Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of employee competence, behavioral control, and trust on employee performance at the Bojonegoro District Health Office with Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) as an intervening variable. The background of this study is related to the importance of employee performance in achieving public service organizational goals, particularly in the health sector. This study uses an explanatory quantitative method with a Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The research sample consisted of 100 employees at the Bojonegoro District Health Office. The results of the analysis show that the influence of employee competence on employee performance is not significant, but employee competence has a significant influence on OCB. Behavioral control has a significant effect on employee performance, but its effect on OCB is not significant. Trust has a significant effect on OCB, but its direct effect on employee performance does not. OCB is proven to have a significant effect on employee performance. Therefore, OCB plays an important role as a mediator in improving employee performance. This study provides a theoretical contribution by clarifying the relationship between variables in the context of public service-based government organizations. In practical terms, the results of this study are expected to form the basis for recommendations to improve the quality of human resources and develop managerial strategies at the Bojonegoro District Health Office in order to support the effectiveness and efficiency of public services.

Abstract

The implementation of the Standard Inpatient Class (KRIS) policy presents challenges for hospitals in ensuring equitable service delivery. Organizational readiness depends not only on adequate physical infrastructure but also on an adaptive organizational culture and strong clinical leadership to guide change. As a referral hospital, RS BM must ensure alignment across organizational components to meet KRIS standards sustainably. This study analyzes the influence of infrastructure quality and clinical leadership on organizational readiness for KRIS implementation, with organizational culture as an intervening variable. A quantitative cross-sectional design was used, involving 136 healthcare and medical personnel working in the inpatient units of RS Bhakti Mulia. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) to examine relationships among variables. Infrastructure quality and organizational culture significantly and positively affect organizational readiness. Clinical leadership, while not directly influencing readiness, has a significant positive effect on organizational culture. KRIS readiness at RS BM is shaped by infrastructure quality, clinical leadership, and organizational culture, with culture acting as the main mediator. The hospital shows strong readiness but still faces gaps in progress monitoring, inpatient room layout and privacy, leadership direction, and team participation. Strengthening monitoring mechanisms, improving room design according to KRIS standards, enhancing clinical leadership capacity, and fostering a collaborative organizational culture are essential to support comprehensive and sustainable KRIS implementation

Abstract

Rapid technological change in the digital era has reshaped the nature of organizational innovation, requiring firms not only to innovate but also to align their innovation activities with technological developments and market dynamics, a capability referred to as Techno-Resonance Innovation Capability (TRIC). Although Knowledge Management (KM) has been widely recognized as a driver of innovation, studies that explicitly link KM to the development of techno-resonant innovation remain limited. This study aims to address this gap by systematically reviewing the literature to examine how KM contributes to innovation capability and how this relationship evolves toward TRIC through absorptive capacity. Using the systematic literature review methodology proposed by Tranfield et al., this study follows three stages planning, conducting, and reporting the review to identify, evaluate, and synthesize relevant studies on KM, absorptive capacity, innovation capability, and techno-resonance. The findings indicate that innovation capability emerges from interconnected KM processes, including knowledge acquisition, sharing, storage, and application, which form the organizational infrastructure for innovation. Absorptive capacity is identified as a key bridging mechanism that enables organizations to transform managed knowledge into innovative outcomes by enhancing their ability to acquire, assimilate, transform, and exploit technological knowledge. This study concludes that integrating KM and TRIC through absorptive capacity extends conventional innovation capability models and provides a stronger theoretical explanation of innovation in technology-driven and digitally dynamic environments.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of work–life balance on job performance among Generation Z employees in Jakarta, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable and family-supportive supervisor behavior as a moderating variable. Generation Z, the largest segment of Indonesia's workforce, values flexibility and supportive leadership, but their job performance often shows inconsistency. Previous studies have yielded mixed results on the relationships between work–life balance, job satisfaction, and job performance, with limited empirical evidence on the role of family-supportive supervisor behavior, particularly in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 385 Generation Z employees in Jakarta through purposive sampling. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0 was used for data analysis. Results indicate that work–life balance positively influences both job satisfaction and job performance. Additionally, job satisfaction partially mediates the relationship between work–life balance and job performance, suggesting that a better work–life balance enhances job satisfaction, which in turn improves performance. The study also shows that family-supportive supervisor behavior significantly strengthens the positive effect of work–life balance on job performance. These findings contribute to the literature by clarifying how work–life balance affects job performance among Generation Z employees and highlighting the importance of supportive leadership.

