Abstract

Research and Community Service (PKM) is one of the manifestations of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. The purpose of the PKM activity is to foster lecturers in improving their abilities, skills, and independence as well as the existence of Pamulang University as an agent of change in order to provide significant benefits to the community. This time the Unpam Accounting Study Program held PKM at UMKM Jawara Depok. The purpose of the activity is to provide financial management eeduaction in managing household finances for the sake of the continuaity of Msme businesses in the future so that it is hoped that economic prosperity will be achieved. The Importance of this activity is due to economic instability and increased knowledge of financial management that is managed and educated the community, to manage household finances well and optimally and skills in financial management can be applied in everyday life as provisiaons in the future. The implementation of PKM Consists of Psesntatins of materials, discussions and training at the enda of the session to determine the extent to whicg the material has been absorbed. A question and answae session was held with UMKM Jawara Depok.

Abstract

This Student Community Service (PMKM) activity aims to enhance the financial awareness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) actors through education on the separation of personal and business finances. Many MSME actors still mix personal money with business cash due to a lack of financial literacy, making it difficult to objectively assess business performance. In accounting principles, this practice violates the entity concept. The activity was carried out in an interactive counseling format based on three stages: experience-based presentation, direct demonstration and a reflective session. The material covers the definition of MSMEs, the importance of financial awareness, steps to separate finances, examples of simple bookkeeping, and the impacts and benefits of good financial management. The method used was an andragogy approach combined with demonstration, which are well-suited for adult learners. The results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of the basic principles of business financial governance and the importance of separating personal accounts from business accounts.

Abstract

An Android-based application can serve as a solution for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Karawang Regency in preparing financial statements. The application can assist business owners in recording financial transactions easily and updating them using a smartphone, enabling them to monitor in real time whether their businesses are financially healthy or not. However, it is essential to provide education and training for MSME owners regarding the benefits of financial reporting and the proper use of the application. In addition, efforts should be made to increase MSME owners' awareness and understanding of the importance of accounting in business management through targeted campaigns and outreach programs. These initiatives can help improve the quality of financial management practices among MSMEs in Karawang Regency.

Abstract

The problem of water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) in Segaran Village not only affects the environment but also hampers the community’s economic potential, as it has long been regarded merely as a weed. This community service program aimed to revitalize the utilization of water hyacinth through a structured and sustainable approach. The activities focused on empowering housewives through socialization, technical training, business mentoring, and evaluation. The method was designed to ensure that the community gained not only temporary knowledge but also skills that could be continuously developed independently. The results showed an increase in the capacity of housewives to process water hyacinth into various handicraft products with market value. In addition, the community began to recognize the importance of business management through simple financial recording, production management, and marketing strategies. Although the economic impact is still limited to the local scope, this program has opened opportunities for household economic independence and reduced dependence on informal loans. Thus, the program contributes not only to increasing income but also to environmental management, while serving as a foundation for the development of community-based economic activities utilizing local resources.
