Abstract

This research analyzes the emotional and psychological impact experienced by the audience after watching the film Hello Ghost. The movie was released in Indonesia in 2023. Hello Ghost tells the story of Kresna, a young man who wants to commit suicide. However, Kresna fails to kill himself and is instead followed by four ghosts with different characters. The ghosts will not leave unless Kresna grants their wishes. The purpose of this article is to develop readers' knowledge and understanding of the psychological impact experienced by the public on the effects of mass communication in the movie hello ghost. Qualitative research methods were used in this study by collecting information through surveys, questionnaires, and interviews to the target audience of Halo Hantu based on the movie. According to the results obtained from respondents, there are 10 out of 33 people who like this Hello Ghost movie, people who like this Hello Ghost movie, where the majority of the audience are fans of the horror and comedy genres. These two genres have their own elements, both in presenting the work. Therefore, psychological effects work by moving or stimulating the emotions experienced by the audience, and this paper aims to observe the emotional and psychological effects for those who watch this movie. Abstract

Berdasarkan data yang dilansir dari KemenPPPA, tercatat bahwa terdapat 28.992 kasus kekerasan dalam rumah tangga sepanjang tahun 2024 dan 80% korban dari kasus KDRT tersebut adalah perempuan. Dari begitu banyaknya kasus KDRT, tidak sedikit dari korban yang memutuskan untuk tetap bertahan dengan berbagai alasan dan beranggapan bahwa pelaku akan berubah dan berperilaku baik. Menilik dari sisi psikologis sendiri, keputusan tersebut memiliki kaitan dengan attachment style korban dengan pelaku. Attachment sendiri merupakan ikatan emosional yang terbentuk antar individu yang memberikan rasa aman dan kenyamanan. Dalam kasus ini attachment berupa pasangan yang sekaligus menjadi figur lekatnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran dampak attachment korban KDRT terhadap pelaku dalam menyelesaikan konflik rumah tangga. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur. Berdasarkan studi literatur korban dengan attachment yang kuat pada pelaku mungkin mengalami kesulitan untuk melepaskan diri dari hubungan yang penuh kekerasan, meskipun sadar bahwa hubungan tersebut merugikan. Hal ini bisa membuat korban cenderung mencari cara untuk mempertahankan hubungan, bahkan dengan mengorbankan kesehatan mental dan fisiknya. Sebaliknya, ikatan yang kuat juga dapat mempersulit proses penyelesaian konflik, karena korban mungkin lebih rentan terhadap manipulasi emosional, sehingga konflik rumah tangga tidak terselesaikan dengan baik dan berulang. Abstract

Social Categorization Intenvention to Decrease Prejudice Against Students With Disability in  Islamic Higher Education. People with disability have been being suffered to prejudice and discrimination not only social context but aslo happen in education circumstance. Particuarly, prejudice againts students with disability has been theatening social harmony and wellbeing that can impact to life quality. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the effect of social categorisation training on prejudice reduction towards people with disabilities at Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University. The intervention involves four dimensions: recategorization, reciprocal differentiation, recategorization, and integration. The intervention was applied a day with 10 participants. Findings demonstrated that the t-test rshowed a significant decrease in prejudice scores from 71.4 to 49.7 (t = 21.13; p = .04), illustrating a positive change in attitudes. Although the sample was limited to a small group and there was no control group, these findings suggest that this approach can strengthen student’s inclusive attitudes. Abstract

Laboratorium sosiologi memiliki peranan sebagai wadah untuk mewujudkan perubahan sosial. Terutama untuk mewujudkan semua kegiatan dan aktivitas Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi, mencakup pendidikan, penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pentingnya laboratorium dalam mewadahi kegiatan penelitian bersama antara dosen dan mahasiswa. Teori yang digunakan untuk menganalisis yaitu pemberdayaan. Metode penelitian kualitatif untuk mencari data di lapangan dan untuk menganalisis temuan di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa laboratorium memiliki peranan yang penting dalam mewadahi praktik riset mahasiswa sosiologi. Proses kegiatan di laboratorium merupakan bagian dari pemberdayaan dengan aktornya dosen dan mahasiswa. Beberapa proses kegiatan pemberdayaan yang dilakukan dalam proses penelitian yaitu : mendiskusikan dan menyusun proposal penelitian, penyusunan instrumen penelitian, pengambilan data penelitian, penyusunan tulisan, publikasi jurnal. Pemberdayaan bisa berkelanjutan dengan adanya partisipasi aktif dari aktor yang terlibat, dosen dan mahasiswa. Dengan adanya keaktifan dosen dan mahasiswa dalam penelitian dan publikasi, pemberdayaan bisa berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Social Media is bringing a new direction for da'wah communication in the mass media. Social media, which is dominated by young people, is the most appropriate platform for spreading Islamic da'wah among youth, especially students. Hanan Attaki is one of the lecturers who uses social media as a medium of communication for his da'wah which attracts young people to get to know Islam. This study aims to determine the effect of student audiences on the preaching content of Ustadz Hanan Attaki on social media on their level of religiosity. This study used a qualitative method by conducting interviews with 3 students. The theory used in this study is the theory of new media, the theory of media effects, and da'wah communication. The results of this study are that the preaching content of Hanan Attaki on social media has an effect on the level of religiosity of students, in terms of cognitive, affective, and behavioral effects, all of which show an effect on the level of religiosity that is getting stronger.

