Abstract

The objective of this study is to identify and analyse the communication issues currently being experienced, and to provide concrete recommendations for addressing these issues through communication audits in the Keluarga Pelajar dan Mahasiswa Cirebon Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (KPC-DIY) in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The qualitative research method was employed, utilising a descriptive approach. The findings of this study indicate that KPC-DIY is experiencing communication issues, particularly a lack of interaction on the Instagram account @kpc.diy and a decline in participation from new members. This has resulted in ineffectiveness in the organisation's programmes. Consequently, it is recommended that a communication audit be conducted. The study also presents several recommendations, including the use of alternative posting formats, the incorporation of interactive captions, and the development of programmes aligned with the interests of students to enhance the involvement of new members.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of digital media on political communication in Indonesia. Political communication is not only a means to influence public opinion, mobilize support, and build a political image, but it is also the main foundation in shaping political mindsets and behaviors covering various aspects of people's lives. Digital media opens up possibilities for people to interact actively. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method that focuses on case studies in the context of political communication. Data collection was carried out using online surveys, social media content analysis, and interviews with political communication practitioners. The results of the study show that the use of social media in political campaigns has increased drastically in recent years. The use of digital media is able to effectively change voter behavior, stimulate active political participation, and influence the direction of a political campaign with all its elements. With information easily accessible via smartphones or computers, they can form their own opinions about potential leaders and easily interact with them. Overall, political campaigns through social media in the context of elections in Indonesia have shown a very positive impact.

Hadirnya aplikasi Instagram merupakan wadah yang baik bagi para pendakwah untuk menyebarkan kebaikan kepada masyarakat, seperti yang dilakukan oleh Abhizar dengan nama akun @abhizar.albiru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara dalam bagaimana strategi dakwah Abhizar Albiru di aplikasi instagram @abhizar.albiru. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi dan dokumentasi dan menggunakan metode analisis isi (Analysis content) yang digunakan untuk menarik kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa strategi komunikasi dakwah Abhizar Albiru pada akun Instagram @abhizar.albiru yaitu ada dua. Pertama Strategi tilawah, ini merupakan strategi transfer pesan dakwah dengan lisan dan tulisan dari pendakwah ke penonton. Kedua strategi tazkiyah, ini merupakan strategi yang berfokus pada aspek kejiwaan seperti menyucikan jiwa manusia yang memiliki akhlak tercela, serakah, sombong, kikir, dan sebagainya. Kata kunci: Strategi Komunikasi Dakwah, Instagram, Abhizar Albiru Abstract Communication strategies function as a tool to disseminate Islamic information and invite people to the path of Allah. Da'wah communication strategy is also a tip used to spread goodness as described in the Qur'an and what has been exemplified by the Prophet. The presence of the Instagram application is a good forum for preachers to spread kindness to the community, as Abhizar did under the account name @abhizar.albiru. This study aims to examine in depth how Abhizar Albiru's da'wah strategy on the @abhizar.albiru Instagram application. In this study, a qualitative method with a descriptive approach was used. The data collection techniques used in this study are observation and documentation and use the content analysis method used to draw conclusions. The results of this study show that Abhizar Albiru's da'wah communication strategy on the Instagram account @abhizar.albiru is two. First, the recitation strategy, this is a strategy to transfer da'wah messages orally and in writing from the preacher to the audience. The second tazkiyah strategy, this is a strategy that focuses on psychological aspects such as purifying the human soul who has reprehensible morals, greed, arrogance, miserliness, and so on.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has significantly influenced the way Islamic preaching is disseminated. Social media platforms, particularly TikTok, have become effective tools for delivering religious messages to a broader audience, especially the younger generation. This study aims to analyze how Ustadz Abdul Somad (UAS) utilizes the TikTok platform to convey his preaching messages. The research employs a qualitative approach using observation techniques to examine UAS's preaching content on TikTok. The findings reveal that UAS is able to present Islamic messages in a concise, engaging, and communicative manner, allowing him to reach a wider audience. Furthermore, his choice of language and rhetorical style also contributes to the appeal and effectiveness of the preaching message delivery. Abstract

Peneliti ini meneliti bagaimana, pentingnya komunikasi positif antara orang tua dan anak dalam konteks ajaran Islam, dengan fokus pada Al quran surah Luqman ayat 12-19. Komunikasi yang efektif dalam keluarga berperan vital dalam pembentukan karakter dan perkembangan anak. Melalui pendekatan komunikasi yang baik, orang tua dapat memberikan arahan, pendidikan, serta mendengarkan kebutuhan anak, sehingga menciptakan hubungan yang harmonis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis kualitatif terhadap teks Al-Qur’an dan literatur terkait tentang komunikasi dalam keluarga. Penelitian ini juga mengacu pada prinsip-prinsip etika komunikasi dalam Islam, yang menekankan pentingnya adab dan penghormatan dalam interaksi. Dengan menganalisis komunikasi antara Nabi Ibrahim dan Nabi Isma’il sebagai contoh, jurnal ini mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai yang dapat diterapkan dalam komunikasi sehari-hari. Ditinjau dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa komunikasi yang harmonis antara orang tua dan anak tidak hanya memperkuat ikatan keluarga, tetapi juga membentuk generasi yang berakhlak mulia dan berkompeten dalam menghadapi tantangan kehidupan. Dengan demikian, memahami dan menerapkan komunikasi yang baik tidak hanya bermanfaat untuk perkembangan individu anak, tetapi juga untuk menciptakan lingkungan keluarga yang harmonis dan mendukung.

