Abstract

This study aims to analyze the communication terms contained in the Qur'an. The term is presented denotatively and connotatively. The denotative categories that will be presented include: Qâulan Baligha (QS. An-Nisa': 63), Qâulan Layyina (QS. Thaha: 44), Qâulan Ma'rufa (QS. Al-Baqarah: 235; QS. An-Nisa' : 5 & 8; QS. Al Ahzab: 32), Qâulan Maisura (QS. Al-Isra': 28), Qâulan Karima (QS. Al-Isra': 23). While the terms of communication that fall into the category of connotative understanding include the following; Mau'idhah (An-Nisa': 66), Da'wah: (An- Nahl: 125; Yusuf: 108), Nashihah (al-A'raf: 21, 62, 68, 79), Tausiyah (al-Ashr : 3). In this study the authors used a qualitative descriptive method through literature review. The results of this study indicate that all the communication terms offered by the Al-Qur'an are ways of communication that must be mastered by educators so that in learning activities communication is carried out with words that make an impression on the heart, say softly, say kindly and firmly, say what is appropriate, glorify those invited to communicate, able to provide teaching when speaking (beneficial for the listener), there is advice contained in the words, invites kindness and advises one another. This study provides an in-depth understanding of communication terms in the Quran, identifies their denotative and connotative categories, and presents the application of Islamic communication principles in the learning process. The results are expected to serve as a basis for educators and teachers in implementing effective communication based on Quranic values in educational activities.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of multicultural education in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning and its role in shaping tolerance and brotherhood attitudes among students at SMP Negeri 2 Samarinda. This study was motivated by the importance of developing religious education that appreciates cultural and religious diversity in Indonesia’s plural society. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The research subjects included the principal, PAI teacher, and students. The findings reveal that the implementation of multicultural education in PAI learning is carried out through three stages: (1) planning, which integrates multicultural values into learning modules; (2) implementation, which applies active and collaborative learning methods such as group discussions and role-playing; and (3) evaluation, which emphasizes the affective domain through behavioral assessment and reflection. The results indicate an increase in tolerance by 1% and brotherhood by 1.5% among students, showing that multicultural-based PAI learning positively contributes to creating an inclusive, harmonious, and tolerant educational environment.

Abstract

This study discusses the recitation of Sufism developed by K.H. Juchran Erfan Ali at the Ushuluddin Islamic Boarding School, Banjar Regency. The goal is to understand the form, pattern, and relevance of the teachings of Sufism taught to students in the context of contemporary Islamic spirituality and education. This research approach is qualitative with a type of field research, using observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation of manuscripts by K.H. Juchran. The results of the study show that the recitation of Sufism in this pesantren integrates Sufism morally, practically, and philosophical in the framework of sharia. K.H. Juchran emphasizes the balance between dzahir and mind, and places the experience of ma'rifat as the peak of the spiritual journey that comes from the concept of Nur Muhammad. The novelty of this research lies in the identification and mapping of the teachings of Sufism by K.H. Juchran which displays a synthesis between philosophical Sufism and the educational practice of local Islamic boarding schools

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the readiness of madrasah institutions in implementing a love-based curriculum within Islamic educational settings, particularly at MA Darun Najah Margoyoso Pati. A love-based curriculum is an educational approach that emphasizes values such as compassion, empathy, social responsibility, tolerance, and the development of spiritual character in the learning process. In the context of Islamic education, this approach is highly relevant because it aligns with the principles of Islam as a religion of mercy for all creation (rahmatan lil ‘alamin). Therefore, the integration of love-based values into the educational curriculum is expected to strengthen moral development and character formation among students. This research employs a library research method with a qualitative descriptive approach. The data were collected from various academic sources, including books, scientific journals, educational policy documents, and previous studies related to love-based curriculum implementation and character education in Islamic schools. The data analysis process was conducted through several stages, including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Through this method, the researcher seeks to develop a comprehensive understanding of theoretical concepts and practical implications of implementing a love-based curriculum within Islamic educational institutions. The findings indicate that the readiness of madrasah institutions in implementing a love-based curriculum is influenced by several important factors, including teacher readiness, institutional policy support, integration of character values into learning activities, and the existence of a supportive school culture that promotes compassion and tolerance. MA Darun Najah Margoyoso Pati demonstrates considerable potential for implementing such a curriculum due to its strong Islamic educational traditions that emphasize moral values, spirituality, and harmonious relationships between teachers and students. However, the successful implementation of a love-based curriculum still requires further improvement, particularly in teacher training, development of innovative learning methods, and systematic integration of love-based values into the curriculum framework. Therefore, strategic collaboration among educators, institutions, and policymakers is necessary to ensure the effective implementation of a love-based curriculum within madrasah education

