Aims and Scope Psychological Journal: Science and Practice (PJSP) is a scientific journal published by the Psychology Masters Program Directorate of Postgraduate Programs (DPPs), University of Muhammadiyah Malang. PJSP is a new face that continues Jurnal Sains dan Praktik Psikologi, which was published starting in 2013. PJSP is published two times a year May and October. Published in printed and electronic form. Articles can be complete research reports and brief reports. Scope Psychological Journal: Science and Practice (PJSP) is an open access scientific journal that specifically publishes research and practice reports in other fields of psychology. Adolescence is marked by many changes so that adolescents will face difficult and challenging situations. The ability to adapt to difficult situations affects the development and psychological well-being of adolescents. Resilience is an individual’s ability to adapt to adversity and challenges. This study aims to examine the role of self-esteem in mediating the effect of authoritative parenting on resilience. The sampling technique in this study used accidental sampling using a web survey Google Form. Participants were 160 teenagers, aged 12 to 18 years. The instruments used were the Parenting Style Scale Index (PSI), Resilience Scale 14 (RS-14) and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES). The results showed that self-esteem mediates the effect of authoritative parenting on adolescent resilience.

The purpose of this study was to determine the experience of the students during online learning. The subjectsconsisted of 10 students who were running online learning with an age range of 18-25 years. The method used is asemi-structured interview with a qualitative phenomenological approach. The results show that the subject quicklyfeels emotional changes (mood swings) during online learning. Sometimes the subjects become more sensitive totheir families at home, when they are tired they express negative emotions by crying, and get angry when there areno ideas when doing the assignments. Some of these things cause individuals to feel pressured with the collegeassignments, so they experience academic burnout.

The widespread prevalence of the Covid-19 pandemic has affected academics and parents alike. Due to the sudden closure of schools, students are missing out on social interactions that are essential for learning while most schools have started distance learning. It has become a tough routine for the parents working online at home as they have to ensure the education of their children. This research is descriptive qualitative research using a phenomenological approach to explore the experiences of parents who have children with special needs in accompanying distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. A total of 15 subjects who have children with special needs attending SLBN Pembina Malang were selected as resource persons for interviews in person (online interview). Four themes emerged from the results of data collection: (1) obstacles faced by parents; (2) the support provided by the school; (3) strategies used by parents to support learning; (4) expectations of future parents. The results of this study can be used as a reference and recommendation for educators and policymakers in the implementation of further distance learning.

The Congklak Lidi is a traditional game that has high values in building children’s character. The good values in this game is to build an honest attitude. Among the various traditional games that have been researched, found that the traditional Congklak Lidi has values that could stimulate children’s honesty. The purpose of this study was to determine does the game of Congklak Lidi could increase honesty in children. The research was experimental design with pretest-posttest control group. The research subjects were elementary school students in Dau (a sub-district in Malang). The research instrument used an attitude of honesty scale and was completed with interviews and observations. The data were analyzed by using t-test. The results of the study showed that the game of Congklak Lidi with the BERLIAN method significant increase the attitude of honesty in children. The honesty attitude occurs in aspect of cognitive, aspect of conative, and aspect of affective.

Sindrom cinderella complex adalah kondisi psikologis dimana perempuan mengalami ketakutan untuk mandiri dancenderung bergantung pada oranglain, biasanya pada laki-laki. Sindrom cinderella complex ini terjadi akibat pola asuhorangtua terutama pola asuh authoritarian (pola asuh otoriter) dimana segala keputusan perempuan ditentukan olehorangtua. Sindrom ini menjadikan perempuan memiliki self-esteem (harga diri) yang rendah. Penelitian ini dilakukanpada 359 partisipan perempuan usia remaja akhir dan dewasa awal untuk melihat bagaimana pola asuh authoritarianmempengaruhi kecenderungan sindrom cinderella complex dan pengaruhnya terhadap self-esteem. Ditemukan bahwapola asuh authoritarian memiliki pengaruh terhadap sindrom cinderella complex perempuan bila dimediasi self-esteem.

Social media has grown rapidly giving an impact on academic activities. Fear of missing out (FoMO) is a phenomenon that develops due to the use of social media, which is thought to be a contributor to academics. This study aims to determinethe effect of FoMO on academic procrastination by considering the role of the trait of self-control. 116 participants filledout online questionnaires to measure the Academic Procrastination Scale (APS), Brief Self-control Scale (SCS), and Fear of Missing Out Scales (FoMOS). Data analysis was carried out using the moderating regression method, showing that the trait of self-control significantly moderated the effect of FoMO on academic procrastination. This study implies that the self-control trait can be used as a reference in reducing the level of academic procrastination.

