Abstract

Makkombong tradition is a culture of mutual cooperation owned by the people of Enrekang district which has existed since ancient times and has been passed down from generation to generation to the next generation. Makkombong culture is the culture of the people of Enrekang district which is full of strong values of togetherness. Where when someone holds a big event, other people in the community will definitely come and provide assistance without expecting anything in return from those who carry out or hold the activity or event. Even though in the makkombong culture, people never expect anything in return for the help they provide, it is a shame if they do not give any response to the help given to them by other people. However, as time goes by and the era of globalization begins to enter the Masalle sub-district community, the makkombong culture Even this also faded and was replaced by work with a salary system or what in the Enrekang Duri language is called Mangkande Gaji. The increasingly rapid development of globalization has resulted in increasingly sophisticated technological advances, opening up new opportunities and information flows that can be accessed by all communities, including in rural areas. Rural communities are starting to adopt global patterns by creating a more modern lifestyle such as a total transformation from traditional values to more modern values.

The research method uses field research with qualitative descriptive research methods. Descriptive research is a study that aims to describe the nature, facts and relationships between the phenomena studied. The purpose of qualitative descriptive research is to produce descriptive data in the form of images, words, of the observed behavior of the community. The researcher will immediately conduct interviews, observations for information. The results showed that, first in the Law. No.22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation, if a family peaceful road cannot be carried out then this matter is resolved in court. Secondly, compensation for victims of traffic accidents from the perspective of the shafi'I school and its relevance in the Bone Police, compensation is called diyat in islamic law and is obliged to pay and predominantly paid with camels at that time while its relevance in the Bone Police is the same as obliging to compensate for the negligence of the perpetrator even though the payment method is different from the perspective of the school because at that time the camel was the most privileged animal that could be given to the victim. Third, in the settlement of compensation in the police department, there were 426 cases of compensation for traffic accidents that occurred in 2021 where the settlement was peaceful or familial (not brought to justice) with material damages by interpreting the damages incurreds

Abstract

Moral messages in children's literature play a critical role in shaping the ethical foundations and character development of young readers. This article undertakes an in-depth examination of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's timeless novella “The Little Prince” to assess its potential influence on child readers. Employing a qualitative approach, the study analyzes the novel's text to identify and explore the novel's significant moral messages. The findings of the analysis reveal that “The Little Prince” imparts profound lessons in imagination, empathy, friendship, loyalty, and responsibility, which deeply shape child readers' understanding and appreciation of these virtues. Through the character of the Little Prince and his journey across planets, the novel demonstrates how a childlike sense of wonder and innocence fosters a deeper perception of beauty and meaning in life. Moreover, the novel emphasizes the importance of caring relationships and the responsibilities that come with them. By providing young readers with these valuable lessons, “The Little Prince” becomes a potent educational tool and a source of moral inspiration for children. Through this analysis, the article underscores the crucial role of children's literature in moral education and the character development of young generations.