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Islamic religiosity and Banjar cultural determinism on the resilience and entrepreneurial character of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) entrepreneurs in South Kalimantan. The research is grounded in the assumption that entrepreneurial success is not solely determined by economic and managerial factors, but is also strongly influenced by spiritual values and local cultural traditions. Islamic religiosity functions as a moral and psychological foundation that shapes ethical business behavior, while Banjar cultural values such as kayuh baimbai strengthen social solidarity, cooperation, and collective resilience among entrepreneurs. This study employs a qualitative approach using the Library Research method. Data were collected from scientific journals, books, dissertations, theses, and relevant academic documents discussing Islamic entrepreneurship, Banjar culture, MSME resilience, and entrepreneurial character. The collected data were analyzed through content analysis to identify conceptual patterns and relationships among variables. The findings reveal that Islamic religiosity significantly contributes to the development of entrepreneurial resilience through values such as patience, sincerity, honesty, trustworthiness, and reliance on God (tawakal). Meanwhile, Banjar cultural determinism strengthens entrepreneurial character through collective values, mutual cooperation, social harmony, and adaptive work ethics. The interaction between religiosity and local culture creates resilient, ethical, and socially responsible entrepreneurial behavior among MSME actors in South Kalimantan. The novelty of this research lies in its integrative approach that combines Islamic religiosity and Banjar cultural determinism as interconnected variables in shaping entrepreneurial resilience and character. This study also contributes to the development of Islamic entrepreneurship studies by emphasizing the importance of local cultural values as socio-spiritual capital in strengthening MSME sustainability in Muslim communities

Abstract

Communication between spouses serves as the primary medium determining the quality of marital relationships, functioning not merely as information exchange but as the continuous construction and reconstruction of shared meaning, trust, and emotional safety. Despite extensive scholarship on marital communication from interpersonal communication and marital psychology perspectives, studies that systematically examine spousal communication ethics through the lens of akhlaq tasawuf as a coherent normative system remain scarce. This study aims to construct a comprehensive framework of spousal communication ethics based on five core akhlaq tasawuf principles—shidq (authentic truthfulness), amanah (sacred trustworthiness), hilm (composed gentleness), tawadu' (authentic humility), and husnuzh-zhann (charitable interpretation)—and to analyze their implications for marital harmony. Employing a qualitative normative-integrative library research methodology that dialogizes classical Sufi texts with contemporary interpersonal communication theory and marital psychology, this study finds that the five principles form a coherent, mutually reinforcing value system that collectively produces 'communicative sakinah'—a state of relational tranquility generated through honesty, trust, and humility in every spousal interaction. Crucially, these principles demonstrate strong resonance with Gottman's marital research, Rogers' client-centered communication theory, and Nonviolent Communication (NVC), confirming that akhlaq tasawuf wisdom is empirically validated beyond normative-religious boundaries. The study proposes the Communicative Sakinah Model as a practical framework for marriage preparation, couple counseling, and family harmony programs

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in fostering students’ religious awareness in the digital era at SMAN 1 Tenggarong. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings reveal that students’ religious awareness is influenced by both internal and external factors, including self-motivation, family environment, peer influence, and digital media exposure. In the digital era, PAI teachers play important roles not only as educators, but also as mentors, motivators, role models, and filters of religious information accessed by students through digital media. Effective strategies implemented by teachers include religious habituation, emotional and contextual approaches, and the selective use of technology. The study concludes that collaboration among teachers, families, and schools is essential in creating a religious environment that supports the development of students’ religious awareness in the digital era.

Abstract

This article examines the transformation of the integrative Islamic Education curriculum through the synergy of science, technology, and Maqasid al-Shariah within the broader context of contemporary Islamic education. The study aims to explore the philosophical foundations, conceptual models, implementation strategies, and educational implications of integrating scientific knowledge, technological advancement, and Islamic ethical principles into the Islamic Education curriculum. The research employs a qualitative approach using the Library Research method by analyzing classical Islamic scholarship, contemporary educational theories, curriculum studies, and recent scholarly publications related to Islamic education and educational technology. The findings reveal that the integration of science and technology with Maqasid al-Shariah creates a transformative educational paradigm that not only strengthens students’ intellectual competence but also develops spiritual awareness, ethical responsibility, and social sensitivity. The study further demonstrates that the curriculum transformation contributes to the development of holistic Muslim learners capable of responding to the challenges of globalization, digitalization, and technological disruption without losing Islamic identity and moral values. The novelty of this study lies in the formulation of a conceptual framework for an integrative Islamic Education curriculum based on the alignment between scientific literacy, digital competence, and the objectives of Islamic law.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence has created significant opportunities for educational transformation through more adaptive and personalized learning innovations. However, the rapid penetration of digital technology also raises the risk of educational dehumanization when learning processes become overly oriented toward automation and technological efficiency. This study aims to analyze the transformation of educators’ competencies from the perspective of human-centered learning in the era of Artificial Intelligence. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using a library research method by analyzing national scientific articles published between 2020 and 2026 and indexed through Google Scholar. The data were analyzed using literature analysis techniques to identify thematic patterns, research tendencies, and conceptual syntheses related to teacher competencies in the AI era. The findings indicate that educators’ competencies have shifted from conventional pedagogical competencies toward multidimensional competencies encompassing AI literacy, human-centered pedagogy, empathetic communication, reflective leadership, and technology-based collaborative learning. Human-centered learning has emerged as a dominant paradigm emphasizing empathy, social interaction, critical reflection, and meaningful learning experiences as the core of educational processes. The integration of AI has improved learning personalization, administrative efficiency, and instructional media innovation, yet it also poses the potential to weaken humanistic dimensions if not balanced with ethical and social values. This study contributes theoretically to strengthening the discourse on AI-based human-centered learning and practically serves as a foundation for developing teacher training programs, AI literacy, and humanistic educational policies in Indonesia.