Abstract

Regional financial management in the era of decentralization demands absolute transparency and accountability from local governments to the public. This article is the result of a Public Sector Audit Project aimed at critically analyzing the interrelationship among the three main pillars of auditing: financial accountability, regulatory compliance, and performance effectiveness through the Value for Money framework (3E: Economy, Efficiency, and Effectiveness). The methodology employed is descriptive qualitative research using document analysis techniques on Audit Reports (Laporan Hasil Pemeriksaan/LHP) and regional financial management regulations. The findings reveal an “accountability paradox,” where the achievement of an Unqualified Opinion (Wajar Tanpa Pengecualian/WTP) does not fully correlate with the absence of corruption practices or improvements in public welfare. The study identifies procurement of goods and services as well as grant expenditures as areas particularly vulnerable to non-compliance. Furthermore, the effectiveness aspect of budgeting is often neglected due to the predominantly administrative focus of audits. This article recommends transforming the role of Government Internal Supervisory Apparatus (APIP) into strategic partners, strengthening auditor independence, and integrating information technology–based audits to mitigate maladministration risks and ensure tangible economic benefits for society.

Abstract

The increasing trend of secondhand clothing consumption, commonly known as thrift shopping, reflects a major shift in consumer behavior. This study aims to analyze the influence of product quality, price, and lifestyle on consumers’ purchase decisions for secondhand clothing at the Tugu Pahlawan Sunday Morning Market in Surabaya. This research employed a quantitative approach using a non-probability sampling design. Primary data were obtained from 167 respondents through structured questionnaires utilizing a five-point Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the support of SPSS software, preceded by validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. The results show that product quality, price, and lifestyle simultaneously have a significant influence on purchase decisions. Partially, product quality and lifestyle have a positive and significant effect, while price shows a weaker but still significant influence. These findings indicate that consumers’ decisions to purchase secondhand clothing are not solely driven by low prices but also influenced by perceived product quality and lifestyle preferences. This study contributes to the understanding of consumer behavior in informal markets and provides practical implications for business practitioners and policymakers to enhance sustainable consumption patterns.

Abstract

This study examines the implications of the micro-shopping phenomenon and omnichannel integration for market structure and competitive dynamics in Indonesia’s retail sector from an industrial organization perspective. The transformation of modern retail is characterized by a shift toward small-value, high-frequency transactions alongside increasing integration between physical stores and digital channels. Employing a descriptive-analytical approach, this study utilizes secondary data on market shares and the number of retail outlets operated by major firms during the 2022–2024 period. Market structure is assessed through market share distribution, outlet ownership ratios, the four-firm concentration ratio (CR4), and the Herfindahl–Hirschman Index (HHI). The results indicate that Indonesia’s retail market exhibits a highly concentrated, network-based oligopolistic structure. The dominance of large retail firms is reflected not only in their substantial market shares but also in their dense outlet networks, which enable the aggregation of dispersed micro-shopping transactions. Furthermore, omnichannel integration reinforces these structural advantages by enhancing logistical coordination and distribution efficiency. Overall, the findings suggest an increasing tendency toward market consolidation and a declining competitive space for small and traditional retailers, highlighting important implications for competition policy and the long-term sustainability of retail market structure.

Abstract

Indonesian fashion SMEs have significant export opportunities, but their export performance remains suboptimal as not all businesses are able to convert innovation, digitalisation, and market orientation into tangible international competitiveness. This study aims to analyse the determinants of Indonesian fashion SMEs’ export performance from the perspectives of the Resource-Based View and Internationalisation Theory. The study employs an explanatory quantitative approach using a cross-sectional survey design involving 200 owners or key managers of fashion SMEs in East Java, selected through purposive sampling. Data were analysed using SEM-PLS. Simulation results indicate that internal capabilities, international market orientation, and access to international networks have a positive influence on competitive advantage, whilst competitive advantage has a positive influence on export performance. Internal capabilities and access to international networks also demonstrate a significant direct influence on export performance, whilst international market orientation is not directly significant but operates through competitive advantage. The implication is that strategies to boost fashion SME exports should focus on strengthening innovation, quality, brand differentiation, and international market networks, rather than merely on symbolic digital adoption.