This study aims to determine the effect of work-life balance on job satisfaction by mediating affective commitment. This research was conducted on employees at service companies. The subjects of this study were 101 people who were examined and selected as samples. Data collection in this study used a work-life balance scale, generic job satisfaction scale, and affective commitment scale. The analysis technique used is linear regression technique and PROCESSby Hayes. The mediation model shows that work life balance has an effect on affective commitment (a = 0.628, p < 0.000) and affective commitment has an effect on job satisfaction (b = 0.459, p< 0.000). Path c shows a significant effect between work-life balance and job satisfaction (=0.494, p < 0.000). while path c’ shows (=0.288, p < 0.000) which means that affective commitment mediates the effect of work-life balance on job satisfaction with partial mediation.

FoMO terkait dengan sejumlah implikasi negatif dan tampaknya mempengaruhi populasi yang lebih muda jauh lebihnyata daripada individu yang lebih tua. Individu-individu yang lebih muda ini berada pada tahap perkembangan dimana mereka bereksperimen dengan, atau bergulat dengan diri sendiri kemampuan FoMO untuk mengambil akaryang kuat bukanlah suatu kebetulan mengingat hasil penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hubungan antara tingkatkeberhargaan diri dan kesadaran diri dengan FoMO. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitaif. Hasil yangdidapatkan adalah peranan tidak langsung self-esteem terhadap fear of missing out didapatkan nilai indirect effect =-.504 lebih kecil dibanding dengan peranan langsung dengan nilai direct effect = -.456, dilihat dari hasil tersebut dapatdisimpulkan bahwa mindfulness memiliki mediasi yang tidak sempurna anatara self-esteem dengan fear of missing out.

Wabah dan penyebaran virus corona (COVID-19) telah menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat global. Orang dewasa muda menghadapi perubahan dan tantangan hidup yang signifikan selama pandemi COVID-19 karena berbagai perubahan dunia kerja, proses mencari pekerjaan, mengejar pendidikan tinggi, dan mengambil tanggung jawab sosial yang baru. Secara keseluruhan, dukungan sosial yang dirasakan adalah prediktor signifikan dari kepuasan hidup dan pengaruh negatif. Di antara lima ciri-ciri kepribadian, ekstraversion dan neurotisisme terbukti memiliki hubungan yang konsisten dengan gejala depresi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti hubungan social support dengan gejala depresi dimoderasi oleh kepribadian neurotisisme pada orang yang sedang menjalani karantina COVID-19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode moderasional analisis. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner online, dimana kuesioner yang digunakan adalah CES-D, Neuroticism BFI, dan MSPSS. Subjek penelitian ini sebanyak 62 subjek yang sedang menjalani karantina COVID-19. Hasil penelitian ini adalah kepribadian neurotisisme mampu mempengaruhi hubungan antara social support dengan gejala depresi pada orang yang sedang menjalani karantina COVID-19

Creative industry workers in the architectural sector are required to always provide creative and innovative ideas and thoughts in their work. In this regard, it is important to increase employee creativity for creative industry workers in the architectural sector. The existence of employee creativity is influenced by the existence of core self-evaluation (CSE) owned by individuals and knowledge sharing in work. The purpose of this study was to analyze knowledge sharing as amediator of the effect of CSE on employee creativity. This study uses a quantitative research approach with purposive sampling data collection techniques. The subjects of this research are the creative industry workers in the architectural sector. The research subjects were 107 people, while the research subjects consisted of 75% men and 25% women with an age range between 20-25 years as much as 77% and 26-30 years as much as 23%. Data collection uses the Employee Creativity Scale (ECS) to measure the employee creativity variable, the Core Self-Evaluation Scale (CSES) to measure the core self-evaluation variable, and the Knowledge Sharing Scale (KSS) to measure the knowledge sharing variable. Analysis of the data in the study using the mediation analysis Process Macro Analysis. The results show that knowledge sharing partially mediates the effect of CSE on employee creativity, where when employees have a high level of CSE and apply knowledge sharing in their work, it will increase employee creativity.
