Abstract

The distribution system and method of installing electrical installations in Indonesia must follow the rules set by PUIL (General Regulations on Electrical Installations) which was published in 1977, then revised in 1987 and last in 2011. PUIL 2011 is the main technical reference for installing low voltage electrical installations. The purpose of this community service is to provide knowledge to students about the importance of electrical lighting installations in accordance with PUIL regulations to avoid the danger of fire or electric shock. Another goal is to provide knowledge about work safety in installing electrical installations because of the frequent occurrence of work accidents during installation. The problems faced by the community are the lack of knowledge of the community / high school students about (1) Lack of special skills for Kesatrian High School graduates in analyzing electrical problems, especially in electrical lighting installations in accordance with PUIL standards (2) Lack of detailed explanation through a theoretical approach regarding the basic problems of electrical lighting installations for graduates of SMA Kesatrian 2. The training provided is in the form of providing material explanations, regarding the basic legal understanding of electrical installations, Law No. 30 of 2009 concerning Electricity, Government Regulation (PP) No. 25 of 2023 concerning       Electrical Safety Replacing PP No. 10 of 1989 and updating safety standards,” In addition, there is ESDM Ministerial Regulation No. 12 of 2021 concerning Electrical Power Utilization Installations SNI 04-0225-2000 concerning Procedures for planning electrical installations in Buildings. The expected results are that students can read single diagram drawings and wiring diagrams, are able to apply them in practice in the field and indirectly develop a sense of independence. The approach methods offered to solve the partner's problem are (1) providing training to students of Kesatrian 2 Semarang High School about the electrical power installation process, (2) conducting simulations about how to install electrical power.

Abstract

Bucor Wetan Village in Pakuniran District, Probolinggo Regency, is a disaster-prone area that frequently experiences power outages due to strong winds and flooding. This situation poses serious challenges to emergency response efforts, such as providing lighting, communications, and operating essential equipment. This community service activity aims to improve the community's knowledge and skills in building emergency boxes based on solar power plants (PLTS) as an alternative energy solution that can be used independently during disasters. The methods used included participatory theoretical and practical training, device assembly, field trials, simulations of utilization in disaster scenarios, and technical assistance. The training results showed a 42% increase in participants' understanding based on pre- and post-tests, as well as the successful assembly of emergency boxes capable of supplying electricity for basic needs such as LED lights and charging mobile phones for more than 6 hours. In conclusion, this activity successfully equipped the community with practical skills in utilizing renewable energy, improved disaster preparedness, and promoted energy independence based on environmentally friendly technologies at the community level.

Abstract

Pelatihan pengelolaan sekolah berbasis website pada SDN Anjir Serapat Muara 1.2 kabupaten Barito Kuala bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan teknis dan manajerial kepala sekolah, para guru serta staf sekolah dalam mengelola website sekolah. Era digital saat ini, kehadiran website sekolah yang informatif sangat penting untuk mendukung komunikasi yang efektif antara sekolah, siswa, orang tua, dan masyarakat luas. Kegiatan pelatihan ini meliputi materi dasar pengelolaan konten dan pemanfaatan platform website untuk meningkatkan visibilitas situs sekolah. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah ceramah, praktik langsung, serta diskusi untuk memastikan peserta mampu mengaplikasikan pengetahuan yang diperoleh secara mandiri. Kegiatan pelatihan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta terkait pengelolaan website sekolah, yang diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas layanan informasi dan komunikasi di SDN Anjir Serapat Muara 1.2 kabupaten Barito Kuala.

Abstract

The transformation of learning systems due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic has pushed educational institutions to adopt digital technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI). However, not all educators particularly in madrasahs have the necessary understanding and skills to utilize AI as a learning medium. This community service program aimed to enhance the competencies of teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Islam Mandastana in understanding and implementing AI-based learning tools. The method used was Participatory Action Research (PAR), consisting of three main stages: socialization, training and mentoring, and independent practice. Evaluation was carried out using pre-tests and post-tests, as well as direct observation. The results indicated a significant improvement in participants’ competencies, with an average increase of 55,10%. Additionally, the program led to positive changes in teaching approaches, improved student motivation, and enhanced accessibility to learning materials. In conclusion, the AI-based training successfully addressed the technological competency gap among teachers and contributed positively to the madrasah’s teaching and learning practices.

Abstract

Peningkatan literasi digital di kalangan siswa MA Ma'arif NU SAINS Sumbang menjadi hal yang sangat penting dalam menghadapi tantangan dunia maya, terutama dalam mencegah kasus cyberbullying. Cyberbullying merupakan salah satu dampak negatif dari penggunaan teknologi digital yang dapat mempengaruhi kesehatan mental dan emosional remaja yang seringkali berujung pada stres, depresi, atau penurunan prestasi akademik. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan, masih di temui adanya cyberbullying di lingkungan siswa MA Ma'arif NU SAINS Sumbang, namun siswa tidak menyadari yang dilakukan oleh siswa merupakan kegiatan cyberbullying, hal ini dikarenakan masih kurangnya pengetahuan literasi digital siswa. Oleh karena itu perlu kegiatan pengabdian dengan yang bertujuan Peningkatan literasi digital untuk mencegah cyberbulyying di lingkungan MA Ma'arif NU SAINS Sumbang. Metode yang diterapkan pada kegiatan ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Hasil setelah dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian terlihat Partisipasi aktif dari 43 siswa kelas XI dan XII menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi terhadap topik ini, yang merupakan indikator keberhasilan dalam penyampaian materi, sehingga dapat dinyatakan kegiatan pengabdian ini telah berhasil mencapai tujuannya untuk meningkatkan literasi digital siswa MA Ma'arif NU SAINS Sumbang serta kesadaran mereka dalam mencegah cyberbullying.