Abstract

This study aims to examine interpersonal communication that occurs between students and students who are deaf in the social sciences and humanities faculty, UIN Sunan Kalijaga. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach by interviewing and observing respondents to collect data. Respondents in this study consisted of three students with hearing disabilities and two students without disabilities as a comparison. The results show that the communication that occurs between students and students with hearing disabilities involves various challenges that affect their interaction patterns. In this context, the use of media is an important tool in facilitating communication between students and students with hearing disabilities. These findings provide valuable insights for educational institutions to improve facilities to facilitate effective communication for students with students with hearing disabilities. Abstract

In decision-making involving parents and children, sometimes there are differences of opinion in it, especially to determine the future such as the level of education. To determine this level of education, the factor that sometimes becomes a dispute between parents and children is the orientation of the intended career path. For this problem, especially the determination to enter college, there are many obstacles for both. For this reason, this research was conducted to analyse the reasons for the difference of opinion for further study to college between children and parents. Therefore, the researcher has observed several gap year students in 2022 to be observed regarding their reasons for choosing a gap year and their parents' opinions on the reasons why they gap year.

Abstract

Perkembangan di bidang media komunikasi tidak ada habisnya termasuk munculnya media baru atau yang lebih dikenal dengan media sosial. Pemanfaatan media sosial tidak terbatas pada fungsi komunikasi saja akan tetapi media sosial dapat digunakan sebagai sumber informasi, edukasi. Salah satu platform media yang banyak digunakan adalah Tiktok dengan presentase 70,8% dari total pengguna media sosial pada tahun 2023. Salah satu kreator Tiktok yang menyediakan konten edukasi karya dengan banyak peminat adalah akun @vmuliana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur pengaruh konten @vmuliana terhadap mahasiswa ilmu komunikasi UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan penyebaran kuesioner melalui google form dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 142 orang dari total mahasiswa. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori ekologi media. Dari analisis data melalui uji regresi linier sederhana diperoleh hasil koefisien determinasi R square sebesar 0,744 yang berarti  nilai presentase perubahan variabel bebas Var Y yang mampu dijelaskan oleh variabel terikat Var X sebesar 74,4% sedangkan sisanya sebesar 25,6% dijelaskan oleh variabel lain di luar penelitian ini. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa konten tiktok @vmulian memiliki pengaruh yang kuat terhadap kesiapan kerja mahasiswa angkatan 2023.  Kata kunci: Tiktok, Vina Muliana, Kesiapan Kerja

Abstract

This research analyzes the framing patterns of political news coverage by the Indonesian state news agency, LKBN ANTARA, in reporting on the Prabowo-Gibran administration, and compares it with the framing used by private media, Kompas.com. The study is motivated by ANTARA’s position as an official state news agency, which holds a potential structural bias when reporting on the ruling government. This research employs a qualitative approach using Robert N. Entman’s framing analysis method, comprising four elements: problem definition, causal interpretation, moral evaluation, and treatment recommendation. Data were collected from online news reports published by ANTARA and Kompas.com between October 2024 and April 2025. The findings reveal that ANTARA tends to frame news affirmatively toward the government, emphasizing optimism and successful programs while providing minimal space for critical voices. In contrast, Kompas.com demonstrates a more pluralistic framing pattern, offering space for public criticism and expert analyses of government policies. This difference in framing significantly impacts the construction of public reality, where a single narrative from state media risks narrowing public discourse and reducing political literacy among the population. This research is one of the initial studies specifically examining the framing practices of state media regarding the Prabowo-Gibran administration and contributes to the development of political communication studies in Indonesia. Abstract

Reading interest is a strong desire of an individual to read a literature provided by the author with self-awareness, so that an individual will be encouraged to read and explore the contents of the literature without coercion. Student reading interest in a literature or current news is influenced by several factors, such as clickbait. This study aims to determine the impact of clickbait on the reading interest of students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Bhayangkara University, Surabaya on the ayobandug.com platform. This research is based on the discovery of a phenomenon found by the author on the ayobandung.com platform which has the characteristics of clickbait, where the title is found to be very interesting, but sometimes the content of the news does not match the content of the title raised. The population in this study were students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Bhayangkara University, Surabaya. The sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique which has predetermined respondent criteria of 100 respondents. The data collection method was based on the survey method and the analysis technique in this study used the structural equation modeling method and used an analysis tool in the form of Partial Least Square (PLS). The research results found that the better the use of clickbait in the online media news titles ayobandung.com, the more it increases students' interest in reading.
