Abstract

Human resource management plays a crucial role in achieving organisational goals. This study aims to analyse the effect of work environment, work motivation, and work discipline on employee performance at the Karanganyar Regency Communication and Informatics Office. This study uses a survey approach to employees of the Karanganyar Regency Communication and Informatics Office by utilising quantitative data. Primary data was obtained through distributing questionnaires to 60 respondents selected from the population of all employees of the agency. The data analysis techniques applied include multiple linear regression tests, t tests, F tests, and coefficient of determination tests. Based on validity and reliability testing, all statement items related to work environment, work motivation, work discipline, and employee performance were confirmed valid with a significance value (p) less than 0.05, and reliable with a Cronbach's Alpha value exceeding 0.60.  The results of classical assumption testing indicate that all variables have met the criteria for multicollinearity, autocorrelation, heteroscedasticity, and normality tests, with normal data distribution. Linear regression analysis resulted in the equation: Y = 1.974 + 0.369 ????1 + 0.238 ????2 + 0.310 ????3 + e. The t test shows that the work environment variable (????1), work motivation (????2), and work discipline (????3) have a statistically significant effect on employee performance. The F test confirms that the regression model used in this study is appropriate. The coefficient of determination (R²) shows that the independent variables contribute 62.3% to the variability of the dependent variable, while the remaining 37.7% is influenced by other variables outside the model tested.

Abstract

The development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises  (MSMEs) in Karawang  Regency is  a priority for  the  Karawang  Regency  Government.  The  empowerment  of  MSMEs  is  being  pursued through  the  Cooperatives  Office,  employing  various  empowerment  strategies.  For  example,  in Sirnabaya Village, a village in Teluk Jambe District, Karawang Regency, with a very high population density and a large influx of migrants due to its strategic location close to industrial areas and the city center, it is a potential area for MSME growth and development. However, MSMEs in the area still lack knowledge and use of QRIS as a payment method, even though cashless payment methods are currently trending and popular. To optimize MSME profits in line with technological developments, a research project entitled "Analysis of QRIS Use to Optimize MSME Revenue in Sirna Baya Village, Karawang Regency" was deemed necessary. The purpose of this research was to analyze the effectiveness of cashless payment methods among MSMEs in Karawang Regency. The research method used in this research was qualitative. The results of this study were the MSME community's understanding of the benefits and use of QRIS in transactions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of price and service quality on consumer satisfaction in Maxim's ride-hailing service in Palembang City. The study used a quantitative approach  with a non probability dampling technique through a purposive sampling method involving 100 active users of Maxim's ride hailing service. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a 5-point Likert scales distributed both online and offline. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linier regression to examine the influence of price and service quality on customer satisfaction. Competitive and transparant pricing plays an important role in increasinf consumer satisfaction, while the dimensions of service quality- tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy- have a greater influence on overall satisfaction. This research is expected to contribute to the literature on the relationship between price, service qualty, and consumer satisfaction, particularly in the context of online transportation services. Practically, these findings provide recommendations for Maxim to maintain a balance between affordable pricing strategies and improved service quality to sustain consumer trust and competitiveness in the market.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the impact of discounts and service standards on customer satisfaction levels at Maranatha Store, a retail business operating in the area of Maranatha Christian University. In the face of increasingly fierce retail competition, ensuring customer satisfaction is crucial for maintaining consumer loyalty, especially among students who are a key target market. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, distributing questionnaires to 126 respondents who are active students who have shopped directly at Maranatha Store. The sampling method used is purposive sampling. The collected data was analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS software version 25. The findings of this study indicate that discounts have a positive and significant impact on customer satisfaction, and service quality also has a positive and significant impact on customer satisfaction. Simultaneously, discounts and service quality were found to have a significant impact on customer satisfaction. These results indicate that the right discount strategies and continuous improvement in service quality can enhance customers' perceived value and shopping experience. This research is expected to serve as a managerial reference for Maranatha Store in designing more effective marketing and service strategies, and to contribute to the development of studies on retail marketing within the campus environment.

