Abstract

In recent years, face recognition has grown significantly in importance and popularity. Google created FaceNet, a deep learning system, in 2015, and it performs very well in creating extremely precise and personalised numerical representations of faces, or embeddings. In order to swiftly and effectively identify people, this study evaluates FaceNet's effectiveness in producing face embeddings and applies it to a variety of classification techniques, including support vector machine (SVM), decision tree, random forest, and k-nearest neighbours (KNN). A dataset with a wide range of positions, facial expressions, and lighting settings is used for the assessment. The findings of the experiment demonstrated that SVM with an radial basis function (RBF) kernel outperformed the other assessed classification techniques, achieving the maximum accuracy of 95%. These findings demonstrate the wide range of applications that face recognition technology may be used for, including identity management and security in different settings.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sentimen pengguna aplikasi Generative AI (ChatGPT, Bing AI, Microsoft Co-Pilot, Gemini AI, dan Da Vinci AI) yang tersedia di AppStore dan Google Play menggunakan algoritma C4.5. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diambil dari ulasan pengguna yang tersedia di kedua platform. Proses penelitian meliputi pengumpulan data, pelabelan manual, dan pemrosesan data awal, termasuk pembersihan, tokenisasi, transformasi kasus, dan penghapusan stopword. Data yang diolah kemudian dianalisis menggunakan algoritma C4.5 untuk mengklasifikasikan sentimen menjadi positif, negatif, atau netral. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa algoritma C4.5 dapat mengklasifikasikan sentimen dengan akurasi, presisi, dan recall yang tinggi. Penelitian ini berkontribusi untuk memahami pendapat pengguna tentang aplikasi Generative AI dan membantu pengembang aplikasi meningkatkan kualitas dan kinerja aplikasi mereka berdasarkan umpan balik pengguna.

Abstract

Since digitalization spread ubiquitously in almost all industries, many traditional businesses have also joined the trend, including PT. XYZ. This company is a startup company that sells queue machines and kiosks. Since 2019, PT. XYZ runs its business through Indonesia’s e-commerce such as Tokopedia and Shopee. However, many competitors appear to collect more customers which made PT. XYZ is difficult to compete with the market industry as a newcomer. In this queue machine and kiosk industry, PT. XYZ already has an official certification from Indonesia’s government and PT. XYZ machines were produced and painted by themselves. But, these main values don’t increase sales because of the lack of brand awareness. Therefore, the company needs a digital transformation to enhance its digital marketing strategy. This study objective uses BMC, PESTEL, and SWOT to analyze the as-is model and to-be model of the company so that the analysis will have a digital transformation strategy to increase brand awareness and sales. The results of this research show that digital marketing is needed to replace current marketing methods and carry out initiatives related to human resources, organizational structure, policy, technology, and community.

Abstract

In the world of digital commerce, Artificial intelligence (AI) is starting to shift the game and transform how organizations run. AI benefits firms and consumers both in retail and digital commerce. This review provides a comprehensive analysis of the critical role AI plays in fostering value creation in the digital commerce industry, with a particular emphasis on the ways in which task and information complexity affect the application of AI technologies. The review then looks at AI possibilities in digital commerce from a variety of angles, such as supply chain efficiency, cost savings, product recommendation, enhanced customer experience and marketing plans. The aim of this review is to exploring how AI applications create value in e-commerce. The approach that was employed described the search technique for locating pertinent academic sources and was based on a survey of the literature on recent 15 studies about the effect of AI for Value Creation in Digital Commerce. Finally, the findings demonstrate that utilizing AI as an advanced instrument in the digital commerce sector appears to be a positive move since it applying AI may foster creativity, improve decision-making, and enhance overall marketing performance.

Abstract

This study analyzes the quality of service (QoS) in routing loops between Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) and Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) using Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) to prevent loops in network topology. OSPF uses a link-state algorithm, while EIGRP combines link-state and distance vector algorithms. Routing loops can cause network congestion and communication disruptions. Four routing scenarios on IPv6 were tested. Results show that EIGRP without STP yields a throughput of 93.973 Bytes with a delay of 0.147ms, while OSPF without STP yields 94.056 Bytes with a delay of 0.180ms. EIGRP with STP produces a throughput of 93.922 Bytes with a delay of 0.150ms, and OSPF with STP produces 94.056 Bytes. STP implementation improves OSPF delay but does not significantly affect throughput. No packet loss occurred in all scenarios. OSPF without STP had the lowest jitter at 0.011ms, and EIGRP with STP had the highest at 0.0124ms. This study shows that the choice of routing protocol and STP implementation affects IPv6 network performance, depending on throughput or delay priorities.

