional aspects in life. Background Children’s culture has an important role in contributing to these differences in values. Attitudes and behavior of children throughout their life span and development are also determined by the culture in which they grow up. These cultural values can see in the various tribes in Indonesia, including the Javanese (andhap ansor ), Bugis-Makassar (siri) and Papua (the tendency is more on emotional expression). This study aims to see differences in social abilities of the Javanese, Bugis-Makassar, and Papuan tribes in the social-emotional aspects of children that focus on social awareness, responsible decision-making, and relationship skills. The results of the data analysis show that there are different aspects socio-emotional competence of children in the Javanese, Bugis-Makassar, and Papuan ethnic groups.

Parents of children with special needs (CSNs) have a unique responsibility to care for and assist in the development of their children. It often leads to psychological adjustments. This study aimed to find empirical evidence of how parents of CSNs with low education and socioeconomic status experience positive psychological adjustments to their CSN. The study used triangulation methods, including focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, and observations, involving seven parents of CSNs. Through an intentional data reduction process, three main themes emerged regarding the manifestation of psychological adjustment in parents of CSNs. These themes are (a) acceptance of the CSN's condition, (b) resilience in parenting CSNs, and (c) anxiety about the CSN's future. The study found that accompanying the growth and development of children with special needs is not an easy journey. Furthermore, parents of CSNs with low education and economic status were delayed in receiving certainty from doctors regarding their child's 'special condition.' However, the parents in this study exhibited positive psychological adaptability. They were able to develop acceptance and resilience and successfully reduce anxiety through patience and faith in Allah SWT.