Abstract

This study investigates Teacher Instructional Communication Skills in Improving Batik Skills in Deaf Students at Senior High School (SMA) in Special Schools for the Special Needs of State Pembina Pekanbaru City. Batik is one of the skills taught to students, one of which is to Deaf students. To develop this skill, one of which is through Instructional communication. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study indicate that in improving the batik skills of deaf students at SLBN Pembina Pekanbaru, teachers use total instructional communication methods with projector media, batik tools and materials, textbooks and sign language. In addition, to improve students' batik skills, teachers also conduct ability and interest tests so that there is no coercion to follow the batik skills. Although obstacles are found from the students themselves, such as differences in student personality which sometimes cause differences in perception, teachers always try to find ways to convey information well and can be easily accepted by students.

Abstract

This study will analyze group dynamics in online communities and how interactions between community members occur. The existence of Whatsapp makes it easy for community members to share their ideas, information, and experiences. Using digital ethnography methods, data was collected using observation, interview, and content analysis techniques to study online groups and communities. In this study, it was found that educational discussion groups on the Whatsapp platform were very active and interactive in sharing information, expressing opinions, and providing support in terms of education. In addition, there was also a tendency for small subgroups to form with the same educational interests and goals. Goals, rules, and interactions between group members are the main factors that influence group dynamics on Whatsapp.

Abstract

Woman gettting more proof that they can living their life with their own abilities. With the growth of mass media this time, woman existention become more exist. One of those following mass media that have huge influence was film. This film is also a film that bring up gender existention theme which woman fight for. This research purpose to know about gender existention using Roland Barthes semiotic analysis through denotation, conotation and myth indicator. This research using descriptive qualitative methode. Data collection technique is using observation and documentation to this film. Unit analysis using scenes which take from Battle of Sexes film. The result shown that gender existention is exist in this film. Denotation indicator shown that woman proof their existention in real. From conotation, through hidden messages also shown that woman has the equal existention with man. Myth in this film tell that man and woman has the same existention, either in personal life or in society. This film succeed to lead the audiens to realize that woman has no difference with man, they are equal being in this world.

Abstract

Podcasts have become an increasingly popular phenomenon in recent years, significantly changing the traditional media landscape. With their ability to reach a global audience and provide content that can be accessed anytime, podcasts have become a serious competitor to traditional media such as radio and television Therefore, it is important to understand the role of podcasts in changing the way we consume information and entertainment. The background of this study is the need to understand the changes that are taking place in the media industry, especially due to the development of digital technology. With the advancement of the internet and mobile devices, consumers have greater access to a variety of content through podcasts, which in turn affects traditional media. By receiving this background information, it can help in assessing the impact of podcasts on the established media landscape. The research method used in this study is qualitative research. The data collection methods that will be used in this study include interviews, observations, and document analysis. The data analysis method that will be used in this study is thematic analysis. Data collected from interviews, observations, and document analysis will be analyzed inductively to identify emerging themes and patterns. The results of the research that has been conducted show that the role of podcasts in changing the traditional media landscape is very significant and has a strong impact. Podcasts have become one of the alternative media that are increasingly popular and in demand by the public quickly. This phenomenon arises because podcast content offers extraordinary flexibility for listeners to listen to content anytime and anywhere, according to their free time and interests. The conclusion of this study shows that the role of podcasts has provided new opportunities for individuals to produce and consume interesting audio content. With a flexible format and diverse content, podcasts are able to attract the attention of viewers who are looking for variety and deeper engagement.

Abstract

This raises concerns about the credibility of news and journalism, as deepfakes can be used to spread false information and manipulate public opinion. The purpose of this study is to discuss the impact of deepfake technology on news credibility, to compare it with previous research, and to evaluate the relevance of the findings to the current journalistic context. This study has important implications for journalism practitioners in facing new challenges from this technological advancement. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of deepfake technology on news and journalism credibility. Data collection methods used in this study include surveys, interviews, field experiments, and participant observation. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistical techniques and inferential analysis. Data from the survey and field experiments will be processed and analyzed to determine the level of change in perceptions of news credibility along with the use of deepfake technology. The results of the study indicate that deepfake technology has a significant impact on news and journalism credibility. According to the data collected, the use of deepfake in news production has led to a decline in public trust in the information presented by the media. In addition, these findings also highlight the importance of regulation and control in the application of deepfake technology in journalism to minimize the risk of spreading fake news and information manipulation. This emphasizes the need for a cautious approach to the use of technology that can damage the integrity of information and disrupt the fair and accurate reporting process. Cooperation between the media, government, and technologists is needed to overcome the negative consequences of deepfake in journalism. All parties must be responsible for ensuring the truth and fairness in presenting information to the public.