Abstract

The issue with the remote access involved in the process of controlling and monitoring of electric lightings becomes an intriguing of a area to be further explored. IoT based remote control and monitoring system can be one of the solutions for this issue through the applications of ESP8266 as the main controller, PZEM-004T sensor to monitor the lighting's electricity, and a relay as the electrical switch for the lighting's contol. This system runs using Microphthon combined with Blynk. Also added into the system a web interface which utilizes Blynk API, thus enabling it to be accessed from all devices anywhere. The result showed that the system runs well. This study also showed that IoT technology can be applied in managing household appliances such as lightings.

Abstract

This paper focuses on the fabrication and performance evaluation of rice polishing machine. The motor power of the machine is 1.5 hp and rotational speed is 1440 rpm. This motor uses v-belt transmission system to drive the main shaft and blower shaft. The number of two belts are used in this transmission system. The diameter of the main shaft is 22mm. ASME code equation is used to design the main shaft for rice polishing machine. Square key is used and shear and torsional strength of the key are 58.5404MPa. Single-row deep groove ball bearing is selected for left and right bearing of main shaft. The average milling efficiency, broken efficiency and milling capacity and moisture contents for existing and modified blade were compared. The average milling capacity is 35.23 kg/h, 38.41 kg/h and 41.76 kg/h with modified blade and 30.35 kg/h, 32.20 kg/h and 34.03 kg/h with existing blade at the moisture condition of 13%, 12% and 11%, respectively. As comparison results, the modified blade of the machine has more efficient and convenience than the existing blade of the machine.

Abstract

Universities play a crucial role in developing high-quality human resources through Internship and Community Service Programs, which prepare students with professional skills and relevant competencies. However, implementing these programs often faces issues such as inefficiencies in registration, documentation, and progress reporting. To address these challenges, a university department developed and implemented a comprehensive web-based application system. This research aims to improve and refine the application through software maintenance processes, employing an iterative incremental method with phases including planning, requirements, analysis and design, implementation, testing, and evaluation, conducted repeatedly according to the prioritized order of feature improvements. After being maintained, the application is tested through functional testing using black box techniques and automation tools. Results indicate that the maintenance process successfully ensured the application functions according to established scenarios and requirements, thereby enhancing support for administrative processes of internships and community service programs and overcomes previous management challenges.

Abstract

This paper presents the analysis on hetero-structure band diagram designs and electrical characteristics of light emitting diode (LED). This work is based on physical parameters of ZnCdSe, a ternary alloy semiconductor composed of Zinc (Zn), Cadmium (Cd), and Selenium (Se). In this work, the band diagram design results for n-ZnCdSe/p-Si heterojunction leds are approved by the parameters of the material such as such as effective masses of the materials, doing concentrations, electron and hole hall mobilities, bandgap bowing and so on. The electrical characteristics (energy dispersion with wave vector, intrinsic carrier concentration with temperature, intensity with wavelengths) of LED based on ZnCdSe material are also analyzed in this paper. This simulation curves are done by computer simulation. The band layer design for n-ZnCdSe/p-Si LED confirmed the high quality LED for real applications. This research gives information for the researchers who study in electronic and optoelectronic semiconductor devices.

Abstract

Rainfall has a significant influence in the planning and management of various industries such as forestry, agriculture, and water resources. This research aims to develop a Hybrid model that combines Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), Support Vector Regression (SVR) and Prophet models to predict rainfall in the DKI Jakarta area more accurately. Using DWT, rainfall data is divided into high and low frequency components, then the prediction results from each model are combined. At Kemayoran Station, the Hybrid model (High Frequency SVR and Low Frequency Prophet) provides the best performance with SMAPE: 36.44%. At Tanjung Priok Station, the non-Hybrid model gave the best results, with Prophet without DWT achieving SMAPE: 29,82%. This study provides a clear understanding of how effective rainfall prediction models are in DKI Jakarta, which helps water resources planning and management.