Abstract

Indonesia's development, as an archipelagic country, has important seaport centers that theoretically should drive regional economic growth. The study aims to analyze the influence of the volume of goods flow (X1) and the number of passengers (X2) on the Gross Regional Product (GDP) of the transportation and warehousing sector (Y) in Wakatobi Regency (in the period 2020–2024) and simultaneously test the hypothesis of the leakage phenomenon. The method used is a quantitative method with multiple linear regression (OLS) analysis on monthly time series data. The results of the F test show that X1 and X2 simultaneously have a significant influence on Y, with an explanatory power of 75.1% (Adj. R² = 0.751). However, the results of the partial t test reveal important contradictory findings: The Volume of Goods Flow (X1) has a positive and significant influence on Y (coefficient +0.981), confirming that logistics activities are successful in generating local added value. Passenger Volume (X2) has a negative and significant influence on Y (coefficient -0.255). These findings confirm the existence of Economic Leakage. Despite very high passenger volumes (reaching 165,628 people in 2024), Wakatobi's transportation sector GDP actually experienced negative growth (-3.69% in 2024), as most of the added value from passenger transportation services was recorded outside Wakatobi by non-local operators.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of co-branding, fashion trends, and reference groups on the purchase decisions of Vans shoes among students of Mulawarman University. The research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 112 respondents selected via purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The results indicate that partially, co-branding and reference groups have a positive and significant effect on purchase decisions, while fashion trends do not have a significant effect. Simultaneously, all independent variables significantly influence purchase decisions with a strong correlation level. The coefficient of determination shows that 39% of the variation in purchase decisions can be explained by the research model, while the remaining 61% is influenced by other factors outside the model. These findings suggest that co-branding strategies and social influences play a more dominant role in shaping students’ purchase decisions compared to dynamic fashion trends. This study is expected to contribute to the development of marketing knowledge and provide practical insights for businesses in designing more effective marketing strategies.

Abstract

Planning financial future is an important step in achieving economic prosperity. However, many people still use conventional saving methods without considering the effect of inflation on the value of money. This study aims to analyze investment as an effective tool in long-term financial planning. The research method used is descriptive quantitative research with data collection from questionnaires distributed to respondents aged 20-50 years in the region of Kotabumi, North Lampung. Sampling technique uses purposive sampling with data analysis using descriptive statistics and correlation. The results show that investment plays an important role in improving financial future planning preparation especially through protection against inflation, passive income creation, and long-term financial goals achievement. In addition, understanding the type of investment instruments and risk management also influences individual decisions in investing. Hence, enhancing investment literacy becomes an essential factor to encourage individuals in creating effective financial planning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership style on employee performance with work motivation as an intervening variable at CV. Cahaya Belawan Sejahtera, a coal mining company operating in Samarinda, East Kalimantan. The research employed a quantitative method with a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to all employees using saturated sampling technique, yielding 53 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Square (PLS) with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results indicate that: (1) transformational leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (T-Statistic = 2.326; p = 0.020); (2) transformational leadership style has a positive and significant effect on work motivation (T-Statistic = 5.792; p = 0.000); (3) work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (T-Statistic = 5.635; p = 0.000); and (4) transformational leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee performance through work motivation as a mediating variable (T-Statistic = 3.769; p = 0.000). The R-Square value for employee performance is 0.540, indicating that 54.0% of employee performance is explained by transformational leadership style and work motivation. This study confirms the importance of effective transformational leadership in enhancing employee motivation and performance in the mining sector.

Abstract

Human Resource Management (HRM) in Senior High Schools (SMA) is a strategic approach to managing teaching and administrative staff. This article aims to examine the concepts, principles, challenges, and solutions for implementing HRM in secondary education. The concept of HRM emphasizes the integration of professional competence and noble morals, thus orienting not only toward performance but also toward character development. The underlying principles include justice ('adl), trustworthiness (amanah), professionalism (itqan), and deliberation in decision-making. In practice, the implementation of HRM faces various challenges, including a poor understanding of modern management values, limited competency among teaching staff, and the influence of globalization and digitalization, which tend to shift spiritual values. Furthermore, there are still obstacles in recruitment, development, and performance evaluation systems that do not fully integrate these principles. To address these challenges, strategic solutions are needed, including strengthening Islamic values-based training, developing a work culture in schools, and implementing a management system that adapts to technological developments without abandoning Sharia principles.

Abstract

This study discusses the role of internal control systems in fraud prevention in Islamic banks. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach to understand the implementation of internal control systems in maintaining operational effectiveness and preventing fraudulent activities within Islamic banking institutions.Data collection was conducted through documentation studies and literature reviews from journals, books, and related scientific sources. The results of this study indicate that the internal control system has an important role in preventing fraud through transaction supervision, separation of duties, authorization systems, periodic evaluations, and the implementation of operational procedures in accordance with sharia principles. Internal control systems also help management identify risks and minimize opportunities for fraud. In addition, the use of information technology systems and routine supervision supports the effectiveness of fraud prevention efforts in Islamic banking institutions. However, the study also found several obstacles in implementing internal control systems, including limited human resources, low employee awareness regarding compliance, technological developments that increase fraud risks, and weak supervision in certain operational activities. Therefore, strengthening internal control systems and increasing employee competence are important steps to support effective fraud prevention in Islamic banks.
