Abstract

Rapid population growth and land-use changes in urban areas often reduce the capacity of drainage systems, leading to waterlogging in residential neighborhoods. This condition is also evident in Tanggulangin District, Sidoarjo Regency, where several residential areas experience drainage dysfunction due to inadequate channel capacity and weak environmental management. This study aims to analyze the condition of residential drainage systems and formulate community-based management strategies. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) method, involving local residents, village officials, and technical agencies. Data were collected through field observations, semi-structured interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and documentation. The findings indicate that most drainage channels in the three study villages, Kedungbanteng, Banjarpanji, and Kalidawir, have experienced narrowing and siltation caused by sediment accumulation and domestic waste. Approximately 60% of the tertiary drainage network is not connected to the main secondary channels, resulting in frequent waterlogging in residential areas. Furthermore, community participation in drainage maintenance remains sporadic and lacks formal institutional organization. The study highlights that community-based drainage management, through participatory drainage mapping, the establishment of community-level drainage monitoring teams, and the implementation of simple infiltration technologies such as infiltration wells and biopores, can strengthen surface water management capacity in a more adaptive and sustainable manner.

Abstract

Pancasila, as the foundational philosophy of the Indonesian state, contains values that align with the teachings of Islam. Each principle of Pancasila embodies moral and spiritual aspects that can be found in Islamic teachings, namely the Qur’an and the Sunnah. This article aims to examine the values of Pancasila from the perspective of Islam and their relevance in the contemporary era. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a literature study technique, by reviewing various sources, both classical and modern, related to the theme of Pancasila and Islam. The results of the analysis show that Pancasila and Islam share normative harmony in building a just and harmonious social order. In the contemporary era, the values of Pancasila remain relevant as moral and ethical guidelines in facing the challenges of globalization, spiritual crisis, and moral degradation. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the integration of Islamic values in the practice of national life through Pancasila can strengthen national identity, reinforce unity, and maintain a balance between material and spiritual progress in Indonesian society. Thus, Pancasila is not something that contradicts Islam but rather serves as a means of harmonizing national and religious values.

Abstract

This study proposes an integrated framework that combines digital forensics, machine learning-based intrusion detection, and user trust assessment to enhance network security. A quantitative field-experimental approach was employed in a simulated network environment. A dataset of 5,000 network log records was used to train and evaluate a Random Forest classifier for cyberattack detection. In addition, a survey of 100 users was conducted to assess perceived security and trust using a 10-point Likert scale. The results indicate that the proposed approach improved attack detection accuracy from 80% to 95% while reducing the average detection time from 7 to 5 seconds. The Random Forest model achieved an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC-AUC) of 0.90, demonstrating strong classification performance. Furthermore, the mean user trust score increased from 6.8 to 8.5 following system implementation. These findings suggest that integrating digital forensic analysis with machine learning has the potential to improve both technical network security performance and users' perceived trust in digital systems.

Abstract

Marine debris has become a major environmental concern in coastal areas, particularly in semi-enclosed waters such as Ambon Bay. This study aimed to analyze the characteristics of macro marine debris based on material composition, quantity, mass, and density across four coastal monitoring stations in Ambon Bay. Field surveys were conducted in December 2025 using the shoreline transect method in accordance with the national marine debris monitoring guidelines. Macro debris larger than 2.5 cm was collected, classified by material type, counted, and weighed. Variations in material composition were assessed using the Shannon–Wiener diversity index (H'), while differences in debris mass among stations were analyzed using the non-parametric Kruskal–Wallis test. The results showed that plastic was the dominant material at all stations, resulting in low material diversity. Significant spatial differences in macro marine debris mass were also observed among the stations, with Poka exhibiting the highest debris accumulation, whereas Lateri showed a relatively more diverse material composition than the other stations. These findings indicate that the characteristics of macro marine debris vary spatially across Ambon Bay, highlighting the need for site-specific management strategies to support more effective coastal marine debris control

Abstract

The rapid growth of social media in Indonesia has increased digital interaction while also giving rise to hate speech issues that affect communication quality and social stability. This study aims to compare the performance of two Transformer-based models, IndoBERT and IndoRoBERTa, in Indonesian-language hate speech classification and to evaluate the effect of the SMOTE data balancing technique. The dataset consisted of Indonesian-language Twitter data that underwent preprocessing and was divided using an 80:20 stratified train-test split. Model training was conducted through fine-tuning, while evaluation employed accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. The results show that IndoRoBERTa outperformed IndoBERT across all evaluation metrics and was more effective in reducing classification errors. The application of SMOTE also improved the models' ability to detect minority classes, particularly in terms of recall. These findings indicate that the combination of Transformer-based models and data balancing techniques is effective in improving both classification accuracy and class balance in hate speech detection. Furthermore, the results suggest that the combination of IndoRoBERTa and SMOTE has strong potential to support the development of more accurate and adaptive automated content moderation systems for Indonesian-language social media platforms.

Abstract

Coastal areas are dynamic social–ecological systems that are highly vulnerable to global and local environmental pressures, requiring resilience-based management, particularly for coral reef ecosystems. This study aims to identify and synthesize resilience indicators and methodological approaches using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data were collected from Scopus and Google Scholar via Publish or Perish, yielding 172 initial articles, which were filtered down to 10 relevant studies. The results show that core ecological indicators—live coral cover, herbivore biomass, juvenile recruitment, macroalgae cover, and structural complexity—are consistently used as primary determinants of resilience. Anthropogenic pressures and socio-economic conditions also influence adaptive capacity but do not replace biophysical factors. However, variations in measurement methods, normalization, and indicator weighting limit cross-study comparability. Therefore, a standardized, transparent, and comparable assessment framework is needed. In conclusion, standardizing indicators and methods is essential to improve assessment reliability and support sustainable coral reef management and conservation.