Abstract

An-Najah Student Islamic Boarding School is an Islamic educational institution domiciled in Purwokerto, Central Java. Throughout its development, this Student Islamic Boarding School has strived to continuously innovate in providing learning for students that is relevant to the needs of the times. Specifically in terms of technology application, An Najah strives to improve students' skills in managing web-based information and education portals as a way for students to play an active role in cyberspace by disseminating useful information in accordance with Islamic values. In managing the portal as an information and education center, there are obstacles that urgently require immediate solutions. Portal managers, consisting of students who have been equipped with media development and content creation skills, face difficulties in creating portal content intensively and routinely. The difficulty lies more in how to find content ideas, inspiration, and then create content based on contemporary journalistic principles that suit the tastes of Generation Z. This difficulty impacts the long broadcast period of content due to constant changes and out-of-date content. As a solution, portal managers need to be equipped with knowledge of content creation and digital journalism skills through training activities. The digital journalism training aims to provide students with an understanding and skills in digital journalism, from news writing and content creation to managing social media as a means of preaching and education. This activity includes training, mentoring, and evaluation. The training is expected to enable portal managers to maintain the intensity of content distribution by creating content intensively and creatively based on the principles of digital journalism.

Abstract

Legal awareness within society is a fundamental factor in establishing an orderly, just, and civilized social life. However, in the Muara Sabak area, many community members still lack an understanding of their legal rights and obligations and remain unaware of the mechanisms to obtain free legal aid. In response to this condition, a community service program was carried out by the Lembaga Bantuan Hukum (Legal Aid Institute) Samudra Muara Sabak, aiming to enhance public understanding and legal awareness through the socialization of the institution’s roles and services. The methods employed included lectures, interactive discussions, and simple case simulations designed in a participatory and communicative manner. The results demonstrated a significant increase across all aspects measured through pre- and post-activity evaluations, particularly in understanding the right to legal aid, knowledge of legal aid institutions, and awareness of resolving issues through lawful means. The average improvement of 40–45% indicates the effectiveness of the socialization method in bridging the information gap between the community and formal legal institutions. Beyond improving knowledge, the program also encouraged behavioral changes, as participants became more inclined to pursue legal channels for conflict resolution and actively disseminate legal information within their communities. Thus, this activity not only strengthened the role of LBH Samudra Muara Sabak as a strategic partner in legal empowerment but also made a tangible contribution to fostering a fair, rational, and civilized legal culture as the foundation for developing a legally conscious society within a democratic state framework.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase public understanding and awareness of regulations and the implementation of fines in the Pematang Rahim Village Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM). Outreach was conducted through a community approach utilizing social media as a means of communication and education. Implementation methods included initial observation, educational content creation, and interactive online and offline discussions. The results of the activity showed an increase in public understanding of SPAM regulations from 45% to 87%, knowledge of the fine system from 32% to 80%, and compliance with timely payments from 58% to 90%. Furthermore, community participation in community discussions also increased from 40% to 85%, indicating growing awareness and active community involvement in the management of clean water services.

Abstract

Quality and ethical public service is a fundamental pillar for realizing governance that is just, transparent, and oriented toward community welfare. This community service program aims to enhance the understanding and application of sharia legal principles in public service within Pematang Rahim Village, Mendahara Ulu Subdistrict, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency. The initiative was motivated by the limited understanding of village officials regarding Islamic legal values that should underpin ethical governance practices. The implementation employed a participatory and educational approach through interactive socialization, reflective lectures, and focus group discussions (FGDs) emphasizing the application of the principles of ‘adl (justice), amanah (trustworthiness), and maslahah (public benefit) in public service contexts. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ understanding based on pre-test and post-test evaluations, increasing from 57.7% to 87.3% (a rise of 29.6%). The highest improvement occurred in the aspect of public service ethics based on sharia principles (30%), followed by the ability to apply sharia values in governance (30%), and understanding of basic sharia law concepts (29%). Beyond knowledge enhancement, the program fostered collective awareness among village officials, reflected in their initiative to draft the Islamic Public Service Ethics Guidelines as a follow-up action. Thus, this program not only strengthens the intellectual and spiritual capacity of village officials but also represents a strategic step toward establishing a village governance system that is just, transparent, accountable, and grounded in Islamic ethical values.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the legal understanding of the managers and owners of the Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) in Pematang Rahim Village regarding the drafting of contracts and cooperation agreements with third parties. The main issue faced by the partners is the lack of understanding of formal legal aspects in every collaboration, which often leads to potential disputes and imbalances in rights and obligations. Through a participatory-based legal mentoring approach, participants were provided with training, simulations, and assistance in drafting contracts in accordance with legal regulations. The results of the activity showed a significant improvement in various aspects of the participants’ legal competence. Based on the evaluation, understanding of contract elements and the principles of contract law increased by 85%, as reflected in the post-test results and participants’ ability to identify the legal components of a valid agreement under civil law. Furthermore, practical skills in drafting valid and binding written agreements improved by 80%, as demonstrated by the quality of cooperation contract drafts prepared by participants during the mentoring sessions. This improvement also had a positive impact on SPAM’s institutional governance, where the level of transparency and accountability increased by 75%, accompanied by the application of justice principles in decision-making and the distribution of responsibilities among parties. Overall, this community service activity had a tangible impact on strengthening SPAM’s institutional governance to become more professional, transparent, accountable, and equitable, while also fostering an adaptive and sustainable legal culture at the village level.
