Abstract

The high level of competition in the coal mining sector demands that companies optimize their strategies, technologies, and resources, including selecting the right vendors and partners, to survive and achieve maximum profit with minimal cost. The objective of this research is to select the best vendor for the procurement of wastewater quality monitoring at PT XYZ. The method used is the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). There are six criteria used in the vendor selection process: quality, cost, delivery, environment, safety, and morale. The weight of each criterion was obtained through a pairwise comparison process conducted by seven experts in supply management and occupational safety, using Saaty's scale. The consistency of judgments was verified using the Consistency Ratio (CR) calculation, and all comparison matrices met the CR threshold. Among five suppliers evaluated, Supplier 4 (coded as A4) emerged as the best vendor, achieving the highest overall weight across all criteria.

Abstract

The implementation of the rights and obligations of husbands and wives in rural Muslim communities does not take place within a normatively sterile framework; rather, it is shaped by a dynamic interaction between Islamic teachings and deeply rooted local cultures. In practice, the norms of Ahwal Syakhshiyyah are not always applied textually as prescribed in classical fiqh literature, but instead undergo processes of interpretation and adjustment in accordance with the social realities of village communities. This study aims to analyze how local cultural acculturation shapes the implementation of spousal rights and obligations, as well as the patterns of Ahwal Syakhshiyyah application in the context of rural Muslim societies. This study employs a qualitative approach using a library research method, analyzing normative sources of Islamic law, statutory regulations, and relevant sociological and anthropological literature. The data are examined through content analysis and contextual interpretation to identify patterns of integration between Islamic legal norms and local cultural values. The findings indicate that local culture plays a significant role in shaping role distribution, decision-making processes, and the resolution of household conflicts. On the one hand, patriarchal patterns that position the husband as the primary authority figure remain evident; on the other hand, more balanced husband–wife relations have emerged, particularly in economic matters and family deliberation. These findings underscore that Ahwal Syakhshiyyah in rural Muslim communities functions as a living law that is adaptive and contextual. This study contributes to the development of Islamic family law by emphasizing the importance of a contextual approach to ensure that the values of justice, compassion, and household harmony can be realized without compromising the substantive principles of Islamic teachings.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology requires educational institutions to continuously adapt their curricula to remain relevant, while simultaneously preserving education’s fundamental role in character development and the preservation of local cultural values. In practice, however, many schools—including pesantren-based schools—still face challenges in meaningfully integrating technology without weakening character education and local wisdom. This study aims to develop and examine the implementation of a technology-based adaptive curriculum that effectively strengthens students’ character while integrating local wisdom. The research was conducted at SMP Al-Ikhlas, Astanajapura District, Cirebon Regency. This study employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The findings indicate that a technology-based adaptive curriculum facilitates learning that aligns with students’ individual needs, interests, learning styles, and learning pace. The curriculum also provides opportunities for value-oriented and local wisdom–based projects and enables more holistic student assessment. Furthermore, technology plays a crucial role in providing interactive platforms and rich learning resources to internalize character values and promote local wisdom in a contextual manner. The implications of this study suggest that a technology-based adaptive curriculum offers both theoretical and practical guidance for curriculum developers, teachers, and policymakers in designing and implementing junior secondary education that is more relevant, adaptive, and rooted in noble cultural values.

Abstract

Brick production in traditional micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) often exhibits inconsistent quality. This condition leads to various physical defects in the final products and reduces the proportion of saleable bricks. The main problems identified include broken, burnt, and cracked defects. This study aims to analyze the dominant types of defects, identify their root causes, and formulate practical improvement actions applicable to MSMEs. The research employs a Pareto diagram to determine defect priorities, a fishbone diagram to identify root causes, and the 5W+1H analysis as a systematic tool for developing improvement actions. The Pareto analysis indicates that broken defects are the most dominant, accounting for 42% of total defects, followed by burnt defects at 38% and cracked defects at 20%. The fishbone analysis reveals that defects are primarily caused by unbalanced raw material composition, the absence of firing temperature measuring instruments, and uncontrolled drying processes. The 5W+1H analysis proposes improvement actions, including the use of firing temperature measurement tools, raw material measuring instruments, and the reorganization of the drying process to ensure greater stability and consistency. The study concludes that simple but well-controlled interventions in material mixing, firing, and drying stages can effectively reduce defect rates and improve the overall quality of brick production in MSMEs.

Abstract

Mixed Methods Research (MMR) faces significant challenges in integrating quantitative and qualitative findings, particularly when the two types of data produce conflicting interpretations. Although abductive logic has been widely discussed in qualitative research, its role as a systematic mode of reasoning for bridging data and paradigm tensions in MMR remains underexplored. This article aims to analyze the role of abductive logic across four major MMR models: convergent, sequential, embedded, and transformative. Using a conceptual review approach, the study demonstrates that abduction functions as an interpretive mechanism for simultaneous data conflicts in the convergent model; as a bridge for reinterpretation across research phases in the sequential model; as a trigger for critically re-evaluating dominant findings through minor data in the embedded model; and as an interpretive leap that challenges dominant meanings and opens spaces for emancipation in the transformative model. These findings underscore that abductive logic expands the interpretive scope of research outcomes and strengthens reflective and context-sensitive methodological integration, particularly in educational and social policy research.
