Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of Islamic da'wah in reducing juvenile delinquency in Sihitang Village, a rural community where the majority of the population adheres to Islam. The problem of juvenile delinquency in this village has shown an increasing trend, including brawls, small-scale drug use, and violations of community rules, caused by a combination of internal factors (immature cognitive and emotional development, lack of self-confidence) and external factors (unsupportive family environment, negative peer influence, access to harmful content through media). The research method used is library research, which involves collecting and analyzing data from various written sources such as books, scientific journals, and previous research reports relevant to the topics of da'wah, juvenile delinquency, and the relationship between them. The discussion results show that Islamic da'wah adapted to the needs of adolescents – through tailored halaqah (study circles), educational and entertaining activities (competitions, theater, community service), and skill development programs based on Islamic values – plays an important role in shaping the character of adolescents to be faithful and morally upright. Integrated da'wah efforts involving collaboration between preachers, religious institutions, parents, and the village government have begun to show positive results, with a recorded decrease in juvenile delinquency cases and the emergence of adolescents who are more engaged in community life and have clear life goals. Although there are still challenges such as limited resources, this research proves that Islamic da'wah is not only a tool for spreading religious teachings but also an effective means of creating a supportive environment and guiding adolescents towards the right path.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of Islamic values in student character development. Islamic values such as faith, morals, and sharia can serve as a moral and ethical foundation for students in facing various challenges and problems in everyday life. This study uses literature study and critical analysis methods to understand how Islamic values can be integrated into student character education. The results show that Islamic values can play an important role in shaping the character of students who have noble morals, have an awareness of their responsibilities as servants of God and citizens, and become individuals who contribute positively to society. This research is expected to contribute to the development of character education in schools, especially in the context of Islamic education. This study confirms that Islamic values function as a moral foundation and an effective normative framework in shaping balanced student character (lawazun), encompassing spiritual, intellectual, and social aspects. Schools that optimize this role have successfully shown a decrease in cases of moral violations and an increase in positive student attitudes.

Abstract

This study aims to map the thematic evolution of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) research from 2010 to 2025, focusing on three contemporary discourses: religious moderation, Islamic ecology (eco-Islam), and science-technology integration. Bibliometric and sciencemapping methods were applied to 1,000 publications from Crossref, analyzed using VOS viewer based on title and abstract text mining. The co-occurrence analysis revealed an unequal intellectual structure: the religious moderation and character education clusters dominate as highly cohesive mainstreams, reflecting a strong response to Indonesia's socio-political context. Meanwhile, the digital transformation discourse forms a separate cluster with high citation influence but limited thematic integration. Critically, the discourse on Islamic environmental ethics (eco-Islam) emerges as an isolated cluster, marking a glaring research gap despite its solid theological foundation. An overlay analysis reveals moderation as an established theme, while environmental issues and artificial intelligence are emerging topics that have not yet been integrated. The study's conclusion highlights the need for an integrative research agenda to weave together these three discourses to address 21st-century challenges more holistically.

Abstract

This research discusses teachers' efforts to develop the interests and talents of students with low learning motivation in the classroom. The main issue raised is how teachers can help students who are less enthusiastic about learning so that their potential does not develop optimally. Low learning motivation often leads to low participation, declining academic performance, and hindered development of students' interests and talents. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, which involves classroom observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, and analysis of learning documentation. The research findings indicate that teachers employ several important strategies, such as creating an engaging, enjoyable, and varied learning environment to enhance student attention. Teachers also take an individual approach to understand the needs, obstacles, and emotional conditions of the students. Additionally, providing positive reinforcement is a way to foster self-confidence and motivate them in the learning process. In addition, teachers collaborate with parents and school staff to provide a variety of activities that align with students' interests and talents, giving them space to explore their abilities in a more focused manner. This finding confirms that sustained teacher support and the implementation of appropriate learning strategies can enhance student engagement and optimally foster the development of interests and talents.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has brought major transformations to human life, including in the fields of Islamic education and da’wah. Young Muslims, as active users of digital media, are among those most affected by the global flow of information. This study aims to examine in depth the role of education and digital da’wah in shaping the Islamic identity of young Muslim generations in the modern era. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method through literature review, interviews, and observation of youth religious activities on various digital platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and online learning media. The findings indicate that education and digital da’wah play a strategic role in strengthening Islamic values, fostering spiritual awareness, and building moral character aligned with Islamic teachings. Digital da’wah presented with creative approaches, simple language, and engaging visuals effectively increases youth interest in religious learning. However, significant challenges also arise, including the spread of unreliable religious content, the influence of digital hedonism, and the lack of media literacy among young users. Therefore, collaboration among Islamic educational institutions, digital preachers, and families is essential to guide young Muslims in using technology wisely. This study is expected to serve as a foundation for developing effective strategies for Islamic education and da’wah in the digital era to strengthen Islamic identity among the younger generation sustainably and contextually.

