Abstract

The Human Development Index (HDI) data collection is an essential process for measuring and monitoring the progress of human development in a country or region. With the shift towards increasingly integrated digital technology, the use of Android-based applications offers the potential to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the collection, analysis, and reporting of HDI data. This technology integration enables real-time and accurate data collection utilizing Geographic Information System (GIS) device sensors, thereby expanding accessibility for communities and stakeholders. The aim of this research is to improve operational effectiveness while positively impacting environmental and socio-economic sustainability. Integrating HDI data collection with a circular economy paradigm can also aid in identifying priority areas for sustainable development interventions. Based on the implementation results, practicality in the efficiency and accuracy aspects of application usage achieved 86%, categorized as "Very Practical". Therefore, these findings indicate that the developed application can enhance the optimization of HDI data collection in Cianjur Regency

Abstract

The unpredictable weather in Batam City impacts the use of sea transportation, which is frequently used by residents for inter-island crossings. There is a need for a real-time monitoring system for wind speed and air temperature, along with notifications when wind speeds become potentially dangerous for sea transportation users. In this research, an Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring system for wind speed and air temperature was implemented using the Thingspeak platform for real-time monitoring. The test results demonstrated that the monitoring system could successfully store wind speed and air temperature data in the Thingspeak database. Additionally, Thingspeak was able to display graphs of wind speed and air temperature. The notification tests via Telegram showed that when the wind speed reached 1.5-2.9 m/s, an alert warning was sent, and when the wind speed exceeded 3 m/s, a danger warning was issued.

Abstract

In an organizational context, effective knowledge sharing can provide significant benefits to the organization. Efficient knowledge sharing can enhance the quality of individuals, thereby automatically improving the overall quality and performance of the organization. This process is particularly suitable for companies engaged in activities requiring complex knowledge, such as software development. However, to implement effective knowledge sharing, a company must possess strong internal capabilities. Furthermore, the forms of knowledge sharing implementation can vary depending on the organization. This research aims to identify the influencing factors of knowledge sharing along with their practical implementations within software development in general using systematic literature review. Several studies were obtained to answer the research questions. The results reveal those 40 distinct factors impacting knowledge sharing behavior individual, organizational, and technological aspects. Additionally, 16 different implementations of knowledge sharing were discovered, with knowledge repositories and meetings as the most common practices.

Abstract

Despite the scientific and health development in the world, water pollution can pose a threat to human health, whether the pollutants are biological or chemical. In addition, traditional methods of water pollution detecting require high costs, and take time. Due to the importance of water for human life, drinking, irrigation, or for use in industry etc. Thus, reliable methods for water contamination detecting are a crucial issue. This paper aims to propose an integration method of UML diagrams and Arduino UNO microcontroller for developing water pollution detection system. The proposed method consists of three phases, which are system’s design, system's schematic and system’s architecture. It uses use case diagram and sequence diagram. In addition, the system design consisting of a microcontroller and multiple connected sensors for water pollutant detection, namely pH, turbidity, dissolved solids, temperature, oxidation reduction potential and electrical conductivity. The result of this paper is the production an automatic water pollutant detection prototype using Arduino and UML diagrams to display the water pollution parameters. The variables pH, turbidity, dissolved solids, temperature, oxidation reduction potential and electrical conductivity were chosen because they are the physical and chemical parameters that most influence water quality. The proposed system is characterized by measuring the water quality in real time, low cost and its data is accurate and fast.

Abstract

ECG devices have been widely utilized by medical experts for cardiac health detection. It generates an analog signal that has intrinsic characteristics represented by PQRST waves. Each wave is useful for diagnostic purposes. However, ECG signal is prone to noise, particularly EMG noise. This noise occurs as a result of muscle contraction or sudden body movement of a subject. Several studies have been proposed to suppress the EMG noise on ECG. However, the complexity of an algorithm is a challenging task to be solved. Considering this problem, this research aims to suppress EMG noise using a low-complexity algorithm. To achieve this objective, a method of Butterworth bandpass filter DF-II has been proposed. The findings demonstrate that the proposed method improves SNR and signal power by 0.498dB and 0.006dBm/Hz respectively. It also demonstrates the capability to perform efficiently on a microcontroller unit.

Abstract

The increasing human population and rapid urbanization have led to a surge in the demand for manufactured products. This requires more complex and digitally connected control systems. Industrial automation, especially the use of a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), is key to improve efficiency and productivity. However, the integration of different brands of PLCs in one system faces challenges due to differences in systems, controls, and communication protocols. Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) is implemented to overcome this problem by connecting the controlling device to the supervisory software. This research aims to develop Node-RED based SCADA to monitor and control Modular Production Systems (MPS) with multi brand PLC integration. Multibrand integration is applied to implement and test the performance of FINS UDP and Modbus TCP protocols. The test results show FINS UDP has a lower delay (66.85 ms) and higher throughput (3706.2 bps) than Modbus TCP, which has a delay of (348.05 ms) and a throughput of (3353.25 bps).

Abstract

In recent years, face recognition has grown significantly in importance and popularity. Google created FaceNet, a deep learning system, in 2015, and it performs very well in creating extremely precise and personalised numerical representations of faces, or embeddings. In order to swiftly and effectively identify people, this study evaluates FaceNet's effectiveness in producing face embeddings and applies it to a variety of classification techniques, including support vector machine (SVM), decision tree, random forest, and k-nearest neighbours (KNN). A dataset with a wide range of positions, facial expressions, and lighting settings is used for the assessment. The findings of the experiment demonstrated that SVM with an radial basis function (RBF) kernel outperformed the other assessed classification techniques, achieving the maximum accuracy of 95%. These findings demonstrate the wide range of applications that face recognition technology may be used for, including identity management and security in different settings.

Abstract

Since digitalization spread ubiquitously in almost all industries, many traditional businesses have also joined the trend, including PT. XYZ. This company is a startup company that sells queue machines and kiosks. Since 2019, PT. XYZ runs its business through Indonesia’s e-commerce such as Tokopedia and Shopee. However, many competitors appear to collect more customers which made PT. XYZ is difficult to compete with the market industry as a newcomer. In this queue machine and kiosk industry, PT. XYZ already has an official certification from Indonesia’s government and PT. XYZ machines were produced and painted by themselves. But, these main values don’t increase sales because of the lack of brand awareness. Therefore, the company needs a digital transformation to enhance its digital marketing strategy. This study objective uses BMC, PESTEL, and SWOT to analyze the as-is model and to-be model of the company so that the analysis will have a digital transformation strategy to increase brand awareness and sales. The results of this research show that digital marketing is needed to replace current marketing methods and carry out initiatives related to human resources, organizational structure, policy, technology, and community.