Abstract

This ournal examines the crisis of exemplary conduct that loccurs in the diaital era and explores various efforts to strenathen morality through Islamic Reliaious Education (PAI). In today's digital age, the rapid flow of information and limitless social interaction have changea the way people think, communicate, and behave. However behind these conveniences and technological advancements lie serious challenges related to moral degradation and the weakening of ethical values among individuals, especially the younger generation. This study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach to analyze literature, previous studies, ana empirical data related to the crisis of exemplary conduct and the role of PAI in fosterina moral awareness. The findinas indicate that the moral crisis in the diaital era is influenced by several factors, including the negative impact of social media, uncontrolled access to information, lack of character education, weakened family supervision, exposure to inappropriate foreign cultures, and weak enforcement of moral discipline. To address these problems, it is necessary to strengthen morality through PAI by integrating Islamic values into learning, emphasizing teacher exemplary behavior, habituating students to good deeds, encouraging positive and wise use of diaital media, and buildina collaboration between schools and parents. In addition, continuous monitoring and evaluation of moral development programs are crucial. Through these comprehensive efforts, PAI is expected to build a strong moral foundation, enablina the younger generation to resist negative influences, uphola Islamic ethics, and make wise and responsible decisions in their daily lives

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of generative artificial intelligence (AI) use in education on students’ learning motivation and academic integrity. The rapid development of generative AI technologies, such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and similar platforms, has significantly influenced learning processes, affecting both cognitive engagement and academic behavior. This research examines how generative AI can enhance learning motivation by providing instant information access, personalized learning materials, and more flexible learning assistance. However, its use also raises critical concerns regarding academic integrity, including increased risks of plagiarism, academic dishonesty, and reduced learner autonomy. The findings indicate that generative AI has a dual effect: offering opportunities to improve learning quality while simultaneously demanding strong regulation, ethical guidelines, and digital literacy to prevent erosion of academic values. Therefore, educational institutions must implement comprehensive policies, guidance, and supervision to ensure that generative AI is utilized ethically and constructively.

Abstract

This study discusses the efforts of schools and parents in supporting children’s learning when their homes are damaged after a flood. Flood disasters often have serious impacts on the continuity of children’s education, affecting not only learning facilities but also their psychological well-being and motivation to continue studying. Children who are affected often lose proper housing and experience emotional distress, making them in need of comprehensive support from their surroundings, particularly schools and families. This research uses the library research method, which involves reviewing various literature sources such as books, journals, research reports, and scientific articles related to children’s education in post-disaster contexts. This method was chosen because it allows the researcher to examine theories and previous findings in depth, providing a conceptual understanding of strategies and the roles of different stakeholders in restoring education after a flood. The findings indicate that schools play a strategic role as institutions that focus not only on academic instruction but also on providing emotional, social, and moral support for students. Teachers play a crucial role in creating a safe and empathetic learning environment and in rebuilding children’s motivation through flexible and contextual learning approaches. Meanwhile, parents contribute by offering moral support, creating a conducive learning atmosphere at home, and maintaining active communication with the school. Collaboration between schools and parents is identified as the key factor in restoring children’s learning enthusiasm after a flood, as well as in fostering resilience and educational awareness that help them face future challenges with strength and confidence.

Abstract

Civic Education (PKn) has a strategic role in fostering democratic awareness among adolescents as the future generation of the nation. This study aims to analyze how PKn learning can improve students’ understanding and participation in democracy. The method used is a descriptive quantitative approach through a survey of senior high school students.The results show that most students already have a fairly good understanding of democratic concepts, such as citizens’ rights and responsibilities, tolerance, and participation in national life. However, their level of involvement in socio-political activities remains relatively low. This is influenced by learning methods that still tend to be conventional and the lack of contextual learning implementation.In addition, the development of technology and social media poses challenges, as it can influence adolescents’ perspectives on democratic issues. Therefore, innovation in PKn learning is needed, such as the use of discussion methods, simulations, and case studies, as well as strengthening digital literacy so that students are able to think critically and actively participate in democratic life.

Abstract

Education plays a strategic role in shaping character and fostering the morals of Muslims as the moral foundation of both individuals and society. Education focuses not only on intellectual development but also emphasizes the internalization of religious values ​​that can shape good and responsible behavior. This study aims to analyze the role of education as a means of moral development, the challenges faced, and effective methods in its implementation. The research method used is a qualitative literature study approach, through the collection and analysis of literature from books, journals, and academic documents related to Islamic education and morals. The results show that education can be a means of moral development through the introduction of social and religious norms from an early age, the role model of educators, the habituation of positive behavior, and the synergy between formal, non-formal, and informal education. In addition, challenges to moral education include the influence of modernity, the digital era, misinformation, limitations of educators, and differences in societal understanding. Therefore, an effective moral development strategy must be adaptive to current developments, but still based on noble religious and moral values. By implementing appropriate educational methods, it is hoped that the younger generation will be able to internalize noble morals, develop a character of integrity, and form a harmonious, morally upright society that adheres to Islamic teachings.
